I get my nails done on a regular basis and this is the worst job I have had yet. They lady I had do my nails was sloppy. She did a sloppy job and rushed through buffing and filing and paid no attention to detail. Each nail was crooked and they did not use a shellac top coat. She also left the white acrylic on my cuticle and base around my finger nails. The white tips had a yellow tint. I will not be going back to this nail salon and suggest you do not waste your time and money either. read more

Probably the worst pedicure I've ever had. They did not ask was shape I wanted my nails, and then cut my toenails crooked and square so they look horribly uneven. Neither lady spent any time shaping my nails or making them smooth and even. They made me feel uncomfortable and out of place and did not try to make conversation. My manicure was also not done carefully at all, gel is uneven with bumps in it. More importantly, the place lacked cleanliness or an impression of sterilization. I also caught them reusing acetone, pouring it back in the bottle when they were done. I don't get my nails done much but when I do I want to feel pampered in a clean place with a professional touch. Went in for my birthday, just to pamper myself. Of course I knew that I would end up with someone that didn't speak a lick of English, what I didn't know is that it would be his first day and apparently the first set of nails he has ever done. He asked me if I wanted the ones that were $33 or $38 and of course he said the $38 would last longer so I chose that. Well 2 and a half hours later, with the worst nails I have ever had, he charged me $45. My nails are crooked, different sizes and shapes and my fingers feel like I got them slammed in a car door. I would never recommend this place. I went in for a gel manicure. The woman stuck one hand in barely warm water and then with my other hand she says "im going to cut your nails down" then clip. Didn't give me the opportunity to say no, just clipped them I told her i didn't want them cut down and please do not cut too much off. Then on the next nail she cut even farther down. So im pretty bothered and we have only begun. The bowl of water, was just water. No cleaner, no oils, just tap water. she then cuts the crap out of my cuticles and files my nails crooked. Then she gets up and disappears into the back. While she is back there i file my own nails to make sure they were straight. The water has gone cold. 10 minutes later she comes back. I was just sitting there uncomfortable for 10 minutes. total BS. Then she puts the first layer of gel on. and puts it under the lights. when it comes out it is all bubbled and messed up. She keeps painting over it. Then she puts the pink polish on. This is a color that I have worn dozens of times. But because of how she put the undercoat on it wasn't going on right. So instead of fixing it she says oh you should have got a darker color for your nails so it wouldn't show through. ummmm nope. I've been wearing nail polish for nearly 25 years, so i think know what colors work on me. Then once she is done there is nail polish all over the ends of my fingers and underside. I said are you going to clean that off? she is like oh ok...then gets cuticle clippers and starts cutting the skin off to clean it off. literally cutting my skin off instead of getting something to wipe it off. i said could you please stop cutting my skin and wipe it off. She says no i need to cut, i said please use something to wipe the polish off. She wipes a little more then tells me im all done. There is still a ton of polish on the ends of my nails (photos shown). it was literally the worst manicure I have ever had. Then when i get to the counter I am charged $30 for something an 8 year old could have accomplished. They don't say thank you. The dude ringing me up is silent. I do not recommend this place, will never go back, and will tell everyone I know that this place does a terrible job, has zero customer service, and over charges. After a very positive experience at Pro Solar Nails, I decided - as a new resident to the area - to try MK Nails for comparison purposes. What a disaster! Without doubt, the worst gel pedicure I've ever received! The employee jabbed me several times while removing the old polish, some of the nails were jagged after trimming, the gel wasn't dried enough, and when the top coat was wiped off, the shine disappeared as well! Booked an appointment 2 weeks in advance for our wedding party of 12 to have mani's and pedi's. We got there and they were rude and acted put off that we were there. They rushed through us to get us out and did a terrible job. The price does not support the quality as it is substandard. read more

