He plugged it into a charger for thirty seconds, saw it doesn't work, then said I have no idea what's going on with your phone. He's supposed to be an expert. Then he said to open the phone I need to pay a minimum of 250 dollars just to proceed. He called it free diagnostic but it's not free. If there's more damage he'll call me with additional charges. If I don't agree to pay more, I still have to pay the 250 dollar minimum cost just for opening the phone. That's not a free diagnostic. That's a scam. Don't go there. Update after the owner's reply: His reply confirms my complaint. In the store he told me to my face that he had no idea what was wrong with my phone. He never said the word motherboard. Yet in writing he now claims he diagnosed a "motherboard-related power issue." If he had actually found that, he would have said so in person. He did not, because all he did was plug my phone into a charger. By his own words, any real diagnosis requires opening the phone, and that only happens after I pay 250 dollars toward a repair. So the free diagnostic tells you nothing. You cannot find out what is wrong without paying first. That is the whole problem. He also says the visit was recorded. I was never told I was being recorded. If he truly has that recording, post it. It will show he told me he had no idea what was wrong, and that 250 dollars was required before he would even open the phone.

I immediately flipped the laptop over, shut it down, and left it upside down while I ran to the store for rubbing alcohol. I carefully wiped down the keyboard and called this place as soon as they reopened on the 26th. For context, Apple told me the computer would likely never work again and tried to sell me a new one. This shop was reassuring on the phone and accepted the drop-off right after the holiday break. The employee we spoke with (may have been the owner considering how competent and dedicated he was) was extremely kind at drop off. I had my computer back within 48 hours, before New Year's Eve, after a deep internal clean. They confirmed the cleaning was successful, that there was no risk of corrosion over time, and no expected shortening of the computer's lifespan. I paid under $100 and walked away with a perfectly functioning MacBook. Nearly two weeks later, there's no sign at all that anything was ever spilled. So grateful to everyone at Quick Fix!

Took over 2 weeks for them to get the GPU fan fixed (if it was fixed before then, they failed to contact me to let me know). On top of that, when I took the GPU out of the box, I noticed it was damaged! The tech obviously had dropped it and didn't think it was necessary to tell me! What a way to leave a bad taste in my mouth--lost my trust immediately at this point. We're already a month past when I first brought them in, and I'm STILL waiting on my other GPU! Frankly, I think I'll be going in tomorrow to get it back. I've sent multiple messages through Yelp when I've been busy at work, and they just leave me on "read" with no reply. Do NOT bring your stuff here. They will tell you that you can reach them whenever you'd like--but that definitely wasn't the case for me. You are going to have to do all the work on your end if YOU want an update from THEM. Thinking back, they never even had me sign any type of paperwork for repairs / services. My daughter ended up going back to have it looked at and Raj and Adeel let her know that it was her screen protector. They removed the screen protector which doesn't make sense at all, but my daughter left thinking that everything was resolved. Wrong, the quality of the front camera was still an issue with no change or improvement. She also purchased the screen protector from the store and never received a refund. She came back a third time and they ended up replacing the screen. Usually, second time's the charm right? Not this time. The quality was exactly the same. My daughter tried messaging through Yelp to find a resolution, but her messages were completely ignored. I'm disappointed in the customer service this store provided although having a good rating. My daughter had to find a more reliable and dependable store to have her screen replaced. So far, it's as new as the day we bought it. Not to mention that the new store we went to was very friendly, fast, and provided a warranty. Having to pay for another store's failure is unpleasant.
