- Sketchy ambience at night. While pumping gas, the pump was suddenly stopped (by the staff). They should know it's unsafe to cause guests interruption or nuisance late at night with sketchy prowlers about. - Furthermore, a suspicious vehicle had just pulled up at the shop entrance, blocking my way to the store. Weird. I'd have to walk around that all-window-tinted, suspiciously quiet, discreet vehicle to enter the shop and ask the clerk why they stopped my gas. No one got out of that car. This place was highly recommended some friend of mine at my work . Although i read the reviews not convince to trust the owner by the name of jimmy i still try to visit their place cost his supervisor MR. R used to be a co - worker gave me a an estimate to replace my front strut . I did purchase a complete front strut assembly thru online . So Mr. R gave me an estimate for labor to install the struts for $120 . once i arrived at the gas station as soon has Mr. R drop me to go back at my work Jimmy stop us and told us that the price for each front left and right side are $80 each side so the total is $160 . i was kind a shock but because i'm rushing to go to work i agree but my feeling is that i was ripped off by this guy jimmy . Go for a second opinion if they tell you that you need service!!!! I went for an oil change, which is a decent price. I went to get breakfast down the way and I get a call from them saying my brakes needed to be serviced. I asked for the brake pad thickness(since I've worked in Automotive for 15 years) and he replied, "you have 10 percent". Again I asked for the measurement and he said, "the pad is paper thin". So I get the price and go back to the store where I purchased the pads and thought it was weird that the premium Brembo Pads I bought only lasted a year were worn down. So I went back to this place to have them do the work and asked for the old parts to take care of my warranty. After I picked up my vehicle and took the parts back to the store I opened the box to check and the so called "paper thin" pads were well over 50%!!!! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! Jimmy the manager will charge for genuine OEM parts, but will install a knock-off brand. I took my car in to have the knock sensors replaced. My car is very sensitive to knock sensors, so I very specifically asked for DENSO brand sensors. I was charged for DENSO, and told that was what was in the engine. I got about 3 miles from this place after they "fixed" it only to have the engine light come back on. I took it back to have it looked at 2 more times, but Jimmy couldn't solve the problem and told me I needed a new engine. haha I have a 1MZ-FE which goes for 300,000 miles at a minimum. It's practically bullet-proof mechanically speaking. I brought my car to the Lexus dealer the next day, and they discovered the parts that Jimmy installed were not DENSO. Lexus then put in the DENSO sensors, and voila, car runs smooth and normal. No more engine light. I went back to Sunshine Mobil and spoke to Jimmy. I kindly asked for a refund and showed him proof of the counterfeit parts he installed, the 1 year or 12,000 mile warranty on parts that is displayed on his receipt, and also showed him what a real DENSO knock sensor looks like. The two sensors he put in didn't have DENSO printed on them, and they weren't even the same uniform color. He refused to honor his warranty, nor would he refund for the parts. He only offered up a slew of excuses on why he wouldn't. After that I yelled at him for robbing me. I wanted his other customers to hear what Jimmy pulled. Hopefully a few of them took note. I have been coming here for the last couple of years now. Why? Because I trust their repairs. I've also watched them repair my Hyundai, Camry, and Corolla. Never came back with the same problem. That is a great thing. Some of my repairs included my clutch on the Hyundai, Catalytic Converter off the Camry, tires off the Corolla. Not only do they give me great repairs, they have great customer service and great prices. Thats the bottom line with a mechanic and a gas station. So I keep coming back here. OK, you're saying WTF? Lord Cujo, why a gas station? As the saying goes, look before you leap... If your passing through this area, keep this place in mind due to the two things we shop for when gassing up. 1) Gas at an affordable price. 2) Location. 3) Gas quality. When speeding along the 405, between Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach, and you need to fill-up, stop at this Mobile Station on the South-East corner of Warner & Magnolia. The price of gas is less than any gas station within a mile off the freeway off ramp. Conventional wisdom will show the price of gas is usually high around these off ramps. Not here, they are always less than the competing Chevron (across the street) and Shell (down the street). The location is easily found off the freeway, in a well-lit area. I've known the area well enough to say it's a low-crime area (come on, it's the OC!) HB and FV police cruise the area and have never had a transient incident at this locale. The station also has a late-night market for those impulse items (candy, coffee, Red Bulls/Rockstars, sodas...condoms-oops my bad LOL!) The window squeegees do work and the paper towels are always full. The pumps and air stations actually work, but always check the credit/debit slot for any funny stuff i.e. skimmers. Also, word of the wise - opt for the credit option that asks for zip code, instead of your pin code to avoid any electronic crime. Sorry, no intel on the condition of the restrooms. As for gas quality, take care of your car. We're in Southern California so you do need to get around. Let's leave the Valero and ARCO gas out of this. You get what you put in your car with the forementioned gas and the longterm effects. You don't see NASCAR using this to promote on their cars do you? Quality gas = better running car + better gas mileage between fillups. read more

I've had work done on my 1999 Lexus rx300 there and so far I've been Happy with the results. I did have one issue after they replaced my Timing belt but I took it back and Jimmy agreed the issue was related To the timing belt they replaced and fixed the problem. The prices are Much better then dealer would charge. I will be going back when my car needs service again. read more