Worst visit.... I've been here once before to get my nails done which only cost 30$-40$. An I looked on their website to check prices before I went in my total should have only been around $50 for my services but they charged me 98$. Not only that they did a poor job on my nails and wouldn't fix it. An the employee that was working on me did a wax and some other things that I kept telling him no I didn't want that done I just wanted the least expensive service "just to get my nails done nothing more." but he kept telling me it was part of the service. My friend didn't even get all the same work I got done and was charged 90$. Which makes no sense to have an 8$ difference when she only had her nails done(not including the wax and everything he claimed was part of "the service"). I called today to speak to a manager and the lady I spoke to asked me "why manager" I responded I don't see why that matters. She continued and told me that she couldn't give me a manager without a name. I feel like they're trying to prevent me from speaking to management. Even when me and my friend walked out we spoke to other customers whom were regulars and they even were very AGGRAVATED with the service last night. I will never be going back here. The way that the employees take advantage of you like that just because management isn't present at the time is VERY IRRITATING!!! I still would like to speak to management but I guess we will see how that goes. I highly recommend that you NEVER GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT POOR SERVICE!!!!! Oh I didn't even mention the fact that we had made an appointment for 5:30 and a customer had walked in to ask for service. A man behind the counter asked if she had an appointment she said no. Every time I've gone to mk nails I've made an appointment and shown up on time, but every single time I wait at least 45 min to an hour and a half.. they take walk ins and sit them down and make those who schedule appointments wait, makes no sense. My friend and I had a terrible experience at this place. I don't write reviews often at all but this place deserves one. My friend and I were told we could get pedicures at the same time " right away" and were sat in the pedicure chairs with very cold water in the basins for 45 minutes before anyone came to start our services. Then only one person came and started mine. My friend sat for another 20 minutes with cold water. I asked my girl to warm my water 3 times before I gave up. Then after she got the wax and wet towels on me she left to start a manicure on someone else. I sat with wet towels that got cold and had to take them off myself after 15 minutes. We watched 5 other people come in with appointments who were told the same as us, "yes sit down, one minute" and they all waited 30 minutes or longer to get their services even started. I have been going to MK nails for about two and a half years. Not only do my nails (both mani and pedi) look amazing, but I have never been cut. I find the salon to be a great deal cleaner than many in the area, and I can usually walk in and be in a chair within 10 minutes. Tiffany is amazing for nails. Really disappointed with this place. Got the dip (SNS nails) done, and was almost immediately thrown off by the process. The guy who did them didn't have the decency to do my cuticles whatsoever!! They made me bleed! Don't go here. I wish I would have spent more time on the reviews before going here. My friend and I were going out for a real treat (she was treating me to it, actually, because my preggo feet are tired!) We arrived right when they opened and a man seated us. My friend's chair was broken so she was sinking in and she asked to move but they didn't really respond so she dealt with it. First, my friend was seated with a girl that had to have been 15 (she looked younger- hard to tell). She was being instructed during the massage the whole time and my friend said her hands were freezing and she wasn't pressing hard at all. My massage was awesome, and everything was going normally until she started filing/buffing my nails. She was going so fast and vigorously that she sliced by cuticle on my big toe. I yelled ouch!! She stopped and it instantly started bleeding. There was blood on the buffer and she just set it down casually next to the lady next to me's things. She put a cotton ball on and just continued with my other foot. I was NOT happy and I was in pain. The owner (or who I presume is the owner) came over and asked me if it stung and I said yes. She put some stuff on it and walked away. My technician started to put the masque/hot wax stuff on my feet and I asked her to stop. She did the other foot. I kept telling her I did not want polish anymore. She started to do it anyway so I had to be firm and say DONE! Meanwhile, my friend's young technician got up halfway through the pedicure and left, and my friend sat there while her feet were in cold water before she had to call someone over to help her. The man started painting her nails and did about as well as a 5 year old would. Seriously. I attached a photo. There is a stripe down the middle of her toe, it's on her skin, and he missed a spot entirely. We got up and wanted to get the heck out of there. We went up to the counter and the man asked us if we were paying together or separately. We politely let him know we would NOT be paying for my pedicure as it wasn't close to finished, I was bleeding still and in pain, and couldn't put a shoe on even. He stood there and kept telling us the cost of two. My friend paid for hers (she really shouldn't have) and he stood there with our change waiting for us to tell him how much to tip. VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Went in for a pedicure and had to go back a second time to the pedi chair in order for the tech girl to get my heels really clean and remove the callouses after I had told her in the beginning I wanted my callouses removed. Then I had the SNS Dipping Powder Nails applied and they turned out horrible! Half of my nails had tiny bubbles all over them and the other have were not shiny and have a rough, smudged feel and look to them. The employees were very nice but they do not do a good job. I'm normally not a person to leave a review but I think this one is justified. So I went in yesterday, 08/28/19 for a dip manicure for my birthday and let me tell you how unprepared I was to cry at the sight of the disappointment that I paid for. My nail tech, who never told me his name and never talked just aggressively rotated my hands like a rag doll. My natural nails had some good length to them as well as a squoval shape. I asked for that shape and ended up with nubs for nails that were grossly unsymmetrical and lopsided on every finger. I didn't notice that until I go to my car. Then that's when I noticed that there were dust specks or air bubbles scattered on each nail, so they aren't smooth at all. Additionally, my cuticles weren't pushed back so I'm on day two and it already looks like a weeks work of growth. I'm sitting here confused about why I left a tip and why I even paid. I was so uncomfortable from the moment I walked in and all the males talking about how to "get swole" and what 24-pack of Juul pods they got also really killed the vibe. 12/10 would not recommend. read more

