The fish and chips arrived with a good portion chips and a moderately sized piece of well fried fish. The fish was very fresh and flaky and the breading was very light so it didn't over power the fish. We had a pleasant meal with two great servers, a manager that wouldn't give up on finding us a table and great music (acoustic guitar) to keep us enter. The chowder was packed full of fish including hake and salmon. It's a bit thinner than American chowders but made with local cream and no potatoes. It's a hearty bowl packed with seafood and no fillers. The oysters are Kelly Gigas, and many connoisseurs claim the west coast of Ireland produces the best oysters in the world. It was €36 per dozen and they were indeed excellent. The Fillet of Hake, Grilled and served with sweet potato puree, green vegetables and a coconut ginger, chilli and coriander sauce. This was outstanding. The house made Irish brown bread with softened butter was the best we've had so far.

The fish was decent, unfortunately like all other places, it was not seasoned. The fish came out fast. The fish are fried in advance and placed under the warmer, but they don't sit around too long as turnaround is quick. Inside, you have two dining area to your left and right, nothing fancy and some dining tables outside by the main door. I do appreciate that you can choose different fish types for your fish and chips. They need to do better job of cleaning the tables, didn't really see anyone taking care of the dining tables during our visit.