I wish we could give negative stars on yelp, because this place would earn it. I usually come here for my oil change with no issues but the last two times have been a nightmare. My oil light turned on saying it was low oil, but I had only driven about half of the mileage I normally did before I needed another oil change. My bf checked it, and it was definitely low so we added more oil and took it back to them. They told me there was no leak and that it was just my car burning oiI, I have a 2008 Lexus IS250, and everyone I talked to told me it shouldn't be burning that much oil since it's fairly new. I went back to get another oil change, to see if it was really my car or the service I was getting. After my oil change, I drove down the freeway to get some boba, parked, checked my oil and it was low. It wasn't at the line it was supposed to be at, not even close. I brought my car back, they checked it and it was low, so they pulled it in to see what was going on. A couple minutes later, they brought it out saying that it was because my car needed to be on different surface levels, they didn't even lift my car up. So, you're saying oil magically appeared despite the fact that it was low before you brought it into the shop, and that driving up and down the freeway was not enough of a surface difference? I don't really see the surface difference from outside the shop to driving it into the shop. The owner then continued to talk down to me, basically saying I don't know what I'm talking about and that I was wrong. He continued arguing with me loudly outside of the store....Learn some manners and some customer service while you're at it. read more

I WILL NEVER GO HERE EVER AGAIN!! BUYER BEWARE!! I took my 2001 Mitsu to get a simple smog check. The owner Jimmy looked at my car like he had never seen one in his life. He asked me where the traction control button on my car was located because he could not but it on the scale without bypassing the traction control. His search for the traction control switch was like an Easter egg hunt! He looked in the owners manual, called his buddies over to search for it and even called the dealership. After about 30 minutes of Jimmy's incompetence and messing with my car I was ready to go. He said that he has not done a smog on my type of car since 2009 and to take it somewhere else. As I was about to leave, I noticed the the check engine light had "just" come on out of nowhere! Now I'm getting upset.... I told Jimmy that whatever he was fiddling around with must have caused the check engine light to appear. Of course he took no responsibility to it and said it was just a coincidence. Yeah right! The light has not been on in over 2 flipping years and now all of a sudden it appears AFTER Jimmy fucks with my car! I don't think so! He said I can't prove that he caused the light to go on and also said that NOW the car would FAIL the smog because the light is on! Are you flipping kidding me?!?! THIS MAN IS A CRIMINAL! I said "ok" then give me the code so we can see just why the light went on right here and now. He said that he would have to run a diagnostic on the car and it would cost me $60! LMAO! I told him that he was out of his mind if he thought I was going to pay him a penny for something he did especially after showing his level of incompetence. Again he was very rude and told me to take my car somewhere else (with the new problems he had just created!) I told him I was leaving and that he had better hope that I can reset the check engine light or I would be back with a law suite! Jimmy I don't know how you look at yourself in the mirror everyday...maybe you don't. You must have failed you auto repair exam because if you had any knowledge about cars you would have known that in 2001 traction control switches were not located in the car. You have to go under the hood to the ABS and take out the fuse to bypass it. (it took me all of 30 seconds to find that out on Google!) Anyway, I was able to reset the check engine light and took it Smog City where it passed its smog with flying colors in under 10 minutes and for cheaper that what this asshole and crook was charging! Beware! Someone tried to use my credit card here without my permission! Called my bank and it was suspicious activity.

I brought my car in for an oil change. They removed my air filter and said it needed replacement (they did not even show me the filter), I said no to replacing it. When they were done I paid for services rendered and left. Several hours after I left the shop my check engine light came on. Since it was after business hours I waited till the next day to call them and discuss bringing it back. On the phone the person consistently insisted the light had nothing to do with their work and said "It is not us, don't bring the car here". Due to his utter rudeness and defiance to my problem I thought their opinion would not change even if I took my car back to them. I then took my car to an AAMCO shop to utilize their Free Check Engine Light coupon. The computer registered a EVAP problem, which off the bat we figured was not Mobil's fault. Upon repair it was discovered that the "Air filter horse was unplugged and PLACED under the box (not even plugged into anything), 1 EVAP hose was plugged into air filter box". The Mobil Tech unplugged two hoses to reach the air filter and did not replace them correctly, keep in mind one of the hoses wasn't even plugged in. This repair cost me $135. When I went back to the Mobil Station the Repair Shop Owner/Manager ignored how I was treated originally on the phone and said "you should have brought it back anyways". I tried to explain that I wouldn't come back after they were so rube. He brushed me off by trying to offer 1 Free oil change. I replied by saying I would never trust my car with his shop again. The last thing he said to me was "maybe you should have had your boyfriend bring it back since he knows more about cars". I was insulted at the implication that I needed a man to work out my problems. read more

This place is horrible! My ill father took his truck there for maintenance and he was quoted a certain amount and time period for it to be fixed. Well they exceeded their quote by 2 weeks and are trying to charge us double for the work. They obviously did not fully access the situation because they did additional work that jacked up the price. Well if my dad was properly quoted in the first place for the work that needed to be done, he would have taken his truck to a different shop.This truck is my fathers disability truck, he needs it to get around and to his appointments and now the shop is holding it hostage due to the additional charges they are trying to give us.
