My child absolutely loves her and squeals every time her car pulls up. Jenna does such a great job of encouraging confidence in the water and it's amazing to see the progress they have made from waiting for an adult to get in the pool, safely navigating the edges, holding breath, and learning to swim on her own. Jenna is always on time, is incredible with kids, so patient, and it's been amazing to see my child's confidence grow each week.

Now on the other side of it all, I can't imagine having chosen any other path! Both Andrew and Andrea are both very knowledgeable and the program operates with very high integrity. They also both have plenty of real professional EMT/Paramedic experience that they are able to bring to the learning environment which is very valuable. This course is challenging, but that is exactly what I needed to get ready for the NREMT and feel prepared to start a career in EMS. There really are plenty of opportunities to succeed in the class too! The national registry tests from a very large textbook with a lot of information, and I was so grateful to be able to go into my NREMT test day with a fair amount of confidence having faced the material many times already.

Andrew and Andrea are both very supportive of their students so if you put in the time, you should have no trouble passing the NREMT.

We may believe that we are aces at preparing a martini, sidecar, or Blue Hawaiian until put on the spot in front of a fast-moving class (or a barroom full of patrons and impatient servers, for that matter). Steve and his crew know how to get to the point to ensure you are armed with the essential knowledge and skills. I have worked in and around bars for most of my life, mostly as a server or bar back. I would occasionally take the bartending shifts no one wanted because of lack of confidence. I stayed away from bartending classes because of negative attitudes I would hear from some bartenders, both in person and online. They would dismiss the validity of a class that teaches people what the "smarter" bartenders achieved on their own by winging it. Having now been back in the game for a year, and seeing how the class has improved my job performance, I can assure you that those attitudes are false. The naysayers are typically those who have gotten by without true accountability and are fine staying where they are without the means to advance or increase their tips. Whether you want to get into bartending cold, or are simply looking to fill in the gaps in your training, Bartending Academy will help you get your mind in shape for that desired job interview or the mixology knowhow to freelance anywhere!

Pip is located in the walking-only community so car parking is way off to the side of the apartment/shopping complex. The space is in a large corner studio and there is a cute little area with some pottery and art goods for purchase. Unlike the Pip and Clay in Phoenix, this one does not have a coffee shop inside of it. I took a class while a wheel-throwing class was happening and since there is no room divider it was a little hard to hear our instructor at first but that class finished as ours started. Overall, for the price ($55-$60 for 2.5 hours) I think you get a fun piece! This is my second Pip and Clay class and I certainly plan on taking more!
