After a zillion bad experiences calling call centres and getting no where it is great to be able to have such wonderful service locally in Fort Erie. The store is very busy which is also a great sign. I friendly young man helped me pick the correct phone and plan (as I was switching from another provider), the process was smooth and he showed me how to set up my voicemail and email accounts. What a breath of fresh air. The Rogers network has been great, if ever I receive roaming charges because my phone bounces over to the United States from time to time, Rogers credits back my account.

Not to be confused with Bent Buy which is where all the goods are Bent…read more I used to be a big fan of Best Buy back in the days when buying music albums and music videos and DVDs and movies and whatnot was the big deal for me in my life. Things have changed and of course and the world has changed completely in the last 20 years. I don't really go to Best Buy lately unless I need something specific and electronic for my computer or perhaps headphones and what not. They almost never have what I need at this particular location and I find that the ones in Amherst and Clarence have better and more complete stock. Another thing that those stores do better is service. The two or perhaps three occasions I've been in here over the last few years including just a couple of months ago were not forthcoming in terms of a good service. I'm not sure why the standard of service at this particular Best Buy doesn't seem to quite match the averaged mediocre level from the other two Buffalo area stores that I go to a lot. The only one I can't remember is the Galleria so I can't directly compare to that one.

They also went over the repair agreement thoroughly, including the $75 diagnostic fee, which goes toward the cost of any repair. At first, I got a call saying the motherboard was completely damaged and likely beyond repair, which was disappointing. Then the next day, they called back and said they had spent more time looking into it and were actually able to fix it. The repair ended up costing an additional $150, but it was absolutely worth it. My kids' PS5 had stopped accepting discs, and now it's working again. They also advised against relying on random YouTube repair tutorials (oops), since DIY fixes can sometimes make the problem much worse (especially if you're clueless like me). Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back here again, although hopefully I won't need to anytime soon!

I had a good experience here…read more I had ordered a Verizon SIM card online with the intent to port my number to Verizon, but something went wrong in the process and my service was activated with a new number. I stopped into this store to hopefully get things resolved quickly. The employee who greeted me was very friendly, but said that wasn't something they could fix in the store. He gave me a phone number to call and explained what information I would need to provide. I got back in the car and called the number he gave me, and everything got resolved without any major issue. I went back in; asked a couple follow up questions and thanked him for his assistance. Again; I ordered the SIM card online, and was activating a phone that I already had... I didn't buy anything from the store, and I was not pressured to do so. This might be because this store is actually owned and operated by Verizon, and isn't just an "authorized retailer" like many mobile carrier retail stores are. Verizon probably realizes there's more to be gained keeping customers satisfied with their monthly service than trying to sell accessories to customers who don't need or want them.

Told me if I wasn't happy with their "help" to go to another store. I've been trying to trade in my phone since July 1st. The customer service person at Verizon messed up MULTIPLE times and 1. Removed me completely from the new account I was supposed to be in 2. When transferring my iPhone 15, put it in as an iPhone 5 and 3. Didn't put me as an account manger. The customer service individual also told me that if I went to the corporate store in OP they would be able to make manual updates to show in the account that the iPhone 15 wasn't 2 days active but 2.5 years active. If this wasn't changed, I'd have to wait yet another 60 days on top of the 13 days I already waited due to the original mistake of putting the wrong phone in for the trade. This would keep me from getting $500-$600 of trade in value. Instead of offering ANY help. I was yet again told to call the same customer service line that messed up everything in the first place. Avoid this store at all costs. Honestly - I want to trade carriers. This is horrible customer service and horrible training if their employees. The only person who was any help was Samantha Carbone at the Derby Store. Glad she works at Verizon.
