The food here is fine but the employees have no integrity. I ordered two mod pizzas, and had two separate employees customizing the two of them with me. I get to the final cheeses and toppings on the first pizza, ask for a few, and then my second pizza comes up and I'm asked about final toppings on this one. IMMEDIATELY after I start telling the second employee what id like on the second pizza, the first employee takes my first pizza away without ever asking if I was finished ordering and customizing this pizza. THEN COMES THE GOOD PART My first pizza comes out of the oven first, of course. The employee who is expediting the pizzas calls out a name, and someone picks up the pizza. This customer makes it back to their table, before realizing this WASNT THEIR PIZZA, IT WAS MINE. So this customer takes it back to the counter to let them know it isn't hers. Not even 10 seconds later they call out my name to serve me my pizza, who was just handled by another customer. I WITNESSED THIS, yes I INTENTIONALLY didn't ask the employee about it to see if they would offer to remake the pizza, as ANOTHER CUSTOMER HANDLED MY FOOD. He just brushed it off as if it didn't even happen. Im honestly incredibly disappointed in the employees at mod for not even taking the time to make sure all their customers are ordering the pizzas the way they'd like them before throwing them in the oven, as well as having the integrity to mention that they messed up and GAVE SOMEONE ELSE MY FOOD ON A TRAY before handing it to me just seconds later. read more

Needed food for family, they want Mod: Lights on, 10 people eating and employees making pizza, adding toppings. All the food is out, drinks, good times for all. Except me, the manager, Brandon comes over and tells me we just closed, you'll have to leave. Surprised I look at my watch, 10PM on the nose. When I asked for a break, really hungry- spent the day at Enloe, all the lights are on employees are still making pizzas as we talked, he looked and said in a firm demanding tone NO, WE CHANGED THE HOURS YOU HAVE TO LEAVE NOW. Not sure why he had to mad dog me,and all. When I said relax, he muttered under his breath about his lousy pay and the BS a**holes he has to put up with isn't worth it. Hola! So this place is legit awesome. One price to stack a pie/pizza up with some solid ingredients. Which if you've been to this chain before it's not new news. But the people here are nice. I chose the dairy free cheese (just for the hell of it) and the lady helping me out asked if it was out of choice or because of allergy reason. Because if it was out of an allergy reason, they would use different cutting utensils and boards. Which is a sound question but a question I've never been asked before at places when I ordered dairy free. So for that I give this joint 5 - stars. We love the concept of Mod Pizza, the best food value around. The customer is the chef and you can really "have it your way." Not this night in Chico. The young chef Rebecca told me I couldn't have more meat on my pizza after her first pass. MOD Pizza is awesome! Just about every time you walk in, you get greeted like a friend. You choose what you want on your pizza so you pretty much can't go wrong. Best thing for me, being lactose intolerant, is that MOD carries dairy-free cheese. I can once again go out for pizza! They always make sure to change gloves and get uncontaminated toppings on my pizza. If Heather is working, I make sure to go to her because she will take the extra step in making sure my pizza is not cut with a cutter that has been used on a regular pizza. This is the only place we go to for pizza anymore. Super customizable, every option in the world, great food, great service, fast, consistent every time! We love their beer selection, and the patio is an amazing place for a hot pie and a cold beer. Pizza is good but customer service was absolutely horrible. I came in today 8/27 around 1:40pm and Kendrick (I asked another worker for this guys name so hopefully he knew who I was talking about) was so effing rude. I redeemed a pocket point coupon for a free personal pizza and I simply asked if Create Your Own goes towards the coupon. And he just stared at me and just nodded his head like he seemed annoyed. Whatever. He made my pizza and then I went to the register so I can show him my coupon because cashiers have to approve of it. He was just talking away with another worker until that worker was like hey she's waiting. And then he asked me if I wanted A drink, i said no I'm good, and he said" you're all set". I was like okay cool but here's the coupon you have to approve and he didn't even do anything and I was like ummm okay should I approve it then? Like is that okay? I ordered a MOD salad online for lunch, and when I went to pick it up, they had made a side salad for me by accident. I didn't realize it until I got back to work, but I called them to let them know and they offered to make me a new salad right away. Great customer service, yes. BUT my lunch break was over and I had mentioned that, expecting to pick it up after I got off or something like that. But instead, they said they could deliver it to my work & MOD doesn't even do deliveries - they use a 3rd party to do so. Good customer service has been hard to find for the last few years, mostly because of COVID & employers constantly looking for employees. But this location provided extremely generous customer service, during the lunch rush with what I assume to be limited staff members.
