A couple years ago, I'd always get mailings for items for a low cost at Murphy. Whether that was a 5 cent lighter or a bottle of water for half the price, I'd always be intrigued at their business flyers. Unfortunately, the only one I would ever see was in Marco Island. When this Murphy was built on Six Mile, I thought "Woohoo! I can stack up on nickle Bics and gas my car all in one shot!". I thought wrong. Six months before opening, all flyers ceased. Oh well, I didn't need money off my liquid libation anyway.
It seems that this gas station is on par with others in the area - the price war that goes on to get people to fill their tanks is standard operation. When I was gassing up a car on August 19, 2018, the price per gallon was $2.59. In I go, attempt to put fuel in the Hyundai.
What is causing this to be a 3 star review is the simple fact that the pump wasn't working so great. I had a little more than half a tank, so it's not like I needed much. However, from the first triggering, the pump kept stopping every 2 seconds, as if my car was completely full (not even a gallon went in at first). I don't know what it was sensing, but I had to keep releasing the handle and pressing it again, in order to get $10 worth of gas. It ended up filling the car, but wasn't worth the problems given.
Will I be back to try again? More than likely, as there will be more times I'm passing by that station, so I'll definitely try it another time. read more
