I was given a Groupon for this as a gift and it was a nightmare. The appointment was rescheduled…read morenumerous times because the temperature was scheduled to drop. Each time my daughter called to inquire about the appointment, the guy was very nice, and said he would send an email confirmation. She never received one after 4 reschedules. The guy sounded professional but the follow through on promises was incredibly lacking. He came out one day and brought his 5 yr old with him, just to tell us they wouldn't be able to do it that day. It seemed like he didn't want to cause he brought his kid. Then finally he came out on the 4th attempt and brought a woman with him, he talks ALOT, he was nice but after waiting weeks to get it done I just wanted to get going. The first turn off was him mentioning getting a tip in the first 5 minutes of arriving. How about let me see the work first? The biggest turn off was he needed to use MY POWER OUTLET AND MY WATER LINE!!! I was under the impression that mobile units were self sufficient. If I wanted to use MY WATER I would have done it myself. To me, this is unnaceptable. I see mobile units all over Richmond in parking lots using their own water supply and generators. I allowed them to use it just to get it over with. He had to come in to get a bucket filled with hot water trying to get a water stain off the seat. In the end they came inside. He also showed me a bottle of cleaner they use called "totally awesome" that they said they get from dollar tree and advised me to buy for myself. (I prayed this was not the only cleaner they intended to use. I hoped there was business indusyrial strength product in that van. The guy was talking a lot telling me stories of other detail jobs and as I checked out the car from the window they stood there watching me.. clearly waiting for a tip I couldnt bring myself to give because I feel like I've already paid for it by using MY WATER and electricity. I thanked them and sent them on the way. (Crazy thing is I'm a great tipper but this was so awful and I couldn't do it) He gave me instructions to run the heat in my car to help the drying process. An hour later I checked the car and was incredibly disappointed to see not only did they not get the front seats cleaned like he said they would be when it was dry... but now I have NEW white stains from the product they used to clean my back seats. He came up to me after we both washed our vehicles looking for an argument. He told me in a condescending manner if I don't know how to use the wash to stay away. Not looking for a confrontation, I told him "we were done here," and proceeded to vacuum my car. He became agitated and told me if I "come to this country I should listen to the advice of those who are from here," and "that's why nobody likes me." (He was a middle aged white male) he then added that he "makes $150,000 a year detailing cars" and "I don't get to dismiss him" This really bothered me because despite my appearance, I was born and raised here in the US and I don't appreciate that type of immature behavior from someone probably 15 years older than me. I told him if he details cars for a living, what's he doing at the $4 car wash? He proceeded to go to the management office and complain about me. After speaking with them they told me I was welcome back anytime and apologized for the trouble, lol. My advice is to stay away from this business and it's owner.
