    Gluten free pizza

Always good. It's not gluten free-so be careful of cross contamination but if you're not as sensitive you'll be good!

The kids and I had just finished a trail at a nearby park when my husband called on his way home from work. We decided to meet up at MOD Pizza for lunch before heading home. The concept is the same as Your Pie, Rise Pie, Blaze, Pieology, etc. They have a menu of their pizza creations or you can build your own. You pick your dough, sauce, toppings and finishing sauce. The pies are all cooked in a fire oven at whatever crazy high temp at whatever crazy short time to bake it. I love coming to pizza places like MOD, because the whole fam can all order whatever each member wants without sacrificing preferences. - TLC - We were greeted as soon as we walked in. One girl started the dough and sauce and the guy finished the toppings. They were super nice and efficient with the ordering process. - Noms & Sips - We all opted for a Build Your Own pizza with the kids sharing one. They were still able to put the toppings of their choice on their half. I appreciate that MOD lets you do that (most of the other places do too). I love to load mine with veggies and there is no limit. Considering it's a thin crust, it's pretty impressive that the crust holds the weight of my choices. Not sure if I have paid attention at the other pie places, but at MOD, when you go to pick up your pizza, they ask you if you want a sauce/glaze to finish it off. Since Hot Honey has been all the rage in 2021, it caught my eye. I asked for a very light drizzle, but shoot, I wish I would have let him do his thing! That hot honey was surprisingly good! They have the regular self serve soda station but had some other options like teas and lemonades. I mixed the Blackberry Lemonade with the Sweet Tea and I thought it was great! - Vibe - Love their positive message and vibrant colors in the shop. They have an outdoor patio and indoor seating includes booth seats. There are fun murals everywhere, a bottle cap montage with logo, a collage of pics of what I am assuming is MOD employees and an art mural of hands making a heart shape. Overall, great place to get a pizza the way you want it and try that Hot Honey! Stay safe, Friends!

Cauliflower crust with plant based sausage, mushrooms, whole garlic, arugula, and balsamic fig glaze

So the reason why I decided to come here today is because I heard they make cauliflower crust pizza. There are not many pizza places that make cauliflower crust pizza so I of course went on Yelp to find out more. I saw that they have specials when you buy online and pick up so I took advantage of this. I ordered (3) build your own 11" pizzas. They each came with a 20oz soda. I also signed up for promotions, only because I wanted a fee no name cake. I chose chocolate. My order was ready when I got there. Hubby and the little one loved their pizzas. They had regular crusts with red sauce. I was the one who ordered cauliflower crust and it was delicious! I ordered red sauce with garlic, mozzarella, parmesan, and asiago cheese. My toppings were plant based sausage, arugula, mushrooms, roasted garlic, and their fig balsamic glaze. This was delicious! Oh, and their chocolate no name cake?....this was amazing! Again, I got this free of charge for signing up. I suggest you do the same! I'll definitely be coming back here real soon!

Cauliflower crust, vegan pizza. The best place for vegan. I love the nondairy cheese and plant based meet.

The best time to go is before 6:00 pm, after that you can expect a line. Great location. I have dietary restrictions and they met them all.

We stopped here needing a quick idea for dinner with the kids. This place is great because it's reasonably priced, everyone can design their pizza exactly how they like it and everyone is happy. Their ingredients are fresh and they have a good selection of pizza options. You pick the thickness of your crust, type of sauce, toppings and seasoning. They also have ideas for pizza creations if you are not quiet sure what to put on your pizza. The crust is thin and pizza bakes quickly. They have fountain drink options, fresh lemonade/ice tea, beer and wine beverages. I think their lemonade it definitely worth a try. They have a dessert which they called no name cake, they always have a chocolate no name cake, today they had a seasonal selection which was key lime pie no name cake, it was tasty. Their pizzas come out pretty quickly, so it a good place to order on the spot and take to go, they also have delivery service. Great family friendly restaurant.

    Garlic

I'm not sure who in their right mind puts THIRTY-TWO whole cloves of garlic on a pizza. No it was not requested, and it was a pickup order. I know this has potential to be an entry level job, but come on guys. The pizza was undercooked and doughy in the middle and regardless of that even after picking all the garlic off that was the only taste. Honestly, the cut typically doesn't matter but it's the icing on the cake in this scenario.

My family and I went to MOD on a Sunday late afternoon, around 430. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the staff. It wasn't super busy, only 3 people ahead of us. As with most restaurants they are understaffed, there was a note on the door indicating as such. The manager was helping the staff getting things going, with making/rolling dough, getting orders started. Good teamwork and good for customer satisfaction. You can order from the menu board OR you can "mod"ify a pizza to however you want it! I had the Caspian, which is chicken with barbecue sauce. My little one had the Maddy- cheese pizza and my husband created his own: spicy marinara sauce with various toppings- and drizzle of Sri-rancha sauce. We also had the cheesy garlic bread to share. The line moved quickly, the food came out fast. Everything was delicious!! (As always) I always get the lemonade, it's really good. Personally I usually add a splash of the Marionberry lemonade to the regular lemonade- delish!!! I've never had a bad meal or bad experience at any MOD location. (Seriously love their salads and the cakes too!!) I asked for extra ranch for my little one, and the staff was happy to help.

