Brian is now mobile, so convenient for those of us that live in rural areas! He no longer has the shop, and The business is now called Mobile Outdoor Power. Brian came out today to fix a ride-on mower, chainsaw, Weedwhacker and a push mower for my clients. He was incredibly fast with the repairs and very knowledgeable and even taught me how to better maintain the equipment. Super nice guy, thought it was sweet that he remembered my son and his father from when they used to go into the shop back in the day. Highly recommend Brian to all those that would rather fix their equipment than buy new. Thank you Brian, property maintenance is going to be so much easier now that all of the tools are working properly. read more

Thank you Chris! My husband and I came in over the weekend to buy his chainsaw. Chris was very helpful and knew the answers to the questions my husband had. You didn't have the saw he wanted in stock but we order it and it was in within three days. Chris was not only helpful but very honest with this thoughts and knowledge about the saws! Yes, when you walk in there doesn't seem to be many shelf items. But don't let that turn you away. Ask a question or two. Order your item. Chris your amazing customer service has made us a customer for life!! Hope nothing breaks and we don't have to come in soon but if we do I look forward to your funny sense of humor! read more

Mobile Outdoor Power - Not only was the hubby happy about his new chainsaw so was our son! - Outdoor Power Equipment Services Near Me

Excellent service from start to finish. After my riding mower's engine blew Brian walked me through all the available repair options and directed me to the best solution. His expert knowledge and experience produced a professional and efficient rebuild. He also saved me money by helping me track down less expensive parts online and advising me on some of the labor I could do myself. I will definitely be using him for all my future small engine needs. read more

Brian has serviced my Craftsman 54" Riding Mower a couple of times. I have got to say, he is extremely knowledgeable and very efficient when it comes to isolating problems. This last trip the mower would not even turn over. I had checked the battery and voltages but no luck with my troubleshooting. He went through the entire wiring harness and tracked down the problem. He also proved his integrity as a service person. Can't ask for more in someone when you're looking for them to fix your problem. read more

This place is OK one day and horrible the next. I have purchased several saws from them and as long as you are buying something over several hundred dollars their nice. Try to buy a part and you might as well have a disease. If your an old customer you will be fine if you want some lowly part you may want to go somewhere else. I tried to get my chain saw looked at and they said $$ upfront, cash no credit card no matter if you were a previous customer etc. It just depends on if Bill is having a good day or not. read more

Brian was on time, did an extremely efficient and competent job on my portable generator, gave me some great advice on how to prevent more problems and charged a very reasonable fee. All this at my home!!! read more

Neither I, nor my neighbor could start my Generac generator. We took it to these guys, and although the wait was a two weeks -everyone needs their generator working Now- I wasn't in a rush, so no problem. I received a call that it was ready on Dec 23, as promised, but was ill and could not pick it up. When I called the following Tuesday to tell them I couldn't get it until Thursday, and that it was unfortunate, because my power had just gone out, they insisted on delivering it to me at no charge. Not only that, but they returned most of my deposit, because it started for them, no repair was needed, and they charged only for the time it took to check it out. read more

I have used them in the past and they were great. Just called to see about getting my chainsaw tuned up and was told that it would be 3 weeks. The problem was not the 3 weeks but my problem was with the attitude of the person telling me that "ths is the way it is", that I "need to plan ahead" and given a sarcastic "WeeEEeell Good Luck!"(as though I won't find anyone else to work on it). I don't need the attitude. I find that usually you get a bad attitude, then you get a lack of attention to business detail i.e. websites, good ole boys lounging around in the store, then service quality drops and then poof!, they are gone. I used to work for a Chamber of Commerce where we had over a 1200 businesses as members. Ever single time I saw this pattern the businesses did not last. The appropriate action would have been for this company to "Plan ahead" and provide the proper level of service for the seasonal increase in volume. I doubt that I will ever go back 'cause I just don't need the attitude. read more

Came here to buy a new chainsaw. Their inventory was extremely depleted. What's worse nobody bothered to say hello or offer any help. Don't want to go to Home Depot, would rather do business with the local guy. read more

I bought a Stihl MS-260. Less than a year later the fuel line splits. All I got was attitude from these guys. Ya Stihl has plastic issues, blabla bla. $12 for a three inch piece of rubber hose. Now my 1.5 year old saw just had the oil line break. Getting ready to bend over. read more

Chris and his team are very friendly. As a woman I fear places like this, but they made my shopping experience fun! They are also big supporters of Kacie's Ride for Hope to End Domestic Violence. It's awesome that they support the community in this way! read more

This place is great. Incredible customer service. Chris knows his stuff when it comes to outdoor power tools. The thing I liked best is that there was a quality of salesman ship displayed by Chris. He put me on the right saw for my level of experience and showed me the ins and outs of its operations. This place came highly recommended by my neighbor and I am looking to do a lot more business with them in the future. read more

I've always had a fantastic experience with Camino Power Tool. They're much more pleasant than going to a big box store.

