This store has a good variety of durable medical supplies, orthopedic and diabetic shoes, braces, walkers, wheelchairs, scooters and more! The owner was on site when we went in to check things out and we loved how attentive and genuine he was in helping us learn about the store and their services. Parking is available in the front lot, or around back of the store. There are two wheelchair accessible spots out front. The store is open, bright and very clean, with room to easily maneuver a wheelchair. Items are clearly marked and the staff are kind, patient and willing to assist. They make the process of selecting diabetic shoes so much easier because they take care of all the paperwork with your doctor and your insurance company, and they are the only store of its kind who travel to clients anywhere in South Carolina! You also have the option to go in and buy items out of pocket if you choose, at reasonable rates. This location is conveniently situated accross from the hospital and next to a medical clinic.

He was friendly and courteous and had a great sense of humor. He took his time with my dad. Explained everything he needed to know about diabetic shoes and fitted him perfectly. He quoted us 4-5 weeks before they would be in. A week later, he called me and said they were there! He also made the trip to our home to bring them to us! I enjoyed the rime he took with us and made us feel important. We will be using 97 Cares for all our medical equipment needs.

I called Mobility Center because of the quote from the CEO/Owner on the website stating that "with over 20 years experience in the Home Medical Equipment industry, I can help you navigate the path from getting the necessary documentation from your physician to choosing the right equipment to insurance/medicare billing and/or financing, and finally getting you going again ... Fast!!!." Well, that did NOT GO WELL!!!! I was told immediately that they do not accept Medicare, although it states it on the website. So, I let the woman who answered the phone know exactly what the website said and what the Owner had written. She put me on hold and Mitch, the owner, got on the phone. He was extremely rude, told me it was a case by case basis..HUH?!?!? I found him extremely insulting. He also asked where I found the information I was reading to him, that he had apparently written himself a while ago, and didn't remember. He tried to talk in circles about what "navigate through physicians and Medicare/Billing" means. I may be disabled, but I am not an idiot! He finally said he could not help me! More like WOULD NOT help me. Why do people get into this business if they aren't in it to help people?!? He made me feel horrible. After he said he couldn't help me, I asked if he knew anyone that could, and he said no! How is this even remotely ok?!?!?!? The thing is, it's NOT OKAY! This is why I am leaving this review; I don't want anyone else to have to be treated this way! I called someone I know in Virginia, where we moved from, and he is amazing!!! I let him know what happened and he was so incredible! He called me back with an actual reputable place. It is in Wilmington, NC but I am so ok with that! I would rather my husband drive me farther and be treated with kindness and compassion, than deal with this place. (not that I have a choice, unless I want to go get a wheelchair off their showroom floor) I need a wheelchair fitted for me! The website says they are BOC accredited, meaning they are helpful with Medicare and those things....Well, I strongly beg to differ. I would not recommend this place if you are actually disabled and have medicare for your mobility aids. I would also give this place a negative, if I could. Simple kindness goes a long way!
