I am new to the area, and they were the only vet that would see my sick dog as a new patient. They were awesome! Thorough, friendly, and very loving with my dog. Since seeing them, they have followed up each day to see how he is and discuss his condition in further detail. I will bring my other dog and cat to them when needed. I found a very very sick kitten on the side of the road and took it to the closest vet clinic which just happened to be, BURLINGTON VETERINARIAN, but they REFUSED to treat him unless they were paid UPFRONT!!!! The Doctors, Techs, Staff and Facilities are really top notch. I always feel comfortable bringing my animal in. Its a bit on the pricey side for veterinary care, but to me its worth it. Its kept clean and doesn't have that sterile veterinary hospital smell that most others have. I've had my puppies exams, spaying and emergency care here. Went to Dr E x cm for 3 years for two dogs and two cats. While I was away during my military service my wife had to bare the weight of one of my dog's cancer cases. The doctor could not be bothered or know what the emergency doctor in Canton performed for my dog. My wife went to the doctor for puss coming from the surgery seam. As my wife was distressed decided to say over the phone while my wife could hear, "her dog has cancer it is going to die anyway." I will not bring any more animals to this location. Thankfully I had some time with my dog after I returned. Also my wife spent 5hrs waiting for a response from the doctor which amounted to nothing but a $500 bill. Plus additional over priced issues. If you actually care for your animals go to Harwinton or Farmington. I live 2 min from the office and will not go back. read more

A beautiful, newly remodeled facility, always immaculately clean and fresh. We have been bringing our fur babies to Burlington Veterinary Center for almost 20 years. We've always adopted rescues, who often arrive with health issues. But Dr Eshrick, Dr.Trevino and all of the staff are always kind, caring and most importantly, diligent in resolving our dogs health problems. We recently lost our 16 1/2 year old Bichon Frise, Tigger, whom we loved dearly. I can't express how grateful we are for the kindness everyone showed him (and us) in his last days. read more

I have to say, having been in and out of the veterinary field for a number of years, and having been a pet owner most of my adult life, I am above and beyond impressed with the courtesy and professional staff at Burlington Veterinary Center. As someone who comes from the business, I tend to be a little more particular about the veterinary establishment I bring my pet to and I'm pleased to say Burlington Veterinary Center covers all the bases I require for top notch care for my cat! The girls in the front office are extremely friendly and the techs are excellent with pets. They made us feel right at home from the first visit. Comparing prices of veterinarians locally I would say this is on average price-wise, I do not find them overpriced compared with other local vets' offices. Drs. Esherick and Schupak bring experience, and a caring attitude to the practice and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Be assured if you bring your family fur baby to this veterinary hospital you will feel welcome, you will feel like they care about your pet as much as you do! Let me begin by stating that this is an incredible place! I have a new puppy that sustained an injury and needed an urgent evaluation. This was the ONLY place I called (out of the 20 something places) that took my information to contact me just in case they had an opening or cancellation. That's exactly what they did! I received a call that a slot had opened that they would not only be able to help my puppy but also complete his very first new puppy vet visit and vaccinations. My pup needed to have XRays and a splint placed for a little toe fracture. The staff at this clinic, including the Dr. Trevino, kept me updated t/o the entire process and sent me pictures of my pup while he was in the clinic. Everyone, and I mean every single person, was exceptionally professional and demonstrated legitimate concern for my pups well being. I had intentions to go to another facility for my pet care prior to, however I will be making this clinic my pets medical home. I highly recommend these guys. read more

Head veterinarian has some weird vendetta against specific vaccines. Refused to give me dog lepto and lyme vaccines in Connecticut of all places. Upon initial visit, he said he would administer those vaccines if I requested. I did make the request. Upon 3 weeks of going back and forth with his administrative office to schedule a time to bring my pet in for those additional vaccines, he calls me the day before saying he's no longer honoring his offer. He did this by leaving me a 2 minute condescending voicemail about how he's well-studied on vaccines. Honestly, if you don't want to administer normal annual vaccines, that's your choice as a business, but tell people upfront so they don't have to pay for the vet visit while not getting all the standard annual vaccinations they would expect. I now have to pay for a second vet visit elsewhere because of this situation. They're not upfront about it because they know most people will go somewhere else. If you're looking for a standard vet who will take good care of your pet with tried-and-true annual check-ups, look elsewhere. read more

