So yesterday when I started my car after a great lunch, I got a warning about my key fob being…read moreweak. Luckily for me I was in the area of my go to place for batteries. My watch, yes I still wear a watch, that had needed batteries for a while but I never seemed to be in that area when it was open or I forgot. So it was rush hour with backed up traffic and not that far so decided to go right away. Who wants to fiddle with that tiny non key key for the car? I usually have it replaced every two years but obviously missed this time. Good to know the car will remind me. So 15 minutes later I was there. It's right off Bandera but a little hard to find as all the place names have been removed from the building. It's between Grass Valley and Poss by the Taco Bell. Very quick service both my watch and fob were replaced in a few minutes I paid and was back on my way. They have all kinds of batteries, light bulbs and cell phone repair stuff here but I only use them for batteries. I'm usually on my way to somewhere and don't want to spend much time. In and out quickly with a smile. As long as I still wear a watch or need fob batteries replaced this is the place for me. I often then stop at ChaChos for a drink on my way back but not this time, traffic was just too bad and it's still just to go.

The clerks were friendly and pointed me right to the blinker fluid aisle. I had a minute wait since one of the clerks was helping a guy install a new brake light bulb in the parking lot. Sweet! They'll even help you with the installation! The store was orderly, neat and clean. The aisles were well lit, and the parking lot was clean. It's a newer building and located right next to a car wash so you can get your car shined after you outfit it with new oil! This location is not on a hard corner, it's on the northbound side of Babcock. The prices were quite fair, and I was able to get out for much cheaper than I was expecting. Caste jumped into action and got the battery tested, (it was bad) then validated it was still under warranty and replaced/installed a new battery all in about 15 min. I know they must do this a million times a week but wow did he make my day go smoother. He also did all of this with a great attitude. I know other places offer this service as well, but I've never had a bad experience at an O'Reilly's yet...even in locations outside of Texas. This is my go to place for "real" car parts, and solid advice from someone who does this. They will offer to assist with some items like wiper blade replacement and light bulbs I assume that battery swaps are not a problem.
