This is particularly true of coffee and other beverage options which cover everything from frozen drinks to an impressive amount of flavored coffees. For goods like chips, soda, beef jerky, etc. there's also a better than average selection at fairly reasonable prices. I also like how the gas pumps were pretty good here and there was plenty of spacing between each station. With several options for filling up gas off the highway, the size and setup of this Travel Center makes it one of my preferred options.

Unfortunately after all of the questions, I had to see the cashier, leave my driver's license and credit card while I refuels. I did not think I was in Gary, IN but it sure felt like it at this station. The station was very understaffed, only one at the counter tending to 6 customers. Each trucker has to go through a long winded process before they can go back and refuel. It seemed so inefficient. While I had not needed a restroom break, 30 minutes in, I best just make a stop as well. Wasting 30 minutes at a simple refueling stop is such a waste of time, considering my journey was a 2.5 hour run. Imagine every stop on a 10 hour trip! There might be a better option along the way. Might feel safer too. Glad I did not stop here in the evening I think it'll get sketchier when the sun is down.

It's winter time and my tire was already severely low so I limped my car over to Speedway and Destiny and April went out of their way during a busy day to assist me with getting my tire refilled. Super odd when I've bought these at this location before, but whatever I guess ... so I bought the same item but in a different flavor which oddly WAS in the system. I asked why they couldn't just sell me the other flavor since it's the same price and they said they aren't allowed. Okay ... fine I guess ... so take it off the shelf. Which is why I suggested "hey, you guys should take that off the shelf then, there's a whole row of it" the lady clerks response was "AS I SAID, we aren't allowed to touch it so we can't take it off the shelf" her attitude is why I'm writing this review. Why am I being treated like shit cuz of your lack of common sense? As I walked out they laughed at me ... huh ? Unreal.

Glorified gas stations like this dot the country, occupying the places between places... Crossroads, by-ways, junctions. This one has a decent selection of beer, cold drinks, the usual heat-lamped foodstuffs, fried God knows when ago, and washed down with a big extra-caffeinated coffee or a jumbo styrofoam cup fountain drink. Clean restrooms, decent trucker section, though I have to admit, I haven't ratchet-jawed with my brothers on the eleven meter band in a few whiles, no doubt. 3s and 8s and all them good numbers on ya, and we're 10-8 and back quiet. Cute girl working the counter. I liked her paint, and told her so. She didn't blush when she told me I had pretty eyes. I ain't pretty, dear. Big parking lot in the back for turning around your camper or trailer, especially when you don't do that for a living. Pretty easy access to the highway.