I've been taking my cats here for about a decade. Dr. Escherick and Dr. Trevino are outstanding in their patience, knowledge, and love of animals. They are very supportive of the pets' parents, too. From the office managers to the vet techs to the surgical assistants to every one who works there, each person treats your animal as if it were their favorite. Two of my cats have had complicated disease processes that have required opposing treatments, but the doctors have managed to help me keep them as healthy as possible for a very long time. The prices are very fair, unlike some practices; the premises are pleasant, clean, and comfortable. In my experience, the doctors set the tone so that everyone goes above and beyond to help your pet stay healthy and help you feel at ease. I'm very grateful for Burlington Vet Center! read more

This place is ridiculous. Brought my dog in to be treated for interdigital cysts. They gave him an allergy shot at a 300% mark up. They put in an order for antibiotics that cost $330. That was in addition to the $500 visit. But that is what we do for our pets, right? Well, they totally take advantage of your love and compassion towards your animals. I called the vet the next day since my dog wasn't able to stand, his paw was swollen , he was lethargic and hadn't moved in 12 hours. They told me that (they would finally fix the Rx mistake from the previous day) and the doc was happy to provide pain meds, but they had no time to see him! Understandable that one of the docs was in surgery , but what about the other vet? They were "booked." Their suggestion: go to emergency vet. I called for an appointment on a Thursday morning, mind you. This place puts sales above care. We are NEVER going back. I would never trust them with an animal. But if you feel like getting hosed...be my guest. read more

The facility, but more importantly the staff, is top-notch! We've been taking our animals to the Burlington Veterinary Center for the past 15 years. What we like most is that the staff truly care about you and your pet, the depth of expertise provided, and the engrained willingness to go the extra mile. There are so many examples we could give, but I will focus on the most extraordinary. Not too long ago our dog was struck by a vehicle late in the day. Without a thought we rushed him to BVC. Immediately, two of the staff got to work on our pet, another took down details of what occurred, and yet another consoled my wife. Within minutes Dr. E. was on-site and Dr. Shupak was in scrubs. What occurred over the next few hours, days, weeks and months was truly remarkable, and is a testament of the commitment of this facility. Within minutes we met with Dr. E., reviewed X-rays and discussed options. Having that ability to make informed decisions, we decided to move forward. With two broken hind legs, one leg that was 90% degloved (do not look up the term unless you have a strong stomach) and a portion of the other leg completely void of both skin and tissue, the BVC team went to work, spending the next six-seven hours working on our pet. What they accomplished is nothing short of a miracle. After weeks of late-night bandage changes, one-off visits and extensive care and concern, we are delighted to say that our beloved pet is thriving. We can certainly attribute this to Team BVC's love of animals, superior training and well-equipped facility, however, it is our belief that it is the passion and purpose-drivenness of the team that made the difference (that and perhaps a little pixy dust). read more

Burlington veterinarian clinic is exceptional . My dog had major surgery and aftercare was critical. Dr. Esherick and the entire staff work as a professional team. The were caring, compassionate, highly skilled and knowledgeable . Shortly after the surgery I called the vet concerned my dog was experiencing pain and not sleeping. Dr. Esherick immediately asked me to bring Jake in. We spent several hours there. After a consultation it was decided to add pain medication and provide jake with laser treatment, message therapy and acupuncture. Dr. Schupak and the trained technicians joined us for the treatments. As a result jake began sleeping, was more relaxed and stopped exhibiting any major discomfort. I continued with the laser treatment to help with his healing. Dr. Esherick always made himself available, listened and called me at home to follow up and check on jake when he knew I was worried. Went to Dr Esherick for a second opinion/last chance on our seriously ill feline Gretchen. They treated us as if we had been valued customers for years and years. Although the prognosis is not great there is hope and Dr Esherick spent so much time with us explaining the findings and possible treatments that we felt bad as it was late on a Friday afternoon. He and his wonderful staff never seemed in a hurry, answered every question we had over and over again.
