There was another negative review by someone else about Dr. Adams and his use of the DNA appliance, and that also appears to have been removed. I hope people don't rely solely on Google reviews. According to another reviewer, her negative review was removed there and followed immediately by a stellar review. Here, again, is my review. I was oversold on the DNA appliance by Dr. Gary Adams. It cost $10K, and made no visible change -- which is what I came to him for. My back teeth are somewhat better aligned, but I never would have paid for that since I had no functional issues. He never told me that this appliance is used exclusively for people with sleep apnea and TMJ, neither of which I have. (His website at the time I sought treatment didn't indicate this either; it focused on the appliance's ability to grow bone.) I used the appliance exactly as prescribed -- I was trying to correct a slight underbite -- and it did absolutely nothing. My smile and bite look exactly like they did before. I hope this review keeps other people from making the same mistake I did.

As you can see in the right photo, my smile is much wider and less "gummy" looking. Another thing I've noticed is that my voice has gotten deeper and and my vocal range broader (I'm a singer) since wearing it...Of course I can't say for sure it's the appliance, but I've heard of similar results in other people. This place is the BEST! You walk in and are greeted by the loveliest of intake admins. Both inside…read moreand out. They are just as cheerful as they are lovely. Makes you want to spend the whole day in the waiting room. But no. They are professional and get you back to the rooms with expediency. Then there's the surgical rockstars. They get you prepped up and keep nice and calm. I don't anxiety when seeing Doctors, but they talk your through it and I bet would keep you nice and calm if you did experience anxiety or fear. They pre-numb you with plenty of gel. Then there's Dr injects you with enough to ensure you're not even remotely uncomfortable during the procedure. Dr. Boquel kept pausing during the lidocaine injections, to ensure I was ok. I have a high pain threshold, but I didn't have any pain at all. I told him I can tolerate a bit of pain, and he was reassuring me saying that He doesn't want me to have any pain at all. I guess other previous surgeons were cheaping out on the lidocaine. This place prioritizes your comfort, and I REALLY appreciate that. Just because someone can take a little pain doesn't mean they should have to. It's the next day after getting HUGE implant screwed into my skull, and I'm feeling no pain. And I literally mean screwed. He was using a little socket wrench tool to screw this thing in. I felt like a car engine being worked on. But seriously, I'm not in any pain. I thought I would need some really good pain killers like oxy; like what you get after an extraction. But no. They prescribe only 600 of ibuprofen, and I only took 2 of those so far. 1 soon as I got home, and 1 right before bed. I don't even think I'll need them at all today. Dr. Boquel has the magic touch!

If you're looking for someone that will be honest, straight to the point, and give you a quick and painless procedure, then Dr. Muul is your guy! I had all my wisdom teeth removed years ago. I was worried, and it was over before I knew it started. Since then, I've gone back twice for growths on my gums. For my most recent visit, the growth was much bigger than before and I really thought it was going to be a terrible procedure. Dr. Muul explained everything that was going to happen. He could tell that I was nervous and said he was going to 'test' the novocaine. But, literally 2 minutes later, it was all done. He gave me an Rx for a one week supply of pain medication, but it was done so well, that I hardly felt a thing even when the novocaine wore off and the days afterward. I never had any complications at all and it healed as if nothing had ever been there. When I returned for a final check-up and care instructions, at my request, he also looked at my x-rays from a new dentist I had gone to and gave me a second opinion on the need for a nightguard. Although he does sell nightguards, he said my dentist should be able to do it, but if they could not, he would be able to help. I strongly endorse Dr. Muul!

Dr. Muul had no bedside manner...he wasn't friendly...or personable and certainly didn't do anything to alleviate my fears or nervousness. He just began discussing my X-ray. I will say that it was a relatively painless procedure(so thumbs up for that) but he didn't take note to the fact that my breathing was labored, my chest was heaving and I was stiff as a board with fear because I had no idea what was happening. I began crying the second I confirmed that he was done and he told me to have a good day without hardly glancing in my direction because he was already talking to the assistant about the next patient. I was asked to fill out a comment card and didn't feel very comfortable actually writing all of this but realize that I should let people know that if they are the types(like myself) who need a bit of kindness and some hand holding when it relates to the dentist/dental procedures...this is probably not the office for you. Are they professional...yes...very! Did I feel the doctor was competent...absolutely...he did a good job and I didn't feel pain at all. The good and the bad...I felt I should share.

The Dentist did a wonderful job to get rid of my toothache, he was compassionate, gentle, and explained the whole procedure while getting fixed. I felt very comfortable, relaxed, and respected. The staff were all wonderful and friendly. I give a big thank you to the Dentists helper, she was wonderful and I can't remember her name. I've never felt so much compassion before. The only con was, it was expensive to get one tooth pulled. I'm on disability and can't afford dentists. I have no insurance, was hoping they'd charge me according to how much I make monthly, but sadly no. If you have dental insurance, I highly recommend.
