A few months later I got a quote from Armando on my large truck tires which was a little higher than expected, but when I checked at Costco, they couldn't get my tires for some reason, and didn't offer any options. Another tire shop I've used in the past was a little more money. So, I talked to Armando and told him I would like to go ahead and get the tires. Expecting to have to put money down and wait a week to get them, he tells me he'll order them that day and he'll let me know when they're in THE NEXT MORNING! I was so surprised! I asked about having to make a deposit and he said "not necessary, I'll let you know when they're in and we'll schedule an appointment. At noon the next day he called to tell me they were in and asked me when I wanted them installed. I said I was free the rest of the day and agreed to a 1:30 appt. Armando did a great job installing my tires and I was out of the shop in less than 40 mins! This has been my best tire shop experience in over 40 years! Sousa has my business for life. Lets get price out of the way, it is not bad on wheels, but not good; average on wheels in other…read morewords. Alignment is pricy especially if you do not buy tires, however here is where things get tricky with this place. If you do not buy tires, aligment is supposed to be 120 (this price should not include tax, but more on that in a bit), 90 if you buy minimum of 1 wheel in 2025. Again, this price should not be including tax as they did not indicate it does or does not, and most companies do not include tax on their advertised price unless they say otherwise, and services most of the time do not have tax as part of the listed price. Now to why this a 1 star location AND a place to avoid: We purchased 2 tires in October 2025 for 120 each (again without tax on price, this is important as it is part of the 1 star issue), and had the alignment service charged as well at the price of 90. In total with tax, we were charged 353.57; this means each wheel was charged 120, and with tax should have been about 130.50 per wheel (about 261 on wheels alone with tax). This leaves a balance of 92.57... which is 2.57 more than the 90 dollars they quoted... ok no issues so far if the service is taxed as well. I leave the car to get the tires installed and get alignment done, to which they tell me it will be done in a few hours. I come back later in the day expecting everything to be done and I get told that wheels were installed but alignment was not performed and did not bother telling me until I showed up... and they left me going WTF? They said they needed a specail part that was not available and needed to be ordered before alignment could be performed; and instead of asking me what I would like to do, they simply said they would refund me 90 dollars for the service that was not performed. I immediately told them that we needed the service and asked how long it would take for the part to arrive. They told me 2-3 days, and I asked them to not refund me that day as we need the service performed (we still do as of this writing). 2-3 days go by and nothing, no follow up calls, no updates, so I had to call and I was then told the part was delayed and they were told it would be pushed into next week but they could not provide an exact date as they were not provided a tracking number. Again, no communication on this and I had to reach out to get an update, but I wanted to get the service we paid for and told them ok we will continue waiting until the part arrives. We continue waiting until the following week and again NO UPDATE. So I called and they did not answer the phone. I called them 3 times per day throught 2 days and no replies or follow up. I then go into the shop in person to ask for an update and they tell me the part was cancelled a few days before I went in and they would refund me the money. I did not bring the card I used as I was not expecting that at all, so I left and came back the next day in the morning to get a refund. They wanted to give me 80 dollars back. I immediately told them that is wrong, and the person attending me called someone to confirm the refund amount, who specifically told them to give me 80 dollars (I heard this as well). The person attending then said sorry they said 80; I told him to hold on let me get the receipt, and unforuntately I had forgotten it at home, so I had to leave and come back in the evening after the work day. Their carbon copy receipt said 2 hand written things: Wheels x 2 Aligment No price line, no tax line. Stapled on top was the prined receipt for the credit card transaction of 353.57 I go into the shop in the evening asking to get my money back and again the person attending me said they could give 80 dollars back. I then got upset and got a little aggressive, but I told him 2 people had said 90 dollars, and if it was 80 then the price per wheel were higher than what we were told, so I asked which was it. He realized this and then said to me that price for aligment was all over the place and has seen people get quotes for 90, 80, 70, and even 50 in special situations. He finally refunded me 90 dollars and we left it at that. As mentioned before, at the start, based on total pricing, they did keep a little more, but at this stage we simply wanted out. We had decent service with them up until this point, but after this experience, we will no do business with them again.

I want to clarify that I did decline the alignment, but only because I had already been sitting there for well over two hours when I purchased the tires and simply could not wait any longer. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have experienced this type of treatment, particularly when it comes to services that are supposed to be free under the tire warranty. I have repeatedly watched other customers who arrived after me get taken care of while I continued waiting. Instead of sending me away, the team went the extra mile and was kind enough to borrow a compatible key from another customer's vehicle so they could remove my wheel. I truly appreciated the extra effort they made to help me. After inspecting the tire, they found two punctures side by side, making it unsafe to repair. They quickly located a matching pair of replacement tires, had them delivered the very next day, and installed them promptly. From start to finish, Stephen and everyone in the service shop were professional, friendly, honest, and efficient. They clearly explained why the tire couldn't be patched and never made me feel pressured. It's refreshing to find a business that genuinely puts safety and customer service first. For management's reference specificly, he was not wearing anything that identified him as an employee. His appearance was not the issue. There was no professional introduction, and the interaction felt disrespectful and unprofessional from the beginning. He seemed embarrassed that I was there waiting before he arrived, and it felt like his ego took over from that point forward. When he pulled up my appointment, nearly everything written in the notes was incorrect. By the end of the visit, he presented me with an estimate for more than $800 in supposed repairs. The amount seemed outrageous, and the entire situation made me feel like I was being taken advantage of. I declined the work, asked for my keys back, and paid more than $100 for the oil change they had already completed. I immediately drove across the street to SM Tire and asked them to inspect everything Big Brand Tire claimed was wrong. They checked my vehicle and after a multipoint inspection everything was fine. They rotated my tires, treated me with respect, and handled me like a valued customer. The difference between these two businesses was unbelievable. I left Big Brand Tire feeling frustrated, disrespected, and pressured into repairs I did not need. I left SM Tire feeling respected and confident that I had received an honest assessment.
