They don't care about the residents in the building and they don't have skill or respect that they should have working for people that are at a disadvantage. That place new need and fresh ideas and management because the system they have is bias and shows favoritism to those who suck up to them and caters to their egos. Bias, racism and favoritism has no place in a organization like this. Oh yeah the "kitchen managers" don't know how to cook food properly and doesn't use gloves when preparing ready to eat meals!

I have heard of this place from a friend. I looked it up and called them right away. They told me the only thing I could do is serve meal for now, I said sure. I noticed the time frame they got were mostly booked by big corporation workers, like Target. Since most of the lunch and dinner were booked the only option was breakfast. Of course since I am an early bird, I signed up. I arrived pretty e-a-r-l-y. I had to get a cup of coffee so I could be ready to work. I arrived and there was a police officer sitting by the security.Yes, they check your ID to make sure you are legit and not to bring any thing harmful to the building. If you are a visitor or volunteer person, you filled in your name and reasons for the visit. I headed downstairs where the cafeteria located. The staff was very nice to me. They explained to me what I needed to do. I served oatmeal, coffee and juice. I had to wear an apron and a hair net which makes sense. I stayed a little longer to help out cleaning the tables and floor. I was there for a little over two hours. After that I went straight to work. I had a great time talking to people coming in for food. Most of them were family in need. I really appreciate a service like this helping the community in need. I hope everyone get a chance to do something like this. Who knows you might see me there...:) (Parking lot is small)

Today, there was a "Big Problem" with the mother and the daughter that these people are so called church people, but they are very rude to people's children, disrespectful, discrimination, picky, two-faced and etc. These women kicked me and my friend out with our kids when we were leaving the parking lot to come back another month that we do need help for our families. The first reason was my 11 year old daughter was climbing on the shelves and sitting on the baby stuff which was bad and I told her not to do that and they gave us a warning ! So I didn't bring my daughter back. The big reason why they kicked me and my friend was over a stupid reason because my friend 2 year old daughter drop Tick Tacks on the cart and floor, which my friend picked it up and possibly missed one or two or smooshed because she wears glasses/contacts because she cannot see that well! I had my 6 year old son on the phone the whole time so he can be quiet/good, but that still did not make a difference for the mom and the daughter. I didn't do anything wrong, but I still got kicked out! Sorry to say but I hopekarma or God will punish them for their stupidity actions to turn their backs for people in need. I had a gut feeling/bad vibes about the mother and the daughter, these 2 ladies are two-faced/picky people!! I also think that they were discriminating me and my friend and we are white ladies with mixed kids! I want people to know, to watch your back when you go there or just don't go! As a good person would say "I hope if anybody is reading this, please pray for theses awful ladies!"

They have been seen AND HEARD by caring, knowledgeable, professional people who are taking the time to educate and help them deal with extremely personal sexualty issues. I do not know all the technical terms but I CAN tell you that after a 17 year battle with many other less sensitive healthcare professionals my child is now becoming happier, more confident, and a mentally healthier individual. My child's patner is also seen here because she has an extreme reaction to needles. Family Tree is the only resource (after 7 other facilities) to supply the accommodation necessary for her anxiety control so a blood draw could be accomplished. The clinic has gone beyond any normal standard of care. Lastly, when visiting, I appreciate the calm attitudes, the unique waiting room, and the educational materials available. It is a SAFE PLACE for all.

It's sad to hear that the Saint Paul location on Dayton avenue is closed down I went there…read moreapproximately 33 years ago I know that's quite a long time but they were so incredibly helpful and compassionate during a very troublesome and stressful time in my life I was having severe mental health issues and since my boyfriend's parents lived directly across the street I went there in midst of a psychotic crisis they treated me with complete respect and were not condescending at all they were so empathetic and one of the staff members even took the time to drive me the hospital to be checked in for a psych eval they went above and beyond even though they're now at a different location I hope that they are still doing incredible work.

These issues are in violation of the American with Disabilities Act and Minnesota Council on Disabilities service dog guidelines.

The Aliveness Project is a community center for the HIV/AIDS community within Minnesota. They…read moreservice over 1600 members (which accounts for 1/4 of the population of the state living with HIV/AIDS) with all of their member benefits as well as with community outreach. Offering lunch, dinner, and Saturday brunches it's a place to go for those dealing with the debilitating affects of HIV to be able to socialize without fearing the stigma's that are still associated with it. Aliveness also offers services like a full food shelf (with care products/food for your furry friends should you need it), Case Management services, Integrative Therapies (ie. Acupuncture, Shiatsu Anma, Healing Touch Massage, Chiropractic Services, Reiki Healing), as well as health and wellness training seminars. They have a large voice in Minnesota and look to help those that may not be able to afford help, or those that don't know where to go to seek it. Without their continued efforts hundreds of people in the Twin Cities and even rural communities would go without what most people consider to be necessity. I am proud to volunteer for an organization that does so much good, with so little!
