When I saw Chico had a Woodstocks, I had to visit! We got a small salad and a personal pizza (the even do half/half on personals!). Service was friendly and prompt, and our drinks and salad came out quickly. I did an "upgrade" on my cocktail to add an additional shot for $3 (visiting Chico after all!) and it was perfect! Great addition! Greek salad was super fresh and delicious! Lots of great flavorful veggies, and a great dressing. Our personal pizza came out a few minutes later, and was still dangerously hot! I love it when I get food that is so fresh it is still piping hot! Pizza was awesome - plenty of toppings, and the classic curled/folded crust is still a hit! Awesome! Always glad to see these old institutions holding up! Woodstocks is a classic! On another note - they were doing live music and letting local bands play on one side of the restaurant - and drew a crowd on the street and across the street! I love to see businesses that support the arts -and this really added to the lively and festive atmosphere! Good on you Woodstocks! Sorry, just got a good shot of the salad - trust me, the pizza was awesome too - apparently we couldn't control ourselves when it hit the table!

Not bad enough to complain but really weren't up to standard based on price and description. We ordered the Special which was a pile of angel hair pasta mixed with pesto in the middle (very dry), and around that it was supposed to have chicken, asparagus, roasted garlic and heirloom tomatoes. I can't remember what else. I only found two small bites of chicken. Not worth $34. The other dish was the Chicken Picatta and the sauce was very thick, not the lighter thin sauce with capers we've become used to and green bell peppers were one of the veggies they added to the pasta. Those are so over powering to the other flavors of artichoke hearts and mushrooms. The balance of ingredients was just off for how much money they now charge. We were promptly seated, and given a great spot near the wall-sized indoor fountain which was nice. We started with cocktails and appetizers, and they all came out quickly. We started with bread, which was excellent. We moved on to the grilled artichokes, which were also pretty special. The jalapeno aioli added to the smokiness of the grilled artichokes. We loved them. The bib salad was also a treat - nice chop, and the lardons were perfectly cooked little flavor bombs that stood up nicely to the blue cheese. We had the lobseter ravioli, and the single-layer crispy lasagne for our meals. The lobster ravioli was delicious, and the freshly made sundried tomatoes added a little extra structure to balance the plate. The single layer lasagne was really interesting. Wasn't sure what to expect, and the server said it was a little controversial, so I tried it. It came out as a large sheet - fresh spinach pasta sheets, layered with a delicious bolognese sauce, and topped with pesto and bechamel. Unconventional? Yes. Delicious? YES! I'm so glad I was feeling experimental - it was an innovative dish. Overall, we loved it. Service was very solid - attentive, without being intrusive. Perfect evening! Previous review: Dropped in here just to check it out. We came early on Thursday, and it was jumping! Got a seat at the Kitchen bar to have a few apps, and a cocktail, and had a fantastic snack and talked with some great folks in the kitchen. The food was delicious as always (I had the Allen Prime Rib and my wife had the Short Rib Stroganoff). But what took it over the top was our server - Ethan. He was friendly, warm, personable, attentive, and on top of everything. Being at a great restaurant with great food is only a GOOD experience if your server is disengaged, but when your server is awesome, it elevates everything. By far one of the best pizza places in the city of Chico. I have been to other mods around California and this definitely my favorite one I've been to. The food is of the highest quality and as fast as any Burger King or McDonald's you'll go to. The team greets you right when you walk in and you can really feel the positive environment in the building. The team is very interactive with the customers and all really seem to be enjoying what they are doing. Overall great establishment, and even better food! read more

The pizza is great, most of the time, but the staff is trash. Everyone, any time I have ever been in there, is always talking and more concerned about their 'trips' and weekend plans than giving customers a slice of their time. No one has any enthusiasm. The entire staff and the inept child like managers just shrug their shoulders, no one cares in there. I get it food is a shit job and not always fun, but no job is, how hard is it to fake it til you make it - to the end of your shift anyways. read more
