I believe that customer service is important at any establishment. More important in fact then the food they serve. The woman at the front counter was extremely rude to not just myself, but pretty much everyone else there. I really wish I knew her name so this doesn't become a blanket statement about everyone who works here. I hope the owners take notice though, and have a very basic training to teach their employees to treat customers with respect. I won't ever be coming back however to find out. Gelato - gelato - gelato! ... and an Espresso (with gelato). If you feel like an ice-cream hit do NOT go past this place. All the flavors we tried were scrumptious! Our favorite was definitely the Bourbon Caramel. We ordered the small cups and they came overflowing with two flavor scoops. More ice-cream than expected. Glad we didn't order the larger serving. Highly recommended after a big day if hiking, rafting or 4WDing. read more

Man! What a good experience. Up until I accidentally grabbed the wrong drink. Don't get me wrong, that was MY bad. My acknowledgments of mistake were not taken kindly. Once I grabbed the wrong drink, it wasn't long until I realized. I immediately turned around and took it back in to explain. To my surprise, the man behind the counter making the drinks asked "well, what did you have...." I ordered a dirty chai iced latte and picked up the drink before mine, which was a regular iced chai latte(with no name label... this part is important in a sec.) this dude starts speaking to me as if I was an idiot, explaining that those two drinks are completely different drinks and that mine was actually being made in that moment and has my name on it. So I had said, "yes, I understand and that's why I came in here to explain I grabbed the wrong one by mistake." - I had to say this, calmly more than once just for this guy to stop treating me like a piece of shit. He then proceeded to speak loudly at me in reference that the next time I come in I should listen to the drink with my name on it. Obviously I told him we don't need to worry about the "next time I come in" because I don't spend my money at establishments that treat people unkindly when it absolutely holds no weight to the situation. Here's where I am coming from... the drinks were NOT "completely different". And the one I grabbed had NO name called along with it or labeled on the cup. The only way someone would be able to tell the difference would be the shade of liquid in lieu of the extra shot. Along so that person isn't color-blind. Everyone else working was pleasant and the place was cool for a little tourist town. But the rude guy behind the counter needs to take a nap and come back into work with a new face to the day. Choose kindness next time, roaster-man. I know customer service can be frustrating. Either step up or work in an office that is not people facing. read more

Very rude staff. After buying a coffee and bagel, I worked on my computer outside with my dog. The coffee shop had closed down in the middle of the day because they could not keep up with the line. When I went inside to use the restroom, I was approached by a worker who rudely told me they did not have a public restroom and I need to leave. After informing him I am in fact a customer, he raised his voice and asked if I understand what being closed means (even though there were several customers still sitting inside working on their laptops). He locked the front door and made me leave through the back. I felt disrespected and regret ever spending money at this establishment. Very disappointing. read more

We've been here twice now. After the first time, we agreed we wouldn't go back. However, after walking to Moab Garage and finding them closed (insert big sad face HERE), we agreed to try the coffee here once more. Big, sad mistake. First, they forgot our order. After they'd made three sets of customers drinks who'd ordered after us, I strolled to the counter and asked if they'd remembered our 2 lattes, one with an extra shot. "Oh yeah, we're making them"- said in a tone as if I'm just being impatient. Then I was told they'd forgotten the extra shot, so through gross looking (and terrible tasting) foam, they poured it in. "It's a half macchiato", they laughingly informed me. At the risk of being an annoying yelper (ode to south park) this place was a waste of money .... and 20 minutes of our time. If you're looking for vegan/gf/df pastries you have to check these guys out! I got a maple frosted donut & it was unreal. I also ordered a smoothie & it was so refreshing in that Moab heat The cafe ambience was homey & they have the cutest mugs for sale, my boyfriend even bought a shirt! Was happy to see that this coffee shop opened the week we happened to stop in. They didn't have a huge food section unfortunately as far as breakfast sandwiches and burritos but they were offering toasted assorted bagels so I got a everything flavored one. Their beverage menu was pretty expansive. You can get anything from an Americano to a chai latte or matcha latte. I tried out their matcha with oat milk sweetened with honey and it was so good! Wish I got a bigger size lol I was also happy to see they were a roaster as well so they were offering bags of their whole coffee beans with many varieties. I picked what looked like the most popular one- Sunrise Medium toast from Ethiopia and Mexico. I love finding and supporting local coffee shops when I can. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming as well. Hope to come by here again in the future read more

