We limped in to another shop and they said our trailer axle was bad and needed 4-5 weeks to order parts and make repairs. Yikes! On a Friday, we took our 2012 Lance travel trailer to Jason at JTC Performance Automotive and he said he thought he could make the repairs by Tuesday (3 business days). He did! He replaced broken and old parts on all four wheels, and got us back on the road. No wait! The guy we met (I think he was Ken) was extremely friendly, soft spoken, and was an excellent listener. He understood what was going wrong with my truck (burning smells going uphill, and a leaky rear diff) and he took us in the shop, showed us the underside of the truck, and talked to my friend and I about what could be going on. He was very honest, and helped me understand what was going on down there, which I really appreciated since I'm kind of a mechanically minded person. I trust his judgement. All we needed was some rear diff fluid. A cheap repair and we were back on the road. I highly recommend this repair shop.

After calling around and finding out that the VW glass would be tough to find, I called California Auto Image. They gave me an estmated range over the phine and asked i bring it down for a firm quote. Not only was the quote less than expected but they were able to source the glass and have it with-in 2 days. 2 days later, I took the car back. 90 minutes later, job done, all broken glass gone and the car was back in good shape. The last time this happened it took 4 days to get the same glass when it happened to me in the central valley. When we called on Friday, we were told to call back Saturday after 10 AM - Maybe they would help. We did call back. After realizing how limited our options were (I'm sure the shop knew this as well) we were told the fee would be $1600 to tow us 46 miles to Crescent City. I believe "extortion" is the appropriate term for this. The driver was very competent and nice enough, but the owner should be ashamed for taking advantage in this way.
