Brewers Organics just started their business earlier this year. Their service differs from a CSA in that it is delivered (to your house) year round, you choose the schedule and size of your box and can change it anytime, and you have some say in what gets put in your box (up to three substitutions at this time). Oh, and the quality of the produce is guaranteed, so if you get a bad avocado or something just let them know and your account will be credited. How sweet is that?! To be honest, I just signed up this week and haven't gotten a box yet, but I'm sure I'll be updating soon about how awesome it is indeed.

You could order from Wisco Joe's regular food selections, but lucky for us, Matt was also there doing a pop-up and serving an amazing pulled pork sandwich with slaw. Both my wife and I thought it was one of the best pulled pork sandwiches we've ever had. The pork was delicious, and the slaw was amazing. Together, they made for a terrific sandwich. We don't have a need for a meal prep service right now, but the idea of using Matt for a special catered event would be something we'd definitely consider. I grabbed a business card to keep handy for the future. Hope to see him again at Wisco Joe's!

Their team was responsive, helpful and flexible in helping us achieve what we wanted for the event. We had some request that seemed like a big deal, but Sazs event planner Michelle said "no problem!" as she helped develop our menu and overall timeline for the evening. Something I appreciated was their willingness and focus on taking care of our guests with allergies/dietary restrictions. While planning was truly a breeze, the service the day of was impeccable. The staff was helpful, professional and very efficient throughout the entire evening. We had so much positive feedback on the food that evening- everyone loved the apple cider glaced short ribs, blackened swordfish and the supper club style relish trays. Saz's facilitated all communication in a timely manner regarding our tasting, final decisions, and timeline for the events. Many of our guests were going up for seconds and told us how good the food was. We went with their burger and chicken bar and there was not only plenty of food but the set up and takedown process after the event was handled with great professionalism and timeliness. For our wedding reception we could not be happier with Saz's as well! All the staff were professional and the food was amazing. We decided to go with hand passed apps for cocktail hour, family style dinner, and then a late night nacho bar. Our family and friends were going on about how great the food was and how many options they had to choose from. We would definitely recommend Saz's for anyone with either small group catering needs or a larger event/wedding reception! Thank you Katie and the Saz's team!

I've encountered The Ladle Lady a few times at the Riverwest Farmer's market, but until recently…read morehad not ordered any of her food. That changed on a recent Sunday when I could not resist her spicy cold peanut noodles. After smelling her food from a couple tents down the block, I had to order. My peanut noodles were excellent. They had quite a bit of kick to them, but good peanut balance. I missed the addition of some crushed peanut son top, but that's a tiny thing. Her portion is so generous for the price that I've had them three times now and still have some leftovers. I'd call this dish easily family sized. One caveat about this - the bowls are so full it proved very hard to eat while at the market without losing all the good crunchy veggies on top. BF tried her macaroni and cheese with pulled pork. Somehow he managed to eat it all, but the portion size again was incredible. He did not eat anything after lunch that day, being stuffed from that dish. He really enjoyed it. So now we know that we need to keep trying her amazing dishes. She seems to always have a good mix of vegetarian dishes and meat, as well as salads. Yummy stuff!
