We called; the chair was at our home within two hours. Free delivery. I needed to extend the period we needed the chair. Called Ms. Celeste up, no problem, call us when you're ready for it to be picked up. I cannot stress enough what a wonderful company Hudson's Wheelchair Rentals and Ms. Celeste are. I highly recommend this company.

Smocking Arts Guild of America. I tried two other places but they were not in the area I needed. Ms. Celeste relieved my fears right off the bat. Her soft soothing calm voice confirmed I had dialed the right location for delivery of two scooters to the Hotel we will be staying at for a week. Ms. Celeste talked with me for some time explaining how things will be handled on their end. She had a coupon available to give me a discount And that helped so much. I did not have the money available the day I ordered it but she said I could pay anytime as long as it was before October 12 ... the day of delivery. I called today October 3 with my payment information and once again Ms. Celeste's kindness was evident even over the phone. She remembered me and my order. If you need a scooter or a wheel chair to rent ... I highly recommend Hudson's Wheelchair rentals. Thank you.

I did not have it removed after his death because it has helped me carry the laundry and Christmas decorations up and down the stairs since then. I do not need it for mobility issues. After four years it started making a squealing noise so I called Area Access to schedule a service call. Wow, what an eye opener that was! First I asked approximately how much a service/maintenance call would be and was told $240 for the first 30 mins and $45 for every 15 min interval thereafter. Are you kidding! It takes the repair man 30 mins to get his equipment out of the truck and set up before even diagnosing the problem. Then the girl tells me that they have a new policy where before they'll schedule service they want your credit card info to keep on file. That was the deal breaker for me. First, I was probably looking at a minimum of $500 to diagnose the problem and then have to pay for whatever parts it needed (at $45 every 15 mins). Then Area Access employees have access to my credit card info which will be kept in their files. Does Area Access vet their employees? If so to what extent? Bottom line, if we had known that this lift was a Norwegian patented product so nobody other than Area Access can provide service on it, plus what their service call rates were, we would've made a completely different decision. Since I don't need the lift for my mobility it's cheaper for me to have it removed rather than pay to have it annually service, which is what is recommended. If I had done that I would've paid for what it originally cost by now. Anyone planning on buying one of these lifts, look into the maintenance costs. It is hideous what this company charges people for annual maintenance on this equipment. People who are probably living on a fixed income but need this lift to stay in their homes.
