Incredible work by Marco and Jessica! We needed serious help to finish a new fireplace installation that had been badly botched by a previous contractor. After interviewing multiple painters we chose to go with the husband/wife team of Marco and Jess because of their portfolio of work and the sense that they would treat our home as their home compared to the more impersonal competitors we met. We also liked that MJ have capabilities beyond painting because we knew that our project might require special handling. Marco and Jess were punctual, communicated timing and expectations perfectly, and kept us in the loop at every step along the way. What I love is that they were problem-solvers. While they identified all important items before the job began, as they progressed some unique factors of our project emerged and they were able to quickly pivot and provide solutions. And those solutions weren't intended to add more hours to beef up the bill. At the end of the project they could easily have wrapped up and left but they made a critical suggestion to help improve the final product beyond what we expected. After we accepted their suggestion it took additional time and effort for them to finish the job, but they were absolutely right with their idea and we are beyond thankful for their insight and expertise. They don't use sub-contractors but have their own crews for bigger jobs. A couple anecdotes to illustrate the level of care they showed. After they were done, I noticed that they were on the hands and knees looking for any little droplets of paint that escaped their coverings. Jess fluffed up pillows and restored the workspace in an extra gesture that no other contractor has ever done. And after I paid them (all at the end-they didn't ask for anything up front) and while we were chatting, Marco happened to notice a tiny paint stroke in a high corner that wasn't as straight as he would have liked. He went back to his vehicle and got everything out to make a quick fix. Everything looks great and I have confidence that if for some reason something went wrong they will stand by their work with no hassles. We have another painting job we'll need done later this year or early next year and I already know that I won't need to put it out for bid. We recently bought a house built in 1900, in need of cosmetic updates, and just after we moved in, we hired them to paint nearly every single room. It looks like a completely different house now! I was blown away by their craftsmanship and how quickly they worked. From the day we met them, Marco & Jess were punctual, thorough, detail-oriented, communicative, and above all, extremely kind. I had a great experience with Marco & Jessica. From the beginning their fee quote was realistic. When they started the job we discovered some shingles that were weak and leaking. They had their carpenter down the next day to repair. We also replaced a few bundles of shingles on the front of the house as it helped improve the look from the older original shingles. Had a great experience with MJ Pro Painting and the owners Marco and Jess. Their attention to detail, willingness and ability to make repairs as needed and customer focus were incredibly refreshing. They were very transparent with price, process and any issues they encountered. They were always reachable and responded quickly, especially with the owners on site daily. We discovered all kinds of issues with our siding and other wooden elements as we went and the team pivoted super quickly to do major repair work with their carpentry team to keep the project largely on time. On the final day, the owner spent much of the day inspecting the house in great detail for any mistakes or missed spots.