Went there with my sister today. Pedi started out nice but didn't end well. I picked a crackle polish (and wasn't told that it was an extra $5) and then they didn't use it right. I ended up with toes that didn't look the same at all. He fixed one but complained about it. If I would have known the crackle was extra I would have said no! Let alone paid extra for it not to be done correctly. My sister wanted glitter over the top of hers and got one glob of glitter not even smoothed out. He didn't even bother painting her small nail. Let me just start by saying if i could give negative reviews i would! This place was horrible! I went here on a verbal recommendation from someone at work. My husband and i went, i wanted hard gels, NOT shellac, my husband got a spa pedi. The atmosphere was very tensed and rushed, the people were very rude. I asked for a price list before we started and my guy pretended to not understand English very well, and someone else came to answer my question and when i asked again she nodded at me and said she would be back... she never came back with prices nor was i given a price. Because of my job i need to have hard gels on, shellac only lasts a couple of days, i asked 3 times to confirm it was NOT shellac, was told it was hard gel. The bottle was covered with washi tape so that i couldn't read anything on it, and my manicurist kept playing dumb with English. He cut multiple cuticles and was very rough during the filing, left many sharp corners, i had to tell him multiple times to refile the nails. The shellac job was so awful it had bumps and streaks that i had him reapply on different nails before i let him put the last clear coat on. Then at the end of the appt we were charged $58 for a gel polish and a plain ass spa pedi with nothing special and definitely no polish on my husbands toes. When i asked for the breakdown of the services, or a brochure with prices on it there were more people playing dumb with how to communicate with me. Fine so i paid it and left. The next day at the end of my shift, i had TWO chipped nails... So i called asking about the gell/shellac issue, was told they don't carry hard gels. So then i asked if i could come in and get my nails fixed since i paid so much for not what i wanted in the first place. Was told "sure, we charge you half price" WTF! Absolutely not! So that's when i started shopping around and found Pink Poppy Nails, Everyone should go there. Also because of Oregon law everyone has to have their own nail files for hygienic issues, however NONE of the other shared equipment is cleaned in anyway.. Disgusting. read more

