We have some big/huge windows, and considered wood, vinyl, and fiberglass. We dove deep into the NRCAN ratings of window suppliers, and Fibertec checked off all the boxes (being a Canadian Company was a bonus). The windows all installed well and the house is warm and cozy with no condensation on the inside of these triple paned windows. Overall, these windows were an amazing choice and have held up well. Fibreglass (with glass in the name) expands and contracts at a similar rate to the glass panes themselves, so we do not regret our choice! At about the 13-to 14-year mark, we experienced some failures of the seals within approximately 60% of the windows. The first sign is frost between the panes (in the corners) on the coldest winter days (say -20C or lower). In another year, the low-E coating begins to break down, becoming patchy and noticeable. The initial 15-year warranty paid off, as Fibertech has a solid process in place for honouring their warranty and shipping new panes for replacement. The replacement panes are all built with super spacer technology, which is designed to prevent the problem of failing seals. We have new warranties on the new panes and are only 2 years in with no problems noted.

Our house is so much warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer! We use our furnace an air conditioners so much less. They were on the low end of the price range but top end on quality and service! The installation was quick, and clean! They look beautiful! We had a bit of a snag with an odd shaped window but they handled it appropriately for us! You can't get better quality at any price! HIGHLY a recommend them!!!

They got HALF of the order wrong!! (The other half was in one size). Crazy thing is that I sent them The measurements in cm and inches! And I'm not talking about mm or cm bigger, I mean INCHES bigger!! That's a huge difference!! And a huge inconvenience!! I don't understand why the SPECIFIC measurements I ordered came all wrong! And to top it off, there reps had asked me why I did not measure each piece before using them?? How does this question even make sense?? It was a specific measurement ordered.. I should not have to!! I gave them the chance to fix the order - I reached out several times- But In nooo way were they interested in fixing there mistakes. Customer Service ZERO!! Within less than one year from having a new front door installed by Dans, it's been nothing but problems . The wood around the striker broke shortly after install, I called them and they talk to you like you've never used a door before , they put all the blame on us for being too aggressive opening and closing the door and the project manager constantly had to leave multiple times for personal problems (which has nothing to do with the customer- we all have problems in life) ) - all this with a lifetime warranty on the door, which they point out when purchasing but they don't honour it. The hardware on the door never stays tight so every month I've have to re tighten all the hardware (which is absurd ) and they said they would try to fix the broken wood by the striker but they never return your call or show up - I'll be replacing this door before it's even 3 years old because I'm sick of the maintenance required to just keep it operational . Worst customer service I've ever had . Save your money and buy elsewhere. Buyer beware I only gave one star because I couldn't give zero stars

Rating: 1 Star (Zero if possible) Title: Extremely…read moreDisappointed - Poor Installation and No Warranty Support I was originally going to give Ecotech Windows 3 stars, but after how they handled my recent issues, I would give them zero stars if I could. During the installation, the crew was incredibly careless and damaged the plants in the front of my house. I understand that accidents happen, but the installers didn't even try to be careful or have the basic courtesy to report the damage to me before they left. Additionally, I was shocked to find out that my new backyard sliding door is noticeably smaller than the original one. I was never once informed during the sales process or prior to installation that there would be a reduction in size. To make matters worse, the hardware quality is highly questionable. Less than three weeks after installation, the door handle/flush mount pull broke off under completely normal daily use. When I contacted customer service to report the broken hardware, I fully expected it to be covered. Instead, they told me I had to pay $40 for a replacement part. I just spent thousands of dollars on these windows and doors, and they are nickel-and-diming me over a defective handle that didn't even last a month. You can always tell the true quality of a company by how they stand behind their products and honor their warranty when something goes wrong. In this case, Ecotech completely failed to do either. A word of warning to future buyers: just be careful of those "too good to be true" reviews. Research the company wisely--look into not just the windows themselves, but most importantly, how they actually handle their warranty. Don't just rely on the smooth sales pitch from the salesman. Be sure to check Yelp for more honest reviews before making your decision. Highly disappointing experience. I cannot recommend them.
