It was alright. My…read moretruck was dirty from highway driving and dusty from sitting at a campground. I decided to try My Car Wash. I took their top wash ($14). The attendant sprayed the front of the truck pretty well as well as the driver front tire. The wash pulled me through it pretty quickly. Once out, I turned and stopped in their lot to adjust my mirrors and do a walk around. The truck was pretty shiny and still pretty wet, so it was t easy to tell how good the wash was. I drove a mile down Broadway to get gas. While fueling, I did another walk around. The truck had dried from the short drive. I noticed my tires were still really dirty, as were my rims and the top of my back bumper. The driver front tire that the attendant had sprayed prior to washing was pretty good. I feel it would have been best for the attendant to pretreat all 4 sides and wheels/tires to assure a great outcome.

Instead of removing the scratches, they put a ton of color on the rusty parts of my car, which I haven't asked for. After asking friends and neighbors with no luck I turned to Yelp and saw the great reviews for Monona Motors. I had seen this place dozens of times on walks and bike rides - it is just a mile away so I thought I would give them a try. It is a tiny place so it is hard to get into but I was not in a rush - two weeks out was OK. Greg and the guys were really friendly and straightforward in helping to figure out what was wrong. They only fixed what was wrong and did so in a cost effective way. They also discovered a very rusted out part that needed replacing in order to replace a rocker arm (I saw the old one - wow I am lucky it didn't fall apart). They tried getting the part from Nissan but due to pandemic supply chain issues it was not available but they found one from the South on Ebay for a quarter of the price of new. It was in great shape (no salt used down there). I like their initiative in trying Ebay for the part. I brought the car back for this additional work. It was done quickly and for the price quoted. So far so good with both the brake job and the front end work - and I am sure I saved a ton of $ going to these guys. I am glad I found them on Yelp!

I paid $25 for a full service wash which was supposed to include exterior, interior, vacuum, windows and freshener. Needless to say all they did was a crappy vacuum of the carpets in the front and back, nothing else except run it through their wash and dry. When I brought it to their attention they told me that because it was an SUV it would cost more. I didn't even get the air freshener. There is still bug splat on the windows, dirty cup holder, sand in the gears. It all comes with travel, but hey that's why I was paying them?
