Zero stars if I could. They have poor quality control. They don't keep you updated on the progress of the car and when you do call no one knows what they are doing. They say one moment each time. I dropped it off for a bumper repair and when I went to pick it up, my whole car had over spray all over it. The issue was only on my back corner bumper and now my entire car is an issue. They said they don't know what happened... seriously??!?! I went to pick up for the second time and it was still the same, had to return to drop off again and they said it would be done by the end of the day and I had to call them and for them to tell me they got most of it off. Seriously?!?!? I have been out of a car and they can't fix the problem. Now that it is Mainline with Kraizen its not the same reputable service. Im so over this place. read more

Obviously the goal is to never visit this company, but whaddya do? I was referred to Mainline by USAA, and checked Yelp before I made a decision. The reviews looked very good, so I made an appointment for a Friday afternoon. My plans changed that day, so I called and asked if I could come in just after opening. They said no problem, and within 15 minutes of showing up, they had started a file on my car, began insurance proceedings, inspected the car, and offered me a tour of their facilities! Wow. I was expecting a polite, "We can try to get you in for the work in about two weeks . . .", but instead, they said, "We'll take your keys now and get started on it this morning." Again, wow. The front office arranged an Uber ride (on the house), and I was back home 45 mins after my arrival. Over the next 12 days, I received daily text updates on the status of my vehicle, and they finished a day ahead of schedule. When I arrived to get my car, my paperwork was ready for review, I received a point-by-point inspection of the work, and my car was cleaned and vacuumed. The body work and paint job? Excellent. I brought my 1999 Toyota 4Runner to Mainline to get the entire front end painted and headlights replaced (less the front quarter panels) on 6/16/20. Four days later is was finished 6/19/20. They did a perfect job on my truck which I bought new in 99'. I'm a quality Control Inspector and VERY picky when it comes to work done on my truck. I could not asked for a better job. The facility is very clean, the staff friendly and professional. Over the 20 years I've owned my runner, there are only 3 places that did a perfect job the first time: Toyworx in Grover Beach, Ca. My first impression when pulling up in the driveway was wow this is an Autobody place, it's really nice. Walked into the reception area and was greeted with a nice hello how can I help you. I had a horrendous experience with Mainline when i lived in the area. My truck was hit while parked in front of my house and my insurance suggested Mainline. I was young and unfortunately i trusted them. Without getting into to much detail, they absolutely botched the repair of my truck. I took it back a few times with no luck. I ended up having to take it to another shop and they laughed at Mainlines "repairs". This happened some years ago so maybe they're better now. I'm still bothered by they way i was treated, so i felt it was necessary to give them 1 star. I had a repair to my 2017 Cadillac CTS. I took into 2 other body shops for estimates before going to Mainline. Spoke with Bernie Flamm and explained what I would like to see done as far as repairs. He listened and came up with a repair plan that worked for me. Scheduled repairs, they reserved a loaner car. My car went in on Tuesday and completed by Wednesday. I picked up car, Bernie went over the repairs. They had detailed it and I was more than pleased with the overall service, professionalism and expertise put into the repairs. Joe Hinkens had given me a grand tour of the shop initially and to say they are State of The Art is a understatement! Curtis Schwartz was another person who made this repair so easy and made sure all was completed as promised. The staff was more than helpful and pleasant to deal with. Friendly staff and good people to communicate with. However the reason for the two stars is due to strict Corporate rules. They kept my car for two weeks, which was expected and I was told ahead of time. They communicated very well with the update and status of your car. However the shop and my insurance company (Progresive) had some miscommunication which caused a two day delay in them releasing my car. The insurance company paid out over $9,000 in repair work and they held my car hostage until a mere $310 dollars was paid. I was told I could write a check for that amount and they would hold it until they received the remainder of the money from the insurance so they could release the car. Shame on both of the company's for holding someone's vehicle for a squabble between them. Within the past 5 years I have brought my vehicles here to be repaired. I know I have probably spent over $25,000 in repairs here within those years. I will not be bringing my vehicles here anymore due to this ridiculous policy corporate has. Over $25,000 vs $310. Which one would you take??! Shame shame shame. I would recommend talking vehicles for repair to your locally owned shops. Owners will work with you better vs corporate rules! read more

If I could give them a negative rating I would. I have never experienced such gross negligence in my life. Every time I called they said it would be 3 more days. It's a month later and I still don't have the windshield for my car! A windshield, pretty basic. It came in BUT the didn't order the parts that they needed to install it. I called at 4 and was told she'd call me back in 15 min. 24 hours later I had to call. I'm finally told my car has the windshield in and I can pick it up in 10 min. 35 minutes later they finally bring it around. I get in to leave....lights on my dash board are light up that weren't there before. Now it's been taken back. I can't with these people. I NEVER leave Yelp reviews but this is unprofessional and unacceptable. read more

