I've been a loyal Jiffy Lube customer for over twelve years and have brought all of my vehicles here consistently for oil changes and related services. Until today, I had no complaints. Unfortunately, that changed due to what I believe was poor and dismissive customer service. After picking up my kids from school, I pulled into the Hyannis location, where there were two vehicles ahead of me. As they entered the service bays, I was next in line. An employee then came over and directed me to pull behind Bay 1, the car behind me to Bay 3, and the truck behind them to Bay 2. That seemed orderly and fair. However, another employee, who appeared to be a manager (he mumbled something to that effect), came outside and directed all the vehicles to back up so that the truck -- which had been two cars behind me -- could take Bay 1. When I questioned this, I was told the larger truck needed that particular bay, and I would be next for Bay 2. I voiced my concern respectfully, saying I didn't think it was right to skip over customers based on vehicle size -- especially without explanation or any effort to accommodate the original line order. I told the manager I would be taking my business elsewhere and not returning. His response was a casual "Fine." I pulled around to the front and reiterated that I believed the situation was unfair. I didn't curse or yell, but I was visibly annoyed -- as any loyal customer would be when treated like a number rather than a person. The manager again told me Bay 2 would be open soon and I'd be next there. But by that point, the customer service -- or lack thereof -- had already made up my mind. Maybe others wouldn't have reacted the same way, but I don't think I overreacted. Being skipped without explanation after years of loyalty is frustrating and disappointing. Clear communication and a basic sense of fairness go a long way in customer service -- and unfortunately, neither was on display today. I won't be returning. read more

If I could rate less one star, I would. I just left this place 10 minutes ago. I saw they close at 6pm, so I headed over after work and was there at 5:15. There was another truck in front of me, so I waited. A few minutes later a very rude man came running out ordering me to roll down my window. I did, and he said "I CLOSE AT 6PM NO LATER" and stormed off to the dumpster. I was confused, as there was only one person ahead of me so I asked if that meant I couldn't get my oil changed? He said "YEAH IM ONLY TAKING ONE". This was the first time at this location, and it's certainly my last. I understand if they were closing but this man was incredibly rude. I'll never be back. If I could give 0 stars I would. I brought my car in for a simple oil change, instead of draining the oil they were draining my transmission fluid. I had to bring the car to my mechanic, he had to drain the transmission fluid and replace it. It was a very expensive experience because of their negligence. Needless to say I will never be going back to them for anything. read more

I came to this location for an oil change after i was rudely turned away by the orleans location, after they stated they could not get a bolt off of my oil pan. The service at the hyannis location was AMAZING! Not only did they change my oil, but filled up my transmission fluid, my coolant, & filled my tires with air! I arrived at around 3 o'clock to all the bays full but no line. I pulled in behind one of the pays and was waiting for it to open when another bay emptied out. Without saying anything or attempting to direct me into the now empty bay two employees began screaming and yelling that if I wanted an oil change to move my car into the empty bay. I was confused and motioned to myself to see if it was me they were referring to when one of them screamed "well do you want an oil change or not?!?! This one is empty you idiot!!!". This location seems to have a no mask policy! Only ones that I saw wearing masks were in their vehicles. Employees walking right up to the driver's side windows no mask, no social distancing. In this day and age why is there such a lack of concern for your customers. You have the stay in your car policy for your safety, meanwhile, with no mask on, you are walking up to a car with the window down within 2 feet of the driver who is in a closed vehicle speaking with them. It's been months now, are people still in the dark what the purpose of masks are. read more

My trip to Jiffy Lube the other day in Hyannis Mass. was so wonderful as always. They took such good care of me and really went the extra mile. There's a woman who works there whonis is absolutely wonderful unfortunately I don't remember her name to give her credit but I think she's the only woman technician. And a lovely gentleman with salt and pepper hair. They both treated me like family and I left feeling very grateful. Also I love that they check everything which for me as a single woman means a lot because I have an old car. Great place! They are always busy and for good reason! Apollo is a gentleman. Professional, attentive, and kind. They were quite obviously understaffed today, and I witnessed him handle a GROWN woman (from Florida's) volatile temper tantrum with class and grace. I don't have a clue about how much he gets paid but it definitely wasn't enough to deal with what he dealt with today. Despite the chaos around him, he maintained his composure and got us in and out quickly and with care. Staff was exceptional. Had a leaking Ford plastic oil plug in which they weren't able to do the service because they didn't have the plug in stock. However they did top off and fill off all my fluids at no extra charge. Apollo is always so kind and professional and the whole team is always quick and thorough. Today at about 5 pm while I was there it was only Apollo and I believe the kids name was mike, and there were quite a few cars lined up in both lanes. I was first to get serviced but while I was inside both lanes on either side opened up and Apollo called for the first car in the second lane to come in bay 1 and for the lady that was behind me to pull into bay 3. The lady then began to go absolutely crazy and flip out and call Apollo and the guy now in bay 1 racist and demanded a free oil change while refusing to listen to anyone trying to talk to her or calm her down. Apollo handled the whole situation very professionally and even helped the lady first and fast just like she wanted even though she was second in line. She was threatening to sue the company and file a complaint saying that this was a racial issue when in fact the whole ordeal was because she was ignorant and the whole situation could have been avoided if she had just listened to Apollo's directions. read more

