I was literally 56 miles approximately from my tank being empty. So I decided to take my chances and head down the road to Sunniland Country Store. This store/station is about 40 miles from the Miccosukee Service station so needless to say as I drove along with a strong headwind pushing hard against my car and I saw the gas gauge inch closer and closer to "E" I started to sweat. Mainly since I turned off the air conditioner to conserve gas but also because I had never been that close to running out of gas. This station is a bit off I-75 by ten miles so I chugged along towards the station and I see lightning and dark clouds in the distance. I made it to the station and the gas was reasonably priced but the gas comes out at a snail's pace. It trickles into the take at 0.00000001 gallons per hour. Only kidding but it was super slow and the dark clouds continues to make their way closer and closer. I didn't have time to go into the store but there is plenty of space around the lot to picnic or park in the shade if needed. I was able to pay at the pump. Finally the tank was full and I peeled out burning rubber to make it back to I-75 and escape the storm. So, I'm thankful I made to this station and that they were open because I really wouldn't have had any other choice had they been closed or the tanks out of order. I ended up running into the storm anyway near Sarasota but at least I had gas even if I couldn't see through all the rain.

The strongest appeal to a Wawa is their food counter which puts a lot of their emphasis on their subs. Since Wawa is from the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, Wawa calls these sandwiches "hoagies." Whether you want to call it a hoagie or a sub, they are still pretty good, especially when compared to the food at other gas stations. My go-to sub (or hoagie) is their Italian, though I have had their cheesesteaks more than once. I wiuod definitely recommend either of these subs (or hoagies). In addition to their subs (or hoagies), Wawa slots offers several other items from this food area. They also have the usual convenience store items inside. All in all, I will give this particular location five stars.

The pumps were all clean and there's more than enough parking for when I wanted to run inside. I decided to grab a couple croquettes and a toastada from one of the kiosks inside. While it did take a bit of time (because I think they forgot to press the bread) it was amazing, all the food. The croquettes were massive and flavored perfectly for both the ham and queso ones I got. The toast had a perfect amount of butter on it and a wonderful crunch to the crust!
