This place was amazing and the staff were so helpful! My car had some issues due to a previous shop I took my car to and the workers at Mobil not only fixed the issues I had due to the previous place I went to but they also fixed my car as fast as they could to make sure I had my car back quickly, they also provided me a ride home because my vehicle was not safe to drive at the time. They made sure to explain everything my car would need to ensure my car was safe to drive. I am so thankful to have had such a great experience with these guys! I have gotten inspections here many times, and have spent probably thousands here on gas, as I live very close and have never had an issue, but the complaints I am reading on here must have been with the SAME man that I had a negative experience with today. He was extremely rude, dismissive, told me I was being impossible and to get out when I told him that he could have said things friendlier. He should definitely not be the face of unless you want to lose many customers. I am not the type of person to complain unless an experience that I had made me feel really upset, and unfortunately, that was today. My experience at this location was so atrocious, I thought I'd check their reviews. Add me to the list of those that do not recommend giving them your business. Approached them politely with a car related question and got an unbelievably rude response from staff. People keep mentioning the "rudeness." I have no idea who they are referring to. The Crew at Hyannis has handled my vehicles inspections AND repairs ever since my original mechanic left MA due to our ever shifting repair laws . I will Admit Mike can be intimidating, because he IS very no nonsense and does not like people wasting his time. That's where any valid criticism ends. Mike will tell you what is broken from head to toe on the vehicle. He will also tell you a fair price for the work as well as what NEEDS to be done vs. what is expensive and can wait. If you want an expensive spoiled dealership experience where they shred your money recklessly, go to a dealership. Owner will yell at you for following the instructions posted on their signs, can't hear anything that you're saying. Inspector advised me to tolerate the old racist or take my business elsewhere. Avoid for state inspections. Go to BJ Gas nearby for cheaper gas and better service read more

Avoid getting your inspection done here!!! I had no idea about the bad reviews specifically for people who've had inspections done but wish i looked before hand... The older "gentleman" (who has attitude more equivalent to an angry troll unhappy with life) just can not stop the bs spewing out of his mouth, it'd probably be a miracle if he stops to think before he speaks, but based on past reviews that's never gonna happen. If you want to be treated like a bug about to be stepped on then come here. If you'd rather be treated like a person, go somewhere else. read more

Stopped by for a state inspection. It was my first time going here so I read the sign that said "stop here and park on the yellow line' then the rude old man that many other people mention in their 1 star reviews came out and told me off for parking where the sign told me to and told me I was somehow supposed to know that I was supposed to park off to the side and wait to be waved over when it was my turn. Why didn't the sign just say that? Why the need to be so rude to your customers? I took my business to North Street Automotive in Hyannis, they were fantastic. 5 Star This place could learn some customer service from them. read more

Last week I tried 3 different places to get inspected and they all were having computer issues from that big hack that happened. Decided to go here the first time and I asked an older man if they were doing inspections, he looks and me for a second and says " that's gotta be the dumbest question I've heard all day" I told him I'm a new customer and that's no way to talk to anyone and he said that's "not how they do things here". Rude personnel. We stopped by on Saturday to get state inspection done. There were 3 ppl - the one who was inspecting the car, the person behind the counter and another technician. Out of 3 ppl - two were rude, the only nice guy was the one working on the car. I consider place with 66% (2 out of 3 ppl) of personnel rude is unacceptable and going forward I will avoid this place and recommend everyone to avoid it. At the same time I recommend management to do a "good manners or how to be nice with customers training" because as we all know - "A dissatisfied customer will tell between 9-15 people about their experience. This is a decent place to stop off Route 6 to gas off up grab a bite to eat. Then food court has a dunks , subway, and convienance store. The parking lot is huge and easy for RVs and big rigs to park and turn around. The bathrooms are kinda gross but it is a highway rest stop after all. read more

Absolutely terrible manager (older man) is rude and not knowledgeable whatsoever. He yelled at me saying I couldn't use the squeegee even though I have been a paying customer there several times. The employee who's doing this should be terminated from all future employment at Exxon Mobile. read more

I have been going here for years and the staff was always rude but got the job done so I tolerated it. I won't anymore. Walked in and saw several cars waiting for inspections but I had time to wait and just wanted to ask how long it might be. First they called me "kid" and I'm 42. But I told them I saw cars waiting and got cut off "5 cars.....at least. It will be a long wait." So I asked if they could give me any estimate and they said rudely "as long as it takes!" I told them I wasn't trying to rush them, I have time to wait. He said "what do you want me to say man? 40? 50 minutes? I don't know." So I started to walk away and said "for you it's an hour now." been going to this Mobil for 30+ years .... the current owners are great..no problems ever ... I notice a trend that locals seem to be ok with them, & tourists not so much ... kudos to the employees that have to put up with them in the busy season ... read more

Mechanic who did my inspection was very nice but the owner/manager is an older man with a pretty nasty personality and a bad attitude towards his customers. I was waiting in line in my vehicle on the side for an inspection when he waived me over, I started the car but I couldn't pull out just yet because his mechanic was walking past the front of my vehicle when he looked directly at me and yelled "hurry up lets go!! Lets gooo!" And waved me forward in a nasty tone. This guy doesn't deserve to be in business, would be better off retired..I won't be giving him any money ever again. This is my 3rd bad experience with this guy so shame on me for thinking it would get better read more

The majority of people working here are comically rude. I was distraught the first time around dealing with them but the second time i just couldn't take them seriously. Anything you need here, you can find somewhere else. Don't waste your time on someone who's gonna be nasty read more

This is the worst Mobile I have been to in years. Use to be customer friendly, not anymore. I sat outside the gas fumed garage door in a $10 dirty plastic chair for @ 20 minutes today to get my inspection sticker. I had no choice as the inside is a cramped, dirty, claustrophobic closet. I was given R-rejected because the wheel was hard to turn to the right. Okay, I grew up without power steering and power brakes. So The manager is a disgruntled individual who doesn't even try to interpret what his mechanic is trying to say to you. He just shrugs his shoulders cowardly and thinks I got your money. A big thumbs up to Kevin and the Hyannis Mobil Service Center! We had a problem with our car nearby and limped to his station, and though he doesn't do the kind of repairs our vehicle needed, his concern and help in diagnosing the problem were very much appreciated, as was his generosity in keeping us comfortable until a tow truck arrived. No stars for the evening staff!!! Although there were two grown men working there one Friday night to run the "full service" pumps, the actual ONLY WORD they could say when I asked for help was "NO". I got a low-air-pressure warning light while on Route 6, pulled in to get air, saw the tire was flat, and then my tire-iron stripped as I tried to remove the lugs AT THE STATION'S AIR PUMP. I simply asked to borrow a tire iron, not for them to remove the tire. "No." "So when I ask if you will help me, can you say anything but 'no'?" "No." BOTH ATTENDANTS. So much for helping a fellow human being, or even offering some explanation, regardless of my being a woman. Even when one got off duty, he walked RIGHT BY my car with the tire lying next to it, and offered no help or suggestions. A number of other people tried to help, but we actually had to call AAA to the No-Service Station to help! Booooooo. read more
