Although I didn't hire him myself--the buyer did--I was very impressed with his professionalism. He arrived right on time, was courteous, and performed a very thorough vehicle inspection. He took the time to explain his findings clearly and answered all of the buyer's questions without rushing. As the seller, I appreciated how fair, knowledgeable, and professional he was throughout the process. He made the inspection smooth and straightforward for everyone involved. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable mobile vehicle inspection service. read more

I've used this service a few times and each time I was happy with my results. I recently had a new water pump installed on my 2018 Honda Accord. What I initially thought would take 2 days to complete ended up only taking a day. He was on time & thorough. The convenience of having this done at my home in my garage is what I love most. Will definitely use this service again and highly recommend Ernesto. read more

Called Mobile Auto Repair 209 on Wednesday last week around 340PM, to see if they had an opening that same day after I got off of work at 5PM to get my spark plugs replaced. I called, the mechanic answered promptly and professionally. He said he could be at my home at 530PM. However, I forgot I still had to pick my daughter up from school and texted him I wouldn't be home until a little later, he needed time for my car to cool down, as I was driving it still. So he then said he would come at 6PM to accommodate me. Which I appreciated. He arrived, called when he was outside, got paperwork ready for me and I signed. He was setting up his light and finished my plug replacement in less than 10 minutes. (I know I could've done the job myself, it's a relatively easy replacement, especially easier when you have the power tool) However I'm one of those gals who'd rather just pay someone else to do it. He even noticed something else on the car that I already knew about and told me exactly what I needed and quoted me his labor price for it if I purchased the part. His prices are very reasonable and just his overall availability and communication every step of the way. I think I found a new mechanic in the 209 that's actually trustworthy! I definitely recommend this company for your mechanical car needs! read more

Absolutely would NOT RECOMMEND. Left my vehicle worse off by far, took payment then missed two commitments to return. Ignored text messages..Nearly 2 months later now, left job undone and damaged intake manifold boot. Reinserted damaged ignition cylinder that now cannot be removed. Unprofessional, loses temper working on vehicle. Appears to have been unlicensed, Bureau of Auto Repair cannot locate him, physical address is a mailbox. read more

Absolutely would recommnd these guys. Thorough and knowledgable in their skills and craft, gets it done in a timely manner, and also at a pretty decent price as well (no hidden fees, no bs). I had a pretty bad accident on Main St (I ended up running into a divider to avoid hitting some stupid bicyclist going the wrong way) and ended up having to hunt down a new engine oil pan for a Honda 2010 Insight ( and from what I have read, doing work like that on that make and model is arduous. Thankfully, the guy who showed up and got to work handled it professionally and fairly quickly. Just make sure to pay attention to the parts they tell you to grab. And keep and eye out for any good deals on the parts as well. A reliable and professional job, and would highly recommend any day of the week! read more

Hired thru InstantCarFix.com ($155 for diagnostic) whom stated that they would send a Certified Mechanic. Normally would only deal with Mazda dealer but circumstances forced me to go outside norm- especially when dealer closed in town & towing out of the question for a night nurse w teens. Mechanic did not introduce himself at 1st but since vehicle stated business, I did not question him. Gerardo Came out on Saturday, 2/8/25 11-1130am with 12yo son. I was shocked when he called his son to put him "to work" to help him remove the lug nuts for 1 wheel. I did not have the heart to say STOP even after hearing that awful sound when you don't have a good grip. In our conversation, I felt he gave a good explanation of the deflooding procedure/"checking basics" and the need to change spark plugs or the "engine was done". He also informed me about getting a Temp Permit from DMV for SMOG.G mentioned 7yrs in the business and does NOT work before 11am. I agreed for G to order spark plugs. G left the car with Intake box & crossbar out and gave me his "NEW" business card. No paperwork. I declined InstantCarFix high quote, and mistakenly told G that amt. 2/11 G Sent Txt cost for plugs "39.99x4 + Labor:$100". Txt stated "Total: $210 plus tax"- I know... bad math. 2/12 requested personal info & VIN to book appt stating "Issue: Tune Up". 2/13 in am, I txt G a ? that aside from plugs what else does his Tune up include and replied "Just spark plug". I asked who bus owner was because the card he gave me said ERNESTO but his name was diff. He said he was the owner and that E was his middle name. I asked why Website on card was not connected yet & he replied "being changed to accept online payments and new layouts so will be back up soon". I informed him of my 1st time w mobile service, asked if gives paperwork/receipt and stated would provide one once "we finish the care" ::: Here started the problems: G admitted to breaking parts in engine. No apology just said that he would order 3 elbows and let me know cost. Also talked about being able to add radiator fluid & oil at extra cost. 2/13 11a changed spark plugs & accepted $273 paymt via square & stated earlier had received $100 from InstantCarFix. Had trouble w Cell connectivity, even asked if I had wifi but got it to work near the street while waving it in the air. Again, left car incomplete & stated part would come in Mon or Tues. I was just happy my car started.... Late 2/13 I inquired by text for a better understanding of how the part broke if he was only changing spark plugs? Asked if he had car protector? If had policy for breaking parts in writing? I also made him aware that I found a piece of an elbow inside the fuse box. REPLIED::: "elbows 20yrs old, hoses needed to be removed in order to remove the intake. I will replace the elbows and that will conclude are business... Our". I told him that I had removed the intake w my brother & replaced carefully a few months ago & no problems. I also inquired about the price & type of plugs and informed me that I had researched incorrect one which was true but price at AutoZone was 29.99. G said he sent receipt/invoice earlier in the day but he didn't send by email until after texting at 951pm. (Invoice said Job Complete- NOT accurate. See text images because after I txt I am just trying to be an informed customer...he pretty much said that after either leaving parts or installing this would "conclude our business. We will not be servicing your vehicle once this dispute is mended. Have a good night." G text that parts arrived on Tues 2/18. I called him this time to avoid misunderstandings, I decided not to have him work on my car after the previous events. Agreed to drop off parts either Tues afternoon or Wed- NEVER came. No txt, call, email. Txt him Thurs 2/20 714 am when he would come and without a reply or call... the parts were dropped off at 1021 on my porch per my doorbell camera and I guess this concludes OUR business. G is not in the BBB. NOT Licensed and bonded-see card, truck, and website: https://cityoflathropca-energovweb.tylerhost.net/apps/selfservice#/search I did not appreciate the change in personality, character, defensiveness, inconsistency, carelessness, gas-lighting, and poor business communication ethics. This Raider fan, G, is obviously not a reliable person for female customers who just want to be informed and ask a lot of questions. Will upload pics. Do your research, buy your own parts, and hire at your own risk. read more

