Ernesto was amazing! I called and he came same day and fixed my car. Quick service, friendly and very knowledgeable. I called last minute and he came Quick. Definitely would recommend to anyone in the Manteca area!!

Hired thru InstantCarFix.com ($155 for diagnostic) whom stated that they would send a Certified Mechanic. Normally would only deal with Mazda dealer but circumstances forced me to go outside norm- especially when dealer closed in town & towing out of the question for a night nurse w teens. Mechanic did not introduce himself at 1st but since vehicle stated business, I did not question him. Gerardo Came out on Saturday, 2/8/25 11-1130am with 12yo son. I was shocked when he called his son to put him "to work" to help him remove the lug nuts for 1 wheel. I did not have the heart to say STOP even after hearing that awful sound when you don't have a good grip. In our conversation, I felt he gave a good explanation of the deflooding procedure/"checking basics" and the need to change spark plugs or the "engine was done". He also informed me about getting a Temp Permit from DMV for SMOG.G mentioned 7yrs in the business and does NOT work before 11am. I agreed for G to order spark plugs. G left the car with Intake box & crossbar out and gave me his "NEW" business card. No paperwork. I declined InstantCarFix high quote, and mistakenly told G that amt. 2/11 G Sent Txt cost for plugs "39.99x4 + Labor:$100". Txt stated "Total: $210 plus tax"- I know... bad math. 2/12 requested personal info & VIN to book appt stating "Issue: Tune Up". 2/13 in am, I txt G a ? that aside from plugs what else does his Tune up include and replied "Just spark plug". I asked who bus owner was because the card he gave me said ERNESTO but his name was diff. He said he was the owner and that E was his middle name. I asked why Website on card was not connected yet & he replied "being changed to accept online payments and new layouts so will be back up soon". I informed him of my 1st time w mobile service, asked if gives paperwork/receipt and stated would provide one once "we finish the care" ::: Here started the problems: G admitted to breaking parts in engine. No apology just said that he would order 3 elbows and let me know cost. Also talked about being able to add radiator fluid & oil at extra cost. 2/13 11a changed spark plugs & accepted $273 paymt via square & stated earlier had received $100 from InstantCarFix. Had trouble w Cell connectivity, even asked if I had wifi but got it to work near the street while waving it in the air. Again, left car incomplete & stated part would come in Mon or Tues. I was just happy my car started.... Late 2/13 I inquired by text for a better understanding of how the part broke if he was only changing spark plugs? Asked if he had car protector? If had policy for breaking parts in writing? I also made him aware that I found a piece of an elbow inside the fuse box. REPLIED::: "elbows 20yrs old, hoses needed to be removed in order to remove the intake. I will replace the elbows and that will conclude are business... Our". I told him that I had removed the intake w my brother & replaced carefully a few months ago & no problems. I also inquired about the price & type of plugs and informed me that I had researched incorrect one which was true but price at AutoZone was 29.99. G said he sent receipt/invoice earlier in the day but he didn't send by email until after texting at 951pm. (Invoice said Job Complete- NOT accurate. See text images because after I txt I am just trying to be an informed customer...he pretty much said that after either leaving parts or installing this would "conclude our business. We will not be servicing your vehicle once this dispute is mended. Have a good night." G text that parts arrived on Tues 2/18. I called him this time to avoid misunderstandings, I decided not to have him work on my car after the previous events. Agreed to drop off parts either Tues afternoon or Wed- NEVER came. No txt, call, email. Txt him Thurs 2/20 714 am when he would come and without a reply or call... the parts were dropped off at 1021 on my porch per my doorbell camera and I guess this concludes OUR business. G is not in the BBB. NOT Licensed and bonded-see card, truck, and website: https://cityoflathropca-energovweb.tylerhost.net/apps/selfservice#/search I did not appreciate the change in personality, character, defensiveness, inconsistency, carelessness, gas-lighting, and poor business communication ethics. This Raider fan, G, is obviously not a reliable person for female customers who just want to be informed and ask a lot of questions. Will upload pics. Do your research, buy your own parts, and hire at your own risk.

On the road again after almost 1 year.

I'm glad ,I picked the Mobile Auto Repair 209 Lathrop. Had the pleasure to meet Brandon and Brandon. Solid 2 guys , friendly, very knowledgeable, great service. They took care of my jeep in less than 45mn. They don't mess around, they on it. Call them,leave a message. No BS , they're fair, and honest people. Big ups to Brandon and Brandon, much Mahalo .

Before

My 1998 Toyota Corolla was in desperate need of new shocks and struts, so I decided to make a few calls and get a coilover install and alignment on schedule with Brandon. I have to say, he was quick and easy to deal with, open availability, and was able to squeeze me in and took fantastic care of me, not to mention he guided me through the entire process before, and after. I am beyond happy with how everything turned out, if you want someone you can trust, and someone who will take great care of you, I highly recommend this company! Thanks Brandon !

Even though it was after hours, Carlos was incredibly kind and told me to bring the car in right away. When I picked up the car, he walked me through exactly what he'd done and answered all my questions with patience and professionalism. Carlos went above and beyond to make a stressful situation feel easy and manageable. I truly felt taken care of.

There's a reason why I've never stopped going here for all of my cars & the same goes for my parents. This place has become my family's go-to mechanic as my grandma also goes here now after we recommended she take the over 30-year old car with over 200,000 miles on it here as she refused to give up on getting it fixed. My grandma's previous mechanic failed/refused to repair it but United Auto took on the beast of a job & got it done. The owner Teddy even towed her car from her house to their shop & back for free whenever a new issue occurred while she's at home or work rather than her taking it over herself & getting a ride as she's the only driver in her household; also giving her discounts throughout the process. They also replaced an entire engine in my Mom's car. The team at United Auto Repair do a wonderful job on all of my family's different types & ages of cars. They are genuinely good people that make me feel like I'm not being ripped off as their prices seem reasonable to me; a person who is sort of a car-fanatic. I feel like my cars are in good hands in their care & my family & I will continue to recommend them to our family & friends the same way I'm recommending them to the reader of this lengthy feedback.