Excellent customer service! I came in with a frustrating problem (not able to open my car door). I was given two options, one of which involved filing a claim, and was given a quote. I did not have $$ to get detailed body work done. So to allow me to get in and out of my car without climbing over through the passenger side, they were able to do a quick fix adjustment. If I could give them zero stars I would. Seriously I brought my car here because of the reviews. I should have just taking it somewhere else! I will never recommend this place! Who runs a brand new vehicle threw a car wash machine let alone a BLACK VEHICLE! Super disappointed it had so many scratches on it and it's more than obvious it was ran threw a car wash machine! I literally told them if you are going to run it in a car wash machine don't even bother washing my vehicle, but apparently people here are ignorant! Like i told Jason at this point I just want to get out of here! It wasn't Jason's fault at all I spoke to the front desk ladies but apparently they don't pass on messages! As well the scratches on my vehicle were more noticeable than what they fix! They were more worried about the scratches on my vehicle than what was fix. My car was parked on the side of the road and someone did a hit and run and tore off my back bumper and crushed/damaged other parts on the back. I worked with my insurance company, Mercury, who referred me to the ONLY body shop they work with: Mainline Autobody. Although, at first, I was a bit dismayed because I called and left a msg with Mainline to make an appt to get an estimate and no one called back. I then called and made an appt and the gal claimed she booked me and told me the estimate would be 30 mins. The next day, my BF took the car in and apparently the appt was lost and not in the books. Also, they wanted to keep my car to immediately get started on work which threw us off because we had to suddenly scramble to get a rental car. However, the positive point is that they took the car immediately. They promised repairs to be done by 07/11. Every couple of days, they would call and leave lengthy voicemails for me going over all the details of what stage the repairs were in, whether they were on schedule, and still giving me an update on when they believe I could get car back. It was much appreciated and I'm thankful that since I'm hard to reach by phone, they were considerate to leave the detailed message. They ended up getting the car done about 3 days earlier than they thought. They seemed to really put all efforts to getting it done as quickly as possible. The work itself was pristine. I have a more difficult to find paint that has sparkles in it (yes, girly... But I think pretty sexy! Lol) and they matched it perfectly. Great customer service, great work on making my car look brand new (the back half looks better than the front half does due to the front half paint having swirls from the drive thru car washes I lazily use). They also provide a lifetime guarantee on the work they did. I am their customer for life and I'm one of the hardest customers to please... Cause I criticize EVERYTHING! This shop does fabulous work. I had someone hit the side of my car and the other guys insurance was trying to get me to take it their repair shop. Not only did Mainline resolve that (CA states you get to pick where to get it repaired.), but got the other guys insurance to cover a rental car. The repair work was great. I couldn't tell that I had even been hit. Paint matched the rest of the car and they went over the work with you. They also kept you up to date on the progress of your vehicle as well. Worst paint job ever. Had to go three times and still didn't end up right. I ended up asking my insurance to approve me to go to another shop. They lied to me by trying to say they painted the whole rear bumper and they only touched it up. I went to CustomCraft and they showed me how it was an aftermarket bumper, how Mainline didn't replace all the broken parts and other dirty jobs they done. Person who did the quote was friendly, courteous, got out information process quickly, dealt with out insurance company, called us when the car was complete and the car was done ahead of schedule and the workmanship was flawless. P.S. a few days later we had an electric window motor go out so we called mainline and got the owner, knew exactly what part to order, told us to come in in 2 days and they installed the motor while we waited charging us only for the motor. read more

I have used Mainline twice for vehicle repairs. The first incident was required due to someone driving into my open door while pulling into a parking spot, and the work was covered by the other party's insurance. For the latest visit I paid the repair cost myself, due to my scraping my vehicle's bumper while removing a bbq. In both instances I was very satisfied with the workmanship and service. For my most recent visit, both Bernie and Curtis went above and beyond to assist me. What seemed like a fairly small scrape turned out to need a bit more attention. Mainline offered to attempt to cover it up with touch up paint which I supplied, but that did not really work well so I went ahead and had the entire bumper repainted. They gave me a great price, with the same great service to boot. My car was ready a bit earlier than expected which is always a good thing, plus it was even cleaner on the inside than when I left it! Mainline fixed my spoiler on my Honda Cross Tour . Honda wanted $549.00 dollars Mainline fixed it for $75.00 which Honda said I HAD TO BUY ANEW SPOILER! Mainline was able to fix the one I had,there was no damage to it.just needed some new clips,which is what I asked Honda to do and they refused.
