Sure enough, a few days later I got a phone call saying they were doing a nearby job the following day and would like to stop by when it was convenient. I forget the gentleman's name, but the next day he arrived when we agreed, we spoke for 10 mins or so as he scoped out the property and the job, and he explained Frank would call back to get me on the schedule. Frank called back soon after, and we scheduled the job maybe two weeks later, toward the end of June. On the appointed day, the crew showed up about 8am, did their job, cleaned up, and was done by noon. While the house looked great, we were most concerned with our gutters. There was one dam in the front and another in the back, causing a waterfall. My biggest concern was water backing up and seeping into the attic. After Dr. Roof N Shine's work, I'm happy to report that there is no more damming in my gutters and water is flowing to the down spouts as expected. I used somebody else a few years ago and while the ultimate job was fine, the interactions I had left a lot to be desired, not to mention the cigarette butts in my front landscaping and sidewalk. Darek the master carpenter, came once to carefully measure the existing door, lights and woodwork. Ultimately we needed a custom size door built at the factory. His measurements were so accurate, the new door fit perfectly first try in the opening when stood up. Darek performed the removal and new install and is truly a talented professional. We felt lucky to have his skill, and although I'm not a carpenter, I could tell via his work he is excellent. The finished entryway to our home is now amazing and went from rotten to beautiful. Per Cathy's suggestion, I immediately had the surrounding millwork and wood work refinished and painted long before the door install. He does all his estimates on paper, gets his pricing from a paper catalog, hands out business cards at fairs and trade shows, and engages in many other old fashioned histrionics to make a living. He may never truly understand the concept of an "online reputation," in fact. But none of that really matters... Bob is an extremely nice guy, and the results of his work were impressive. We just needed five new vinyl windows upstairs to match the relatively new existing ones downstairs. Bob identified the downstairs windows (Harvey Slimline), and found all the right materials to make the upstairs match nicely. It was a small job, but it was executed very well, and for a much lower estimate than the handful of other contractors I met with. Bob and his co-worker were done in about four hours, and cleaned up after themselves nicely. Fair price, job well done. In May 2019 we are starting to notice water behind our walls on the second floor. Final inspection was never done on the roof because owner of company never called to schedule it. I had it done may 22nd 2019 and it did NOT pass. There is many issues. Sealant was applied to cover up mess ups holes in roof that where never there before roof was even ripped. A ridge vent was applied and never should of been. Very time I came home during the process business owner was never on site. He told me before hand this was not his crew so I expected him to stick around. I came home at least three times a day during this due to having a new puppy at home. Now with everything going on I am noticing other concerns refusal to provide insurance information, he shit his phone off to avoid phone calls from attorney and myself.
