I ask to stay one month, I left after 3 weeks so my rate went from monthly to weekly which I had no idea the rates worked that way. Thats fine, I could have made a different decision, I would have stayed rather than paying the full month and only staying three weeks.. I did ask about this before hand and was told, leaving early wouldn't be an issue but still, no mention of mo vs wkly rates, who knew. I just felt a little jilted for the money I paid vs what I stayed. I'd still go back but have more understanding of the terms. Its just a stain on my experience there because I loved it.

This campground needs a major overhaul in my opinion. Just driving thru it looks okay from a…read moredistance, but it's obvious that repairs and upgrades have been few and far between. The camper slots are squished very close together. The roads are full of holes and people park their boat trailers all over the place. We were not there to camp, though; we stayed in a cabin that has not been upgraded in years--it had dusty and stained wood walls, a wall A/C unit that struggled to keep the room cool, rotten and peeling siding and trim on the outside, a grill that looked like it'd fall over if you tried to use it, furniture that was old, scarred and didn't look fit to sit on, a bathroom with a toilet not bolted to the floor, no stopper in the sink, a rusty soap dish and toothbrush holder, a non-working exhaust fan light, and dust/dirt on the baseboards and corners, a bed with a torn bedspread and pillows so thin you could hardly tell you had one, a kitchen with scarred and old cookware, bare minimum utensils, cups and plates and no dish towels. The one good thing was that it smelled clean when you walked in, but that was deceiving. The only reason we stayed there was that we were with family that chose the place and it was convenient, but I would not go back if you paid me and neither would they.

We had a very disappointing experience with Cruise America. From the start, staff tried several…read moretimes to get us to sign the paperwork without properly checking the RV, which felt wrong. When we finally received the camper, it was extremely dirty. The floor was sticky and brown, the kitchen drawers left brown residue when touched, and overall the interior was in poor condition--loose drawers, a broken microwave turntable, etc. When we pointed this out, the employee helping us said it was because her colleagues were "lazy," but she made no effort to get the RV cleaned. On top of that, the towels and linens we rented were unacceptable: stained, with yellow marks, burn holes, and even black hairs in the washcloths. We told Cruise America the condition of the RV and linens was unacceptable, but were simply told that no other RVs were available since each customer is pre-assigned a specific vehicle. As we had a long drive ahead and needed to reach our destination before dark, we reluctantly took the RV and ended up buying our own towels and sheets. At drop-off at another location, we again shared our experience, but the response was just "sorry to hear about that," with no attempt to make things right. The lack of cleanliness, the poor state of the RV, the condition of the rented linens, and the dismissive customer service made this an awful experience. It was clear that Cruise America staff simply didn't care. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for RV rentals.

DO NOT- DO NOT rent from Cruise America!!!! I reserved the RV 6 months in advance and received a…read morecall 4 days before our trip to be told that they "overbooked" and canceled the RV. I was told that I could drive to Baton Rouge (5 1/2 hours away) to pick one up. Cruise America did NOTHING to help find a RV locally. After 2 hours I was able to find a smaller one in Enterprise. Picked it up and the NIGHTMARE started! Toilet was leaking after the 1st day. The water in the tank that we tried to shower with was brown. It started raining where we were at and we noticed water at the top of the sleeping cabin- it was LEAKING! As we drove the RV back EARLY because we could no longer use the RV it started leaking inside the cabin on the driver's side and passenger side! The only way to contact ANYONE regarding a concern- complaint is by email and it takes 10-15 days for a response. Once they finally did reach out by email only, they have NO desire to compensate for the disaster of an RV that was rented to us. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!