This nail salon is under new management and some new nail techs who are horrible. I got my nails done a simple refill on a Monday night I commute and hold temporary residency in Maryland for graduate school. On Tuesday when I went to class my nail just broke, I was very confused given I had just done them the night before. My time is very limited when I'm in Connecticut and I had to return the following weekend to not only explain what happened but to be told there's a 30 min wait for a one nail repair and I need to pay for it being that it's been over three days. The lack of consideration amazes me if this was the previous owner who is still the current owner of TJ Nails in Bridgeport she would have never held the customer liable especially when she was the one that did the job. After this one nail repair I won't be back. Good luck to those who still choose this overpriced ( because there mall rent is high ) under performed nail/spa! read more

I have several things to complain about MK nails. I had two cuts on my cuticle area and the lady working on my nails GLUED the cuts together!! To not waste their products they make some very flat acrylic nails. When the lady asked me what nail shape I would like I asked for a short coffin and apparently, they charge an extra $5.00 fee to give you a coffin shape. Also, the acrylic looked bumpy and I had to instruct the "Nail tech," where to file my nails with the e-file. Also, I asked for regular polish and noticed they barley have nail polish colors to choose from. To make money they kept trying to force me to use Gel "it's better." If a client asks for something they want then that is what they should get. Also, they do not sanitize their tools... if you want infections this is the perfect place to visit. When they got to painting my nails I was able to see a lot of mistakes on the nails. First, once the lady finished painting my nails it already looked like I needed a fill. Second, with the polish on I was able to see that the coffin I asked for was more of a skinny square.. for that I paid an extra $5? Third, I waited for the nail polish to dry for about an hour and a half in the salon. Before I even left the salon I had noticed chipping and smudges on my nails. So I did complain. The guy in the front desk and the lady started yelling at me because I was not happy about my nails. The guy removed all the nail polish with cotton leaving all my fingers dark blue and full of cotton. And he re-painted them with cotton on them and without filling the nails. I had to wait another 2 hours for them to dry. And I still had to pay full price they offered no discount or apology. Even after leaving my nails were not completely dry and had smudges on them and blue everywhere. This would be my first and last time going to this salon. Other places do a beautiful job for the same price. Never have I experienced RUDE customer service such as this place. read more

Very disappointed in how I was treated the last two visits... I had been to this location almost a dozen times and the customer service just seems to get worse instead of better. Where is the manager? No one seems to know what is going on or who should be helping who. I came in for a pedicure and manicure. I had gel polish on my nails so the man began to remove the polish from my nails after my pedicure but while I was still in the pedicure seat. He was very rushed and I told him a couple times I would be getting a manicure after my pedicure, he had used the (drill bit thing-not sure the name but it buffers your polish off leaving your nails looking funky) He went to send me on my way like that, I again told him I was getting a manicure with new color and he was very agitated. He passed me on to two different people and I felt like they were all irritated because they had another lady waiting. I told them before I took a seat what I wanted, if they didn't have time I would have been happy to come back. I went here upon moving to Bend because of the great reviews here on Yelp. I will not be going back unless it's a dire acrylic nail emergency. The fill was haphazard and she was too quick with the Dremel, which on older/thinner nails can be hot and/or painful. And she did not bother to follow the old shape or ask what shape I wanted and went ahead and made my nails almost pointed. I went home immediately and filed them down. Horrible! I went to get a pedicure because I'm pregnant and my feet hurt. I was super excited to just pamper myself for a little bit. Staff works on multiple people at a time just so they can get more business in the door. It looked busy so I asked how long it would be, and they told me they could get me in right away. I sat there for over an hour to get a pedicure, so of course, the water was cold and gross by the end of it. Pretty sure they don't sterilize their instruments because they used the same clippers, cuticle nippers, etc. on the lady next to me without even washing them off. Gross! Before they painted my toes, they cracked them, and now my toes are sore. I went in there to make my feet feel better, not worse! When they finally painted my toes, they didn't even do that great of a job. Never going back!! Don't waste your time or money!! read more

My friend and I went in for Mani-Pedis. The place is very clean, nicely decorated, and tons of options! My friend had a great gel manicure and spa pedicure. I had a good job done for me. However, the man was not coming across very friendly and seemed a little aggressive in getting your hands or feet into position for him to work on.