Placerville's Camino Outdoor Power has a sister Shop in Camino, CA. I bought a Stihl chain saw there (Camino store). From day one you'd pull the "start" cord fifty times and It wouldn't start. Since I paid over $400. for It, I figured they'd help me out. I took the saw to the store and explained my problem. We took It out side to their work area. The owner of the store told me to hold It. He pulled on the start cord about one dozen times and It started. He then said to me "you owe me $9.00". I said "for what"? He said for starting your saw. I told him after spending $400. for a saw that won't start, he could stick It. I didn't pay him and I haven't been back. I drive to the Placerville store. read more

I've been going to this store for many many years - like decades! Got a Husqvarna chain saw there about 10+ years ago - it's never missed a beat. New saw chains, sharpening old saw chains - quick service with a smile and a nice conversation. Prices are reasonable too - they sell quality tools/accessories. It is 100% the opposite of the big box store down the street. If you need a new power tool or if you need to get one repaired - this is the place! read more

These guys are knowledgeable, friendly and honest. Really can't ask for more. They do get busy, but that's to be expected when everyone is running equipment. read more

I brought a apiece of equipment in for repair. I was told it would be sometime before it would be repaired. It was awhile and some issues arose. I was very disappointed and upset. Here's the thing, they knew they were screwing up and fixed it. I don't mean fixed my equipment (which they did fix as well). They fixed the situation. That's what customer service is all about! Great job! read more

I stopped here looking for generic size chainsaw files. The guy doesn't have them. I asked for generic file guide, no luck. Not a lot of dialog. basic supplies not in stock. I got the point that I was interrupting something. Not much equipment on display. Nothing like it was 20 years ago. Never go back. No wonder I usually buy online. I"ll pay extra and wait to avoid these people and eliminate these experiences that are hard to believe. In fact I will take this opportunity to say my neighbor brought a chainsaw here that needed repairs. They take it all apart, give him back the pieces in a box because they said it wasn't worth repairing. Why I even stopped here knowing this was my mistake. Many local services in Placerville are great but far too many are like this. Have to suspect the other glowing reviews are from local friends and family. read more

Wow 9.00 for a fuel line? Take that saw into any place in bay area. Fill out work repair slip, minimum fee 50.00 shop hour pick it up in two weeks. These guys have been great to me. I brought one of my saws clearly marked with Bay Area seller. These guys were very cordial very well priced an saw runs better than ever. Heck, they even told me to bring my 056 in. That alone dates me with saw use an needs for services. Hang in there "Saw Dudes" Thanks again. Some people have never been stuck in a bad place with no options. read more

Been working with these folks for a long time and they have always done an excellent job so I'm surprised by the negative reviews. Just tried to buy some parts which Chris said he would have to order since he didn't have them in stock but if I needed them right away he gave me the names of some of his competitors that might have them. That is what I call taking care of the customer first. Their regular prices are pretty much list prices but they do have sales where you can get a healthy discount. read more

bought a log splitter from these guys and so far their service and support has been great.. i did have the hydraulic pump go bad after about 10 hours of use but they fixed it quickly and all under warranty.. these guys stand behind what they sell and they sell good equipment.. i love the log splitter... read more

Chris was extremely helpful today. He could have charged me, but instead, fixed my saw and shook my hand. No charge! This is the type of service that makes me proud to be part of the Placerville community read more

Very friendly and willing to help out. When their suppliers give them trouble they totally take their customer's side and make any delay worth the wait. read more

Great shop! Friendly staff and a great inventory in stock. I do all my own service work so I can't speak of there repair quality or pricing, that's the reason for 4 stars vs 5. Parts prices are what one should expect, saws are not cheap and neither are there individual parts. That said you can pick up a consumer saw for the same price as the big box stores or go all in a get a pro saw. Doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a good little shop. read more

I took a chain saw in for repair and explained my need to get it fixed asap. They came through, same day, perfect fix, modest price

I have lived up in Garden Valley now for 20 years and I have been going to Camino Power Tool since that time. Yes, it has changed hands but the new owner is very good. I have purchased two chain saws, two weed eaters, blower and more chains than I can remember. The employees have always been helpful even remembering the equipment I purchased when I had forgotten. The new owner has had chain sales where you could buy one chain and get one half price etc. for me this is huge savings and I appreciate that. The guys that work on the equipment are well trained and have sage advice that I have learned and use. I met the new owner at the El Dorado County Fair and he is very down to earth, friendly guy. I have since interacted with the new owner at the shop and he is just as friendly and helpful as the day I first met him. I love this shop and I recommend this shop to anyone that has or needs high quality outdoor equipment. read more
