Nice, casual, low-key pizza place. Pizza was awesome, love the "create your own" pizza, where you can choose as many toppings as you want for a flat price. I love how crusty and airy the dough came out! Customer service was good, had patience. Just a little too casual ( I.e. asked how much was a bottled soda, and the cash register worker said "I think it's ..." IMO, just check the price if you are not sure. So we came to Mod pizza because we eat at Blaze and Pie 5 but my husband loves anchovies and they don't have them and Mid does. There was a short line but the inefficiency of the workers was so frustrating. One was standing at the register waiting for customers who needed to pay. They ran out of pie crusts and maybe while waiting she could have made some. They write down what you want on the paper when they could just ask as move down the line. One guy must have been new because he didn't know what some of the toppings were. So mine was 1/2 and when I got mine my husbands hadn't even been put in the oven yet when it said 2/2 on the paper. The pizza tasted great and I want to try it again. Loved the pear iced tea and the different types of toppings. So 4 stars for pizza, 2 for service, but maybe it was an anomaly. read more

We had a nice meal here tonight. The place is small but cozy and comfortable. I can't say it's the best product on the market (bagby pizza in pikesville is better). But being so close to us, MOD is definitely a quick and fun place. Although it seems to be the new craze these days I still love the concept of the fast, made to order pizza. Plus they know how to do it right here. The salad was decent too and I like how you can pretty much get whatever you want in terms of unlimited toppings. It's cheap too and the pear iced tea is delicious. I think that on weekends finding parking is going to be difficult. But tonight we had no problem. read more

I ordered the mod salad and felt it was an amazing value for the price and the toppings. The regular "mod" size is a bit big for one person, so I'd try the side next time to compare, but it was great as leftovers and cost less than a salad elsewhere in Columbia. read more

Went in expecting decent service since it was recently opened. There were two of us and we asked for the staff to switch out there latex gloves for new ones since we didn't want the previously created meat dishes on there hands. They clearly didn't like this request and begrudgingly stitched them out. Even after all that our food was mediocre at best. We had salads and pizza sry that time but I'm not sure if I would go back to give it another try. read more

Finally got to check out MOD pizza and was pleasantly surprised! My husband and I stopped in about 15 minutes before closing and were greeted with a smile and friendly employee. The employee asked if we had ever been there before and we replied no. She explained how ordering worked and offered extras add on's(salads, breadsticks) I got the buffalo chicken pizza(don't remember the exact name) and my husband got the BBQ style pizza! When our orders came out they said they were not happy with how my husbands pizza turned out so they were making another one on the house! The pizza was crispy and delicious! Decent fast pizza. Similar to Blaze and Pie Five. It was actually a tad better. What disturbed me was, as I and others came in at 9 on a Saturday (they close at 11), the employees seemed bothered by our coming in at this hour. I can understand being tired, but when you're visibly wishing customers would stop coming in two hours before closing time, simply close two hours earlier so that you're not pissed as people come in. I hate that this country has moved to a service industry because the youngsters just don't know customer service. I guess it's rubbing off on the older folks too. read more

The sauce was very flavorful, but the dough was undercooked and very chewy. We enjoyed it except it didn't feel like pizza because of the crust. We got it takeout and it didn't really seem like it was in long enough, and it was proven correct with the chewy consistency. The milkshake was good, but very thick. MOD offers gluten-free, dairy-free options. My mom has a ton of allergies (corn, beans, legumes, gluten, citrus). Anyway, their GF dough has none of those items and is safe for her to eat! Woo Hoo! Visited this establishment for the first time about a week ago. One of the better pizza joints around in this area. The Mod pizza size is more than enough for one person to eat. The ingredients were very fresh and the staff was very friendly. The price was perfect as well. You can get what ever toppings you want at no extra cost, it is all one set price you really just pay for your size pizza. I will definitely repeat again and again. read more

My family had a good time at MOD, the pizza was pretty good, easy to order and the wait was not long at all. The outdoor seating is nice, there are some play structures for kids if you have little ones and want to have them burn some energy after. Kid friendly. A big thing for us is finding somewhere with friendly staff, good food, and toddler friendly and the columbia location nailed it. We will be back. read more

Really neat concept. I chose a pizza off the menu and asked for a slight modification (no sauce on top) on my pizza. Service was efficient but the communication between the workers there wasn't the best. I heard one of the workers tell another about four times not to put sauce on the top of my pizza. Of course my pizza comes out with sauce on top. The cinnamon sticks are awesome but I ordered frosting dip and again one worker told another what type I wanted and I ended up with the wrong one. I love the MOD by my house, so I had to try out this one while I was visiting family in MD. I was welcomed with a "Welcome to MOD!" When I walked in the door. All the staff were friendly and I was given Generous toppings on my delicious and tasty pizza. I tried the cinnamon sticks and they were yummy with the cinnamon dipping sauce. Had my first visit the other day. I placed an online order and showed up about 5 mins after the order was to be ready. I still had to wait about 20 mins more! It was crowded so I figured maybe that was a fluke and the pizza was good. I went back again today. Hardly anyone in line (great!)...I placed an in person order for an 11 inch mad dog. As I'm waiting for my order, the line is growing. I then start to see people who ordered AFTER me receive their orders (sometimes 3 pizzas)! I asked the server if he had seen my order. He pointed to a lonely pizza on the side and asked if it was mine because it didn't have a slip. Really??? I'm like I don't know...aren't you supposed to know? Finally, I just took the order which I had to box up myself because he had moved on to the next order. I live about 5 mins away and the pizza was ice cold when I arrived home.
