Dr R is as compassionate as it comes - takes as much time as you or he needs to assure complete understanding and satisfaction.

Chippens has always been good to my family and more importantly, my pets…read more We have been clients of over 10 years and have seen multiple doctors in their practice in our time there, happily stayed with them through Covid which was a challenging time for all. Our experience is always pleasant, the practice is clean and well kept, our appointments are booked easily and within reasonable time AND they do a great job of handling our fur babies. We find their prices and cost to be very reasonable as they meet the level and quality care this practice has provided to us. Last year we lost two of our babies and that was an incredibly hard time in our lives. Dr.Elliot met us with such compassion when it was needed most. We are forever grateful. As we have welcomed new furfamily members to our family this year, Dr. Guhn Knight and Dr. Fratamico have been providing such wonderful care to us on our new endeavor. We have told many others about the quality care we receive here and hope you'll consider giving them a try if looking for the best care for your pet.

Absolutely dissatisfied with my experience with Dr Elliot at chippens hill vet. Not only was I…read morecompletely blind sided by the cost but not a single one of my concerns were addressed. I was not given a quote or told the cost of the exam & chiropractic adjustment until after both were completed which cost $278 alone. I did email my concerns about this with the manager to which she agreed that her staff failed at providing an estimate which was against their protocol. I requested a thyroid panel when scheduling my appointment but was never told to fast my dog, so after leaving the office (& paying $300+ for said test) I was informed that the sample wasn't adequate since he wasn't fasted therefore I would have to come back later that week to get another sample. My other main concern was my dog's recent onset raspy breathing, which the doctor barely spoke to me about & said it was laryngeal paralysis (even tho I knew it wasn't due to his symptoms & history but she wasn't receptive to hearing it). As he laid on his side in the exam room I informed her that it gets worse when laying down to which she said "that is really difficult to listen to." So I asked if it were LP what could be done for my almost 13yr old dog who has cancer to which she solely suggested surgery... offering no other supportive care. I ended up asking for a refund for the thyroid panel as I didn't plan on coming back & went to an urgent care vet who treated his breathing after thoroughly going over his symptoms & history (it was not LP). I then scheduled with another integrative vet in the area to establish a relationship and continue his chiropractic care but asked the manager for a possible partial refund for the exam (which was $150) since I was not satisfied & did not feel comfortable continuing care with Dr Elliot. She refused to offer any sort of refund stating that the doctor had offered her expertise & not everyone is a good fit for one another so she respected me seeking care elsewhere. However, I don't feel that I received any expertise unfortunately as none of my concerns were addressed. This was an extremely expensive trial & error process that has set me back with my dog's care since I now have to pay for another new patient exam at a different office. Now I understand why their office has such open availability...

I have 5 animals ranging in age from 15 to 6 months. So I visit VCA often. I have been to other…read morevet's in the area and by far VCA is the best. The staff is the most friendly group of people you could ever meet. They take the time to talk to you are very kind and reassuring is times of crisis. I adopted a kitten who ended up losing an eye due to an infection, I was frantic. They were there with me through thick and thin plus they calmed me down so often, I can't even count it on my hands and toes. It was a touch and go situation and Olive Oyl I feel she never had made it through as well as she did if they weren't there taking the best care of her. The staff are also sweet, friendly and courteous when you visit for a well visit or when one of my animals is not feeling well. They have never, let me reiterate NEVER tried to sell me any extra services. The vet's skills and knowledge of animals far are superior to any vet I have ever seen. They are smart, skilled individuals. Plus I really like them as people. If you don't go to this vet you are missing out -

This is the worst experience I've ever had. This evil women refused to let me bring my cat in. My…read morecat had gotten bitten and it got infected, now he has an absess on his cheek and he's in so much pain. I am currently laid off and can barely make rent and they have a plan where for $50/mo you can bring your pet in for any reason. I should have known they were a garbage operation when they told me $50/mo then changed it to $55 then itz $60, all in the same appt, they just force me to take the $60 plan ot pay full price for the shots/exam. I ended up enrolling anywa, though I had little choice in the matter. And now that I need to bring him in they refuse to see him and told me I have to bring him to an animal ER and leave him there for a week. I told her I can't afford that and she basically said thats a me problem. I tried appealing to her sense of compassion and said that I would be forced to sit by and watch my cat die a slow, painfull death and she couldn't care less. How does such a hateful and uncaring human being become a vet? I wouldn't be surprised if I found out she couldn't make it as a real Dr and is now bitter as sin. I am now forced to give up my cat to the Bristol shelter so they can treat him and i just hope they find him a good home. I'm sorry, I'm like crying now and its hard to type w a phone screen that is slick w my tears. So now I have to go contemplate my lack of options. I know that in their eyes I'm just a broke loser but i guess poor ppl can't even have pets anymore. Sooo sad...I urge anyone that reads this to avoid the Bristol office like the plague. The other locations were great, but I still can't afford to get him treated. God bless you all! And may you never be turned away in your moment of need...
