I stopped going here a while ago because they just take so long to start pumping and I'm usually short on time. But this last time was the first in a long time, and it reminded me not to come here.
I never use my bank card as a debit, only credit, because it's easier to refute fraudulent charges and nip sketchy activity in the bud. Especially at a gas station, where credit card info is notorious for being stolen. Two employees attempted to force me to use my PIN number even after I said I prefer credit. I was put off and it felt sketchy. First, the guy would not listen to me ( just kept repeating "PIN number! PIN number!" ) he called over someone above him who spoke better English, and HE tried to manipulate me into using my PIN number "for your own security." Saying it's safer. I've never been to a gas station in my life that wouldn't allow me to pay with credit card. Please don't let these gas station attendants convince you it's safer to give them your PIN number! Call your own bank, they understand it a lot better, and they will explain to you as they did for me, it's safer as a credit card at a gas station if you cannot use cash! And trust your instincts, you'll be glad you did. read more
