The owner George was very nice and easy to work with, and to their credit they addressed an issue with the install. That said, the initial installation of my $1,000 bed cover felt rushed given the hourly labor cost. The fitment wasn't quite right at first and one side of the seal was pinched. I also noticed an impact was used on the rails, which are known to be sensitive to over-torque and can crack easily. While the pinched seal was corrected, I would have preferred more care taken from the start. I don't think they do bad work, but the shop's pace is faster than I personally prefer. For future work, I'd likely look for a shop that prioritizes a bit more attention to detail. read more

I've how'd work done here quite a few times over the years, and I've never had any issues. I like this shop because you can do everything to your vehicle under One roof. Window tint, car stereos, wheel and tires, rhino line truck beds, suspension lift and lowering kits... With window tint, you can ask 10 different people their opinion and you'll get 10 different shops to go to. I've never had any issues with the quality of the film they use at this shop, as well as the way they install it. Never any crooked or jagged edges, no lint under the film, and after years of being in the sun and it holds its color like it was new. I've had quite a few stereos installed in different vehicles over the years here. When speaking with George, he breaks everything down that you're going to need that fits within your budget. There's no hidden fees or any or questions with any fitment issues. I had George and his team install a new stereo and spray in bed liner for my 2006 dodge ram 2500. when I was doing the walk thru of the finished product, I immediately noticed the prideful workmanship that went into the project! These guys are a joke. Go across to street to Lombards if you want quality service. My experience: Made an appointment to get my Tundra's stereo replaced, showed up at the time of the appointment and the guy at the counter was surprised that their tech hadn't contacted me to discuss what stereo options I wanted. He assured me that at some point that day the tech would call before he started the install. He never called. Dropped the truck off at 9am (they said it shouldn't take more than a day) and when I called around 4pm to see what time it would be complete, they said to come in at 5/5:30pm. I show up at 5pm and end up waiting until 6pm, only for them to tell me that they're having trouble getting all the components to work and that they would need to have me come back tomorrow, but assured me that they ordered the part from a sister location and that it shouldn't take more than 30min to complete the job. I was fine with this, things happen. I bring the truck back in the following day (today). I drop it off, asking one more time that it will only be 30min, they said yep. I wait for 40min and come back only to be told that its taking a little longer but they are trying out a few more things. Its now past an hour and they come in and say that in order to get the stereo to work they would need to rewire my amp (or something like that), and they ask if I could bring it in A THIRD TIME. No, Im not bringing it in a THIRD time when you have, from the start, overpromised and under-delivered. They're not bad people and I don't think they were lying, but the level of service is just awful. They did install a backup cam, which I paid them for, but upon arriving at Lombards, I found that they also left drill bits in the back. Its laughable how horrible their customer service is. Things happen - just make it right with your customers. Lost a half a day of work dealing with this mess. I called Lombards and was immediately 1000x more confident in their ability to assess and diagnose the situation and within 30min of being in their shop they had a game plan, written quote (Mobileworks never wrote out a quote/had me sign anything...be careful working with these guys) and also options for me to choose from. Night and day experience with Lombards. Going from there on. Beware of this shop. read more

I was in Pismo for vacation for a week and 3 days in my alarm remote stopped working. Couldn't figure out how to kill the alarm so dealing with the alarm sound when I initially opened was a total pain in the ass and putting a big damper on our vacation. I looked this place up and went over to ask if they could help. The guy behind the counter (didn't catch a name) was beyond helpful and instantly killed the alarm and then took apart the remote to look further. After helping me out w all this, I asked how much I owed him and he said "nothing". These guys are awesome. I took our brand-new Tesla Model X to get paint protection film applied to the mirrors, fenders, hood, and front bumper. It looks like I didn't even have it applied, until you look at seems at the panels. Jack was super nice and answered all my questions prior to the installation. I cant begin to explain how happy I was with Mobileworks, I recieved a new stereo for Christmas and contacted George the very next day with a request I figured would be turned down; Install my stereo the same day, first thing in the morning, and with in two hours as I was leaving to go down south to visit family. Just got my Viper alarm installed. I called around to several shops to get estimates and to just get a feel for the installer. Some places (local to me in LPC) gave me outrageous quotes, and some would only install items purchased from their shop. Mobileworks was the best fit. George was an amazingly nice guy. He had no problem installing a setup that I purchased elsewhere--there aren't too many places willing to do this--and gave me an incredible quote to boot. I based my decision to go with his shop based on three things: his recognition as a mobile installer award-winner, his great attitude, his willingness to meet my needs, and the quote I received from him. Also, it must be said that he never deviated from that quote. Word of advice: Never rush your installer. I dropped my vehicle off early Saturday morning and picked it up Sunday afternoon. After talking to George, he stated that he worked on my install until 8PM Saturday evening, and came in early Sunday morning to button it up. Overall, I estimate he put close to 14 hours of work into my car, and made sure it was done right the first time. I felt a bit guilty at how little he charged knowing how much time he put into it. Also, he told me he was glad that I allowed him to keep the car overnight so that he wouldn't be rushed. The next day, I went to pick up my truck. I checked the install and noted that nothing looked out of place; you couldn't even tell the vehicle was worked on. Before departing, George enthusiastically showed me how to operate my alarm system, and even showed me where all of the modules were placed in my vehicle. Also, he told me that if I ever had issues or needed to adjust the sensitivity of the alarm, just stop by. How's that for customer service? To summarize: Mobileworks has great customer service, they take great pride in their work, their prices are more than fair (no bait-and-switch), and their work is top notch. One last thought: My friend went to George to talk about getting his alarm installed. Their conversation ended with my buddy claiming he would install the alarm himself. George actually gave my friend advice on his alarm install and even printed out electrical wiring diagrams for him to take home. That is pretty selfless if you ask me. read more
