We hired España Painting to prep and paint the exterior of our over 100 year-old house, all siding…read moreand trim. This also included replacing about 20 percent of the shingle siding to match the good that remained, plus certain trim in need. España Painting with Erwin at the helm, is what other service businesses should be. Professional, excellent communcation, prompt and detailed estimates, flexible with pricing options, and straight up about costs. Erwin is always open to questions and kept us informed. Justifiably proud of the work they do. Pricing is fair and competitive, and the quality is outstanding. He wants his work to last. The prep work- it is all about the prep as anyone will tell you- was thorough, and nearly dust-free. Down to bare wood or solid old finish, sanded, primed, and two coats, well-applied. No one can do this level of work without hiring and retaining excellent people, and Erwin clearly has. Victor and David were on-time, respectful of neighbors, generous with automobile covers, and did outstanding work at all levels (and floors!) Not just the painting, but the carpentry. (I have renovated several houses over my lifetime and his crew, the same as were painting, were as good as any I hired in over 40 years.) The painting was crisp and immaculate, The site was cleaned up daily and the inevitable impacts on we the occupants, was held to the absolute minimum. Our house looks as good as new and coming home gives us a little bounce. We heard of España Painting from at least two neighbors, and seeing their work made the decision for us. We are glad we did, and have recommended España Painting to others in the neighborhood.

Incredible work by Marco and Jessica! We needed serious help to finish a new fireplace…read moreinstallation that had been badly botched by a previous contractor. After interviewing multiple painters we chose to go with the husband/wife team of Marco and Jess because of their portfolio of work and the sense that they would treat our home as their home compared to the more impersonal competitors we met. We also liked that MJ have capabilities beyond painting because we knew that our project might require special handling. Marco and Jess were punctual, communicated timing and expectations perfectly, and kept us in the loop at every step along the way. What I love is that they were problem-solvers. While they identified all important items before the job began, as they progressed some unique factors of our project emerged and they were able to quickly pivot and provide solutions. And those solutions weren't intended to add more hours to beef up the bill. At the end of the project they could easily have wrapped up and left but they made a critical suggestion to help improve the final product beyond what we expected. After we accepted their suggestion it took additional time and effort for them to finish the job, but they were absolutely right with their idea and we are beyond thankful for their insight and expertise. They don't use sub-contractors but have their own crews for bigger jobs. A couple anecdotes to illustrate the level of care they showed. After they were done, I noticed that they were on the hands and knees looking for any little droplets of paint that escaped their coverings. Jess fluffed up pillows and restored the workspace in an extra gesture that no other contractor has ever done. And after I paid them (all at the end-they didn't ask for anything up front) and while we were chatting, Marco happened to notice a tiny paint stroke in a high corner that wasn't as straight as he would have liked. He went back to his vehicle and got everything out to make a quick fix. Everything looks great and I have confidence that if for some reason something went wrong they will stand by their work with no hassles. We have another painting job we'll need done later this year or early next year and I already know that I won't need to put it out for bid. Marco and Jess have earned my trust and gratitude for their work and their professionalism. They are also very nice people!

That said, I do know this company did not use a single tarp to prepare the house, leaving all the scrapings, grinding chips and debris to fall to the ground -- in the lawn, flower beds, drive way and walking areas. I can't say enough about their professionalism and quality of work. We have hired other painting company's in the past but never had a company pay so much attention to preparation and cleanup. Sure, the painting came out great but they put so much more into the work than just painting. They vacuumed while they sanded and vacuumed again at the end of each day, washed all the light switch and outlet plates before putting them back on, cleaned the windows and even replaced the seals on the entry door because they had paint on them from the previous painter. The preparation speaks for itself but I think they sanded every square inch. Steve also has a large selection of color boards and excellent eye for assisting you with picking colors. Thanks Steve We love the colors and the work. We would recommend you and your Team to anyone. John & Cindy Massey
