She gave me suggestions on timing, how many people to hire, and how things work with the servers and bartenders. I hired two servers (Nicole & Kym) and one bartender (Arman). This was my first time having any type of help at a party and I must say I can never go back to doing things on my own again! All three staff members showed up early, enthusiastically, and very experienced. Right off the bat the bartender set all of his stuff up, got organized, and asked my a bunch of questions about etiquette for guests and what my preferences were for certain things. I had a few cocktails I had created and he gave input on them and happily followed the recipes I requested of him. He also made sure to put aside some of the ingredients for a particular drink that eventually ran out to ensure that the guest of honor was able to try all the drinks at her special event, I really appreciated that. The servers got right to work without skipping a beat and helped create beautiful appetizers for me while I was getting dressed for the party. They took care of all the guests, helped put out food, refilled waters, aided the bartender, took care of trash, washed and dried dishes, and even a few more things. All three staff members went above and beyond all expectations and the bartender even worked together with the servers to help clean when everyone was starting to head out and drinks were no longer flowing. Special shoutout to Nicole, Kym, and Arman - they were so nice to all the guests and really took the time to be polite and interact with guests along with doing all of their duties. Payment was super simple and easy, Heather checked in at every step of the way and was very communicative even during the event itself. My wife created a spreadsheet of all the things that needed to be done and I made sure they were completed and ready to go by our wedding date. Little did we know that it was more involved than that-- despite our thorough preparation, all would have been for naught if we didn't have someone competent to execute it on the day of. Luckily we came to our senses a few months before the big day and decided to look up a wedding coordinator that would help ensure that things went smoothly. Enter Nina. Nina was our "day of" planner for our wedding in Newport Beach along with her crew. Even though she only had a few months notice before our special day, she made sure everything we've planned so far looked sound. We only hired her for the day of the wedding, but she went above and beyond and helped us from the moment we booked her. Her attention to detail is astounding, and she wasn't overbearing when it came to her opinion on what may or may not work better than the choices we've made. It was very clear that she understood that it was our special day and even with some of our more outrageous requests, she found a way to make it happen (i.e. getting our wedding party of 22 people fast food drive thru during our pictorial session after the church and before the reception. How she coordinated that and delivered at our shoot location is beyond me and was appreciated by everyone in the party bus!) On the day of, she and her team were a godsend. I honestly don't know what I was thinking when I thought my wife and I would be able to handle all that she did by ourselves, AND get married at the same time. It's physically impossible! She and her team were easy to work with and it really felt like they were everywhere when we needed them. Most of all, they were always happy to help, and you can genuinely see that they were (unlike some wedding coordinators where you can see them clenching their teeth when they ask if you need anything, lol.) Having a wedding coordinator that REALLY loves what he/she does is especially important because they will be orchestrating the whole day and be communicating with your other vendors. The last thing you need is one with an attitude that will set off a bad vibe. Nina and her girls are the kindest ones I've met yet, without sacrificing professionalism (and I've worked with many).
