Pizza was fantastic as usual, especially the Caspian with a couple of little personal touches. My biggest complaint is the kid cleaning kept dragging the chairs over and over so loud we couldn't even have a conversation. It's happened several times in the past and I've heard other people talk about how obnoxious the metal chairs on the concrete floor can absolutely ruin dinner. We have been visiting MOD all over the country and typically have zero issues, but here they are extremely tight with the toppings. The gal literally had 1/2 a handful of cheese and I had to asked her twice for a bit more. It got even worse with the meats. It's always clean. You'll always find a young group behind the counter ready to serve and generally happy. This is the only Modd in CDA so expect a wait. Sometimes the wait is excessive. Once you order, you'll wait even longer for your pizza. They have one brick oven for dozens of customers. You'll be lucky if you order to-go and walk out in 20 minutes. You may wait as long as 45 minutes frequently. The pizza crust on the bottom is almost always charred in spots and over cooked but still quite delicious. This is one of our favorite meals so the slow service isn't enough to deter us for the most part. But sometimes we skip it simply because we don't want to stand around getting in the way. They can build salads as well. Is it the best pizza Ive ever eaten? No, but its pretty good; especially if you favor thin crusts. The double crust pizza wasnt anything like deep dish which is what I was hoping for but that didnt bother me too much. It was thick enough that it sated my pizza craving. I will be sure to ask for extra cheese next time as she skimped on that. My error for not asking. Otherwise, a very tasty pizza with fresh ingredients. Ive attached pics of the menu. Drink selection is great. You have all your typical fountain drinks. They have beer on tap as well as a few bottled drinks at the counter. I enjoyed the mango-orange fountain drink myself. For dessert, I grabbed a chocolate treat from the counter (similar to a Hostess Ding Dong). Yummy! The facility is relatively new or looks new to me. I found nothing out of order or inconvenient. Theres ample parking with handicap access. I think the best part of MOD is you can tske your family or group and there's no arguing over which type of pizza to get. Seem like if would be a great place to get a light lunch. Pretty much the menu is pizza or salad,pretty smart since both use the same toppings. Food is served quickly but they missed a topping, no big deal. Had the "Caspian" which is a thin crust pizza with bbq sauce, mozzarella, chicken, gorgonzola and red onion (which I substituted with bacon). Pizza was decent if you like a thin crust pizza (which I am not a huge fan of). Overall the place seems put together good. They are taking phone/online orders and you stand and wait no less than 15-30 minutes. After being treated bad by another business today when trying to put in a holiday lunch order for my employees, I left that establishment choosing not to give them my business and went over to MOD Pizza, who I have always had a good experience with. When I walked in I asked them if it was going to be an inconvenience to order six pizzas on the spot, they said no and treated me wonderfully! I had told him the experience I had just had at the other restaurant and they couldn't believe how I was treated. I ate here a few months back, I have always wanted to try it every time we went to Seattle but never got around to it so when we got one in Coeur d' Alene I was excited! This is pretty much a subway style pizza place!! :) You go in pick your size and you can either choose one of their special pizzas or you can choose which toppings you want which is so awesome when you have a family full of people who like different things. Once you pick all of your toppings they place your pizza in a stone pizza oven the whole process is kinda fast. If you don't want pizza you can do a salad! Our "pizza maker" was super fun and helpful since it was my first time, and the other staff was just as helpful!! There is a nice sized dinning area, lots of different fun drink options. The pricing was a little higher then I would normally pay for fast food. Overall the food was good and we will probably return! read more
