When asked about the remainder of the work, the owner stated 'he didn't have time to complete' at the moment but would return in (2) weeks to complete. He never showed up. I lost $2250.00.

Stay away from them. You can find better. All told, the estimate was $15,000 which was less than other contractors quoted us, so we hired them: that was a mistake. They take no pride in the work they do and the actual workers cut corners and seem to have very little support from management. Since they left the work site, there is a giant pit where they dug up to access the foundation. There is a difference between settling and this pit. This is not settling. This is cutting corners to finish the job quickly. Since the pit revealed itself, I have found entire bricks, pieces of metal, giant screws, large chunks of mortar, and...what seems to be an entire flue. It was all just buried about two inches below the dirt, that once "settled" it was all revealed. Absolute laziness. They also threw the bricks off the roof, damaging my gutter extender. The workers also carted large volumes of dirt and dumped it in a flower bed with young bushes we planted last Fall in my backyard. Never talked to me about it, never asked. I've been working to shift that dirt around to salvage the plants, but I imagine they are dead by now. Given the carelessness of this exterior work, the amount of debris I heard falling into my chimney and on top of my gas fireplace insert is likely still in there and it would not surprise me if it was damaged as well. Finally, they repointed the brickwork in my basement: I am still cleaning up the basement trying to remove the dust and debris. They used plastic sheeting to "seal off" the work area, but...it didn't work. The basement is absolutely caked in the dust, and it has taken me multiple attempts to mop, dust, and vacuum to clean it up. I'm still trying to clean it up. Also, they used personal items from my basement to hold the plastic sheeting in place. Again, didn't ask, didn't talk to me about it, just did it. Once I realized how poorly they approached their work, I tried calling the number on their website only to realize it was different from the Angi's one and "out of service." Honestly, I would have paid several thousand dollars more for someone who takes pride in the work they do and respects that the work site is someone's home than hire these guys. You want cheap prices, you're going to get cheap work.