It would be hard to believe that locals or anyone go here twice. They don't make anything there nothing fresh, everything is shipped in from somewhere else, Utah, Rocky Mountain chocolates and even US Foods. We tried a baked good that looked like a donut but tasted like wet tasteless cornbread with artificial sweetener frosting on top..very odd. The iced matcha was average we make a way better one at home and the iced mocha was not very good it tasted like they added Hershey's cocoa powder and called it a day. I don't know what's special about this place except for the location maybe but I hope they have better places to go for coffee and baked goods in Moab. read more

It's ok I guess. Coffee is just sort of bland. No better/no worse than your average Starbucks.

Main reason for the 2 star is the poor service received on our 2nd visit to this business. First visit we purchased $60 worth of gifts, chocolates, and coffee and enjoyed much of this. One coffee we ordered was particularly much sweeter than we usually liked but still drank it and enjoyed it. We made a second visit to this business the next day and purchased a smoothie and a lemon bar (which was extremely soft and sticky) and also ordered the same coffee. We specifically requested to make the drink much less sweet, and once we started drinking it after walking out the door realized it was STILL way too sweet. We returned inside to request that we add straight cold brew coffee to the drink but was refused and told by a male "Oh I just make those sweet" even though we made a request to make less sweet. We were told we would need to purchase a whole $6 cup of cold brew to correct our coffee that we already paid for, which we did so that we could finally enjoy this cup of iced coffee. Has potential to be 4-5 star but in the service industry, customer service is a huge part of the rating system and one individual made this a sour visit read more

Me and my wife have been coming to this place for years, along with our kids, friends, and other family members. We travel down from northern Utah at least 5-10 times a year and we have always made it a pint to come in and get coffee and other treats After our visit on February 18th 2023 we will no longer going to this establishment, or recommending to anyone! I ordered a omnivore burrito and two 20 oz white chocolate mochas. Everything was fine, the girl behind the counter was very nice and professional. After I placed my order I stood back to wait. As I waited I noticed that on the specials board it had a raspberry white chocolate mocha. I looked and noticed that the "barista" a tall man with a beard and a corncob man bun was grabbing a raspberry syrup bottle. There was no one in line in front of me that had not received their order. (The place was not busy at all.) I walked up and said "excuse me" to witch this "barista" looked at me and said very condescendingly " I can't talk to you right now" I said nothing and then he turned to the girl he was working with and said " can these people not read the sign that says no talking to the baristas? Oh, I guess we took that down." I was so furious I decided not to say a word to this very rude, very unprofessional "barista" because I did not want to lose my cool. I and my family, and anyone else I can tell will never visit Moab Coffee Roasters again! I have never in my 51 years of life been treated like that by anyone at a place of business. read more

I had a very bad experience yesterday. I ordered 3 expresso shots, a cup of ice, a little bit of the regular (cold) whole milk. I ordered it like this so that I can mix it myself. The barista told me they have to charge for the cups. I answered "that's fine. Sure, I'll pay." She entered the whole milk as "steamer." I told her I don't need the hot milk. She said "yeah, it's the same, I just entered it so that I can enter the charge." So, 3 expresso shots, small cup of ice, and a small cup of whole milk cost me $13.66, and the coffee wasn't great either. The texture was also powdery. read more

Wow the coffee is great! I got the vanilla latte every time. Pretty long lines in the morning but worth it. Great touch they do is add a few coffee ice cubes so while it melts it doesn't get watered down! We went back 3 times while we were here in Moab. read more

Well-priced, within walking distance of several downtown hotels, and open at 7am: all important qualities in a coffee shop.
