Last year, Tim and his crew installed the most beautiful patio, pizza oven (brick by brick), retaining wall, and gas fired pit that we could ever imagine. We have very high expectations for work done on our property and Tim and his crew exceeded them in all aspects. From pre-planning, design, construction, timelines, and yard cleanup, Tim held our hands throughout the entire process, assisting us with incredible ideas as well. This summer (2019), we hired GreenScapes, to install 1200 sq. ft. of pavers, fencing, lighting, stone, and a walkway (from existing patio), and, new landscaping around our new swimming pool. Once again, the quality of craftsmanship was above outstanding. Tim and his crew also made up for other contractors missed timelines by completing our project in less than two weeks! This included major cleanup from other contractor's damage to our side yard which was beyond the scope of the project. We can't thank them enough and will highly recommend GreenScapes to everyone!

For all 3 projects, we would rate the work as "above expectations". The pricing was the best value for the job we could find in central CT. We look forward to calling GreenScapes again in the near future for some other landscaping and stone work projects.

Alfredo redesigned the drainage, improved the slope of our yard, added more drains along with a GORGEOUS new patio. He also installed a new walkway, a new window well and curved steps. He was on time and worked hard all day long. Alfredo was right there with his crew from the first moment in the morning to the last sweep up at the end of the day. We look out every day to see the excellent workmanship Alfredo and his crew did. So, it was only natural that we call A & J Porfilio Landscape Contractors Inc. when we wanted to replace our front steps with pavers. This year we called A & J Porfilio Landscape Contractors Inc. for a quote to install 2 sets of steps and a walkway to the front of our house. Alfredo came out to take measurements and discussed the project. We received a detailed quote within a week, listing what he would be doing along with the material that would be used for the project. We had the opportunity to see first-hand how Alfredo & Noah took pride in their work. Seeing them spend the time needed measuring, marking and cutting so that every stone fit just right, making our walkway perfect. From the beginning to the final clean-up everything was done to perfection, always treating it as if it was their own home.

Yes, Five Stars. Look at the other reviews, they're Five Stars too…read more This is a great company and easy as heck to work with. A few years ago I contacted them to clean my gutters but also install gutters on my garage. They sent me an estimate electronically, I signed the contract and they did the job shortly thereafter. Aside from the clean (and new) gutters, you wouldn't have even known they were at my house. This year I needed the gutters cleaned again and didn't hesitate to contact RIO. Oh and RIO sent me a reminder via email, reminding me that I should get my gutters cleaned but also giving a list of their other services (power washing, roof washing, tree services). Again I was able to engage them via their website, received the quote quickly, approved it, scheduled the date. Well the date came and they guys didn't come out but Gabriel called me saying that they got hung up on another job and it was getting late and dark out and he said he didn't want them to do my job in the dark (makes sense). He said that the guys could get hurt or miss some clean up. I appreciated that. A quick reschedule occurred. I really, really dig the electronic contract, quote, appointment and such. That's my kind of contractor. Check them out. I think you'll hire them too.

He said it will cost $125 and would not charge more if i paid in cash. He arrived on 10.28.18 and did the driveway. I mentioned it was going to rain, he said it was fine. After the rain, most of the seal coat washed away and left the drive way spotted with white marks. He also sprayed tar all over siding on the house and one half of the garage door. We went back and forth in text messages and he always has an excuse. He will then say he will do it again, and never show up. I asked for a refund, but he has not given it back. His wife texted me and said Matthew was in a car accident and had broken bones but would have one of his assistants redo the driveway on 11.08.18. That never happened. I texted again and said I want a refund, no more excuses. Matthew still has not responded and no one has resolved the issue with my driveway and damage to my house. I have photos of all damages and screen captures of all.

Beautiful Landscaping & Construction was contracted by a remediation company to come in and put the…read morepieces back together after a multilevel flood in my home. The project manager said that Anthony had done good work in the past and was confident in his skill level. But it got to a point where I wouldn't allow his crew to return. The owner of the restoration company asked if I would give Anthony a second chance to come in and complete the tile work. The bathroom floor was straightforward and came out good. But the kitchen was a bit more complex and about 1/4 needs to be torn out. I actually had to explain edging and bullnose tile to him. The pictures are just a small representation of what they considered to be finished work...they had packed up and removed their equipment. I was speechless. There was wall paint all over my cabinets and molding, molding paint all over the ceiling and walls, and gobs of joint compound. The demo crew set up a plastic containment barrier. When it was removed, Anthony's crew painted over the adhesive residue left from the tape. A breakfast nook escaped damage except for a 6-8 inch stain on the ceiling. Instead of using stain blocker, the crew slapped joint compound on the stain and painted over it without sanding. In addition to being sloppy, they clearly do not have the skill to work in old homes. Additionally, they took down the motion sensor to the security system, lost half of the unit, and hung up what was remaining. No one recalls touching it - that's a $350 replacement and installation cost. They also covered my Corian sink in paint, lost the paint covered garbage disposal stopper, used my mop bucket and left it behind covered in crap, and let tons of construction debris pile up in a pantry sink that has 114 year old pipes. The restoration company had their demo guys come in to try and clean up the mess, but unfortunately the ceilings need major remediation and I have to hire someone else to come in to clean up the poor caulking and painting. Work time was already extended at least 1 week because of mistakes and sloppiness. I got the distinct impression that Anthony was juggling a lot. Judging from the reviews, he should drop construction from his business model and focus on the landscaping.

It was supposed to take about 2 weeks. Instead, it dragged on for over 3 months and still wasn't done right. Communication was awful. Everything was by text, and they'd take forever to reply. When they finally did show up, the work was sloppy. The yard isn't level like I asked for (and reminded them about multiple times), and when I brought it up, they refused to fix it, saying it "wasn't in the contract." Total nonsense. They even dumped crushed stone where arborvitae trees were supposed to go. Only found out while I was digging the hole to plant the trees -- who does that?! Claimed they didn't know after I had told them the plans at the start of the project. Now I have to pay another company to fix their mess and properly grade the yard extension. So basically I wasted money, time, and patience dealing with them. Should've listened to the bad reviews on here, but I tried to give them a chance. Big mistake.
