Had seen reviews and Essy seemed widely respected. Gave him a call. He answered and I asked if he could fit me in. He apologized that he couldn't because he was at his daughter's graduation that day but that if I called back Monday he'd see if he could fit me in. I ultimately found another shop nearby that also had good reviews with immediate availability and it was a good experience, but just wanted to say how much I admired Essy answering my call. I felt like he did in case it was an emergency repair situation (it obviously wasn't), which definitely reflects what his customers say about him. And to apologize about his availability bc he was attending a major event for his loved one... being gracious and generous is definitely in his nature. So just wanted to share that :-)

I called Polly's Monday morning, 10/23, and they told me the owner was out of town and nothing could be done until he returned the following Monday, 10/30 (today). I called this afternoon, and the owner, Kenny, told me the damage absolutely did not happen there - though it did, and that it's been too long now anyway, so there wasn't anything he'd do about it. How can Polly's guarantee the damage did not happen while in their care when they parked my car across the street on Belmont Blvd., where it could easily have been side-swiped? When I mentioned he should honor it, he said okay. Dropped off on time and walked to Nadeen's for breakfast. Upon returning just over an hour later, I saw my car in the stall. I asked the guy at the desk how much longer and was told it was being worked on. We sat outside in the blazing sun because their small waiting room was full. After several minutes, we noticed a mechanic start to look at our car. I asked him how much longer and was told he just needs to drain the oil and refill it. So more-or-less, nothing had been done over the past 1.5 hours! I asked if the tires had been rotated and was informed they didn't need it! What?! Leads me to believe the full safety inspection I also paid for was not done either. Two hours later, the oil change was complete. I told the guy at the counter that they should not make an appointment time they can't honor. His reply was that they needed a stall. Again, a 9 am appointment should not be started past 10:30 am! My previous oil changes here were very positive experiences, yet this one just made me decide not to do business here again. Terrible customer service today.

My car, that I have had for a year to 14-months was making a rattling sound - that's it nothing more or nothing less. My late father was a mechanic so I do keep up with maintenance on my vehicle. Due to me not having a ride I had to sit in the establishment to wait for my service to be completed and as I waited I witnessed the owner conversing with his employees about the customers. I'm assuming these were regulars because of how comfortable with each other saying certain things but as soon as they left he made the statement "That's why I do not like black people" and Primm is an African American man. I should have known then that this business looks as people as just a source of income (mainly elderly people or women he assumes has no automotive sense) After getting told the results of my diagnostic I was quoted with a job to fix it of $1300 to fix a water pump and timing belt so roughly $1100 in labor for a part that costs no more than $200. After I declined due to the (what I believe) unjust price I paid $108 for my diagnostic and was given my car back. I am writing this review in my car that just received back and my vehicle is somehow low on oil (never had any leakage whatsoever). My cars RPM is jumping to 4, idling heavy, and I cannot accelerate and the response I was given was that my car's performance just so happened to decrease after letting them look at it and as they told me before to get it fixed or my cars engine will fail soon. If you are a native of Nashville - this business is the Car Concepts of automotive repair/service.