I took a chance trying this place out based on my 12 year old daughter recommendation. I have now dined at this restaurant twice and I am more than a fan... I love MOD Pizza!! I love the thinness and fresh ingredients. Now on my first visit, by time we reached the counter to place our order we were told, "we are currently out of dough, we only have two mini's left" - How so?? Someone clearly dropped the ball. But the restaurant has been opened all day... craziness. It was our first time, so minis were good for us anyway. After about 10 minutes or less... our to go was all set. I was hungry and decided to take a bite in the car... so yummy!!!! A few weeks after, I introduced my fiance to this spot... he loves it also! You can call in your order, dine in or outside, or order to go (walk in). I recommend you give this place a try. If pizza isn't your choice, other options are available. Parking is out front, but it is shared with other restaurants nearby: Duck Donuts and Mission BBQ. Have fun and enjoy life :)

Only order in person never for delivery. Delicious for dine in. Thus the 3 stars. Abysmal by delivery. Who pools drizzle sauce like this & why whole nearly raw garlic cloves? Also this normally well balanced pizza gave sausage 80% of the real-estate not a spinach or basil leaf insight. Pizza also included pepperoni and Canadian bacon. Will only order in person from here on out.

I love the selection of sauces, they really make the meal! The only negative thing about this restaurant is every time my husband gets a sandwich that comes out piping hot and my chicken tenders come out barely lukewarm. So much so we've once asked for replacements, which the staff was so great and accommodating. Very chill vibe, clean tables, and they're always playing great music. We always dine in when we stop by. We easily found a nice table outside and ordered quickly - my husband chose a Chicken Slider, I had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and we ordered my baby girl a kid's meal of grilled cheese. I was impressed with the size of her kid's meal - it came with a decent-sized sandwich, huge portion of fries, a small kid's soda and a small custard. It was actually a pretty significant portion and my husband loved helping her finish it. Ha. I really enjoyed my husband's slider and the salads on the menu looked delish. My Nashville hot chicken sandwich was good, but a bit too hot for me, I did think the chicken was delicious. Hubs and I were both impressed with the quality and will happily come back again next time we're on this side of town. Used the restroom to change my daughter and they have a diaper changing station in the bathroom (a must for me now).

My visits to the Raising Cane's Chesapeake location were two different experiences. The first was…read morea solid 5. The second was rounded up to 4. The food was equally good both times. I chose the Chicken Tenders Box Combo both visits. It consists of 4 large pieces of tender juicy chicken & true Deep South Cole Slaw prepared with a light sauce, just like I grew up with. Also included were Crinkle Cut French Fries & awesome Texas Toast. I opted out of their Special Sauce, which I am told is delicious by those who like dipping Chicken Fingers. Lemonade, which is really good, was my drink choice. Perhaps the difference in the visits has to do with time of day. The first visit was mid afternoon, having had a doctor's appointment in close proximity. The personnel were friendly & welcoming. What must have been the manager told us we should come back the next week, on their First Anniversary. We decided to support the restaurant on their Anniversary, meeting friends who lived in Chesapeake. The drive from the Shore Dr corridor to Greenbrier at rush hour was much longer than anticipated. So it was in the midst of the dinner hour when we arrived. The restaurant was extremely busy. The staffing seemed similar to our mid afternoon visit, which wasn't quite adequate to handle the dinner hour level of business. It wasn't an Anniversary crowd. My Chesapeake friends indicated that the restaurant was always that busy. The food tray came so quickly that I was still talking to one of their pleasant personnel, maybe a manager. Although we were able to order quickly, very soon there was a long line snaking past our table towards the back of the store. I was shocked when we left the restaurant at the extremely long line of cars waiting to go through the drive thru. The parking lot of the restaurant didn't come close to containing it. Told that it was always like this, I understood that the staff must be struggling to handle that many customers at one time. One big complaint on my second visit is that one of their 2 unisex, spacious bathrooms was completely out of toilet paper & paper towels. The soap dispenser had the front taken off, obviously by a patron trying to find soap. The inside replaceable plastic bag of soap refills had been squeezed, obviously in an attempt to get the last of the soap remaining. I planned to tell an employee the state of that bathroom but they were so busy that I decided to just return to my table. Obviously this was a good location choice for a Raising Cane's. But I do think they should increase their staffing level during the busy dinner hours. The location was filled with framed Chesapeake History. It was fun to walk around and see the articles & pictures. One was even a page from the 1955 Oscar Smith High School Yearbook. I'll return to this location both for takeout after a doctor appointment or to meet my Chesapeake friends. But I'll definitely leave earlier or take a different route. And I look forward to the opening of their planned Lynnhaven location.

Service was pleasant and the one gentleman seemed to be hustling bringing out people's food to their tables or calling out their numbers. The lady at the register kept the line moving. It wasn't busy when we initially ordered, but then there was an influx of customers out of nowhere! Initially I thought the price was kind of steep for 6 pieces of chicken but then I saw the size and they are huge! I added a side of fries and a drink and it came to a total of $17 and some change. If you dine in there are free refills. One of my friends came back to our table with a mini cup of ice cream. Apparently they have a freezer of ice cream and popsicles that are complimentary! So that was a nice added touch! They offer military discounts! Just show your ID! I asked. Not too soon after, I heard a gentleman that had purchased food prior to me comment out loud that he wish he knew that earlier. I just always try to ask wherever I go, the worst they can say is no. ‍ I don't go to Chesapeake often, but if i'm ever out this way, I would definitely stop by again. The entrance is a bit confusing when driving up. While it faces the main street of Battlefield Blvd you have to turn at the traffic light and go behind another building that's adjacent to it, just make sure you don't overshoot and miss the turn. This place seemed to have a lot of not so great reviews or were a mixed bag, but I figured it was at the point of I'm just going to figure this out myself and experience it. I'm glad I did.