Pulled in at 5:56pm last Tuesday fully expecting them to turn me away (close at 6pm) and they didn't. I was in the area for a doctor appointment and I really needed an oil change so figured I would try them after I looked it up and found all the other places say that they close at 4:30 or 4:45. They were really nice, took me right away. Showed me the menu and I got the cheapest where they do the other fluids too. I asked for new wiper blades and opted for the basics because the fancy ones are long and might bow on my trucks windshield. They showed me the filter and said I could use it at least two more times. They did everyhing in under 10 minutes and it cost around $65 - can't remember exactly, but that's around what the going rate is in the Cape, so I was okay with it. Maybe the trick is to hit them right at closing? They told me that if a car pulls in one second before closing they have to take you. Rock! Check the hours before you go -they are shorter on tbe weekend. read more

They'll push for a new air filter, windshield wipers, etc. and try to sell their most expensive oil change, but that's standard for every place like this. If you only want an oil change, just stick to that. I went on a Saturday and had to wait a while - close to half an hour. But once it was my turn, I was in and out really fast. Everybody there was extremely nice and welcoming, which I liked. Also, a woman worked on my car, which was awesome - it made me instantly like them even more. I also got a very nice coupon in the mail for my next oil change. I hate garages where you (as in women) feel uncomfortable, so I'm happy as a clam when I leave one and feel good because no one's a jerk. I tried getting my oil changed at the Mazda dealership but theyre booked A WEEK OUT. i found jiffy lubes number, I called asking for a simple oil change. They said come on down, we'll take you right in! I pull up, they wave me in. I was asked if this was my first time in. Everyone was more than polite and extremely professional. I received a tour and was guided to the waiting area that was clean, updated, current magazines. Within 2 minutes of siting there, the mechanic showed me to my car to overview what they will be doing which is excellent. So many times I have been over charged by mechanics who are "doing you a favor" by fixing things without your permission and then getting charged for it. Thats wrong. These people get it. I went to this Jiffy lube from Sandwich as it was open to 7 pm. Got there at 6.30pm 2 cars ahead of me. A tech comes out and tells me that the two cars ahead of me were the last 2 and I was refused service. I left and called the store I asked what they closed. I was told 7.00pm. I said then why was I refused service at 6.30PM silence on the phone. I will be calling the manager and never returning. I'll go to Mashpee. read more

So I'm driving around on a hot August day on Cape Cod in my 40yo Jeep. It's Sunday. I notice that my engine's making a weird sound and is acting sluggish. We get to our destination and I notice that the oil pressure is way low. Again, this is Sunday. Mid-summer. Cape Cod. After a bunch of calls, I realize there's only one spot open -- a national chain a few miles away. So we go there, I'm down 2.5 quarts! They top me off, and guess what: NO CHARGE!!! The lady claimed that pine needles and leaves were on my air filter after she removed it from inside my glovebox (after I told her to put the filter back in the car. I noticed her little pile of debris near the door that she puts on the unsuspecting Mark) I had my kid with me so I couldn't make a scene ....the Hustle is in full swing here...just needed an oil change. My car has over 200K. ...make sure you've got your guard up... Management must be in on this scam? The mechanic's got into a verbal altercation that we watched from inside the waiting room while working on my car. I was Just trying to get my oil changed and I should have pulled the car as I watched them fight. The mechanic working on my car was rude and angry and I was then told that my oil cap was stripped and they refused to try to open it for liability purposes. Pretty sure the mechanic stripped it in his fit of anger because they sent him home in the middle of my oil change. Mistake going there today and will absolutely never go back.
