They also always seem to have a friendly staff when I am there as well. The gas here is always a bit more expensive but it's on the exit when coming back from Kansas so I always seem to stop. Inside, the men's room was clean though some water on the sink counter. No paper on the floor, though. About as clean as I would expect for a busy Friday in the late morning. Quick to get back onto the highway and don't forget that you can get 10c off per gallon by scanning the barcode in your Love's app! Sounds like a death-knell, right? Not exactly. The place still has good workers on the retail store side and the homegrown chicken joint is still the original one for now, and their product is always selling out the door at this still-well-used fuel-n-food location. Having said that - the store had clean but small restrooms, the attached restaurant was packed at lunch time, so I assume it is good, and an ecletic collection of stuff to buy, including a broad selection of Missouri wines and Route 66 souvenirs. Note: Stuckeys has purchased some candy making capacity and is actually making it's own products as opposed to outsourcing the production which it had for several decades.