A great experience with them from start to finish. Angelina has great customer service, from calming me down as I thought my car was completely falling apart to answering all questions about pricing, the issues I had been noticing with my car, and getting service to me within about 40mins. The technician came and was very professional, took time to explain the issues, and gave information on follow up work if I should need it. Thank you! read more

I have recently used their service twice in the last month and a half. Noticed that my car was having a horrible smell and that I had a leak, they came out next day to run a diagnostic. Told me what I needed to get done and of course I was going back to work Monday (this was a Friday and I'm a teacher) and I needed it fixed asap. He said he could order the parts and do it on a Sunday. I was so incredibly grateful. He came early, fixed it and it was great service. I unfortunately was still leaking due to another issue and he came to my workplace and fixed my car there. Communication was good, convenience was great, I'll never go to another mechanic shop again read more

First of all my appointment was at 4 o'clock and the guys were right on time.....My 2019 Acura TLX started showing different problem errors for the past few weeks and I called these guys to come out and take a look at my car. One of the errors showed transmission problem and the other error showed brake system problem. The guys that came out were so honest with me and let me know the cable on the battery was loose. I was only charged and paid for a diagnostic fee, and that is it. I am so thankful that they were honest and didn't charge me for some BS fake diagnosis. Thank you again ! I will definitely be doing business with you all again . read more

Wanted a diagnostic just to see what was wrong with my car cause I was told by someone else that I need a new steering knuck but Brando came out to my house to check it out. He tightened the nut to the outer tie rod, looked at everything else in detail and recommended a few things. But overall he helped me understand why and how. Customer service was on point! I'd definitely come back and recommended if anything comes up again read more

Ernesto is a very honest and trustworthy auto mechanic. He is very knowledgeable on all different types of vehicles at a very affordable price. He is a very upfront person and will give the best advice for you ride. He is willing to work with you. I called him up because my van had a misfire but three of the spark plugs and coil packs were underneath of the intake. He was very easy to talk to and quoted me a great price for either installation only or with parts. Due to his experience, he recommended the correct parts to purchase. Once the parts arrived, i called home and came over to install the parts the next day. After he completed the installation, he recommended a few things and also showed me a few how to check around the engine things to prevent future issues. Now my van runs perfectly and had gained power that was lost. He really treat his customers vehicles like if it was his. I will definitely continue to get his assistance on car issues. I highly recommend his auto mechanic services. Thank you very much Ernesto. read more

Active duty soldier so im off very late usually, but Ernesto accommodated me and came in the evening! I had some issues with the transmission on a 1951 gmc with LS swap and called at least 12 different shops in the area. When everyone else was hesitant to even try Ernesto came no hesitation and helped me pinpoint the problem. We may not have got it fixed due to needed customizations/fabrication work, but i know the direction to go with the project and for that im grateful. Turn around time for the appointment was also very quick, definitely recommend. read more
