The Aliveness Project is a community center for the HIV/AIDS community within Minnesota. They service over 1600 members (which accounts for 1/4 of the population of the state living with HIV/AIDS) with all of their member benefits as well as with community outreach.
Offering lunch, dinner, and Saturday brunches it's a place to go for those dealing with the debilitating affects of HIV to be able to socialize without fearing the stigma's that are still associated with it.
Aliveness also offers services like a full food shelf (with care products/food for your furry friends should you need it), Case Management services, Integrative Therapies (ie. Acupuncture, Shiatsu Anma, Healing Touch Massage, Chiropractic Services, Reiki Healing), as well as health and wellness training seminars.
They have a large voice in Minnesota and look to help those that may not be able to afford help, or those that don't know where to go to seek it.
Without their continued efforts hundreds of people in the Twin Cities and even rural communities would go without what most people consider to be necessity.
I am proud to volunteer for an organization that does so much good, with so little!
