Dan and Gabriel from Sergeant's Electric did a great job installing two surge protectors for me…read more Dan took the time to explain how everything works and what to do if there is ever a problem, which I really appreciated. I also asked them about some battery-operated shades I eventually want to hardwire, and they were very helpful in explaining the options and what they could do. They showed strong problem-solving skills and offered alternate solutions when discussing how to fix issues, which gave me confidence in their work. Their prices also seemed fair and reasonable. I would definitely recommend Sergeant's Electric for anyone looking for knowledgeable, helpful, and trustworthy electricians.

DO NOT USE MUTTS ELECTRIC. I GOT A REQUEST FOR REVIEW BEFORE THE WORK WAS DONE…read more Owner responded by replying saying all customers were notified of his purchase of Jeff Masters Electric. Never got an email. In middle of August Ryan never showed up at a scheduled appointment in Venice. He never called and finally after my calling them when I am standing there with my customer they sent Tim. Tim had no clue what he was doing and no idea how to even talk to us about redoing lights in a commercial space. In the next 2 weeks all I heard from Tim was excuses of why he could not give us a price for work about 60 to 65 lights. Never did here from hi.or Mutt's Electric with any price quote Then called them and set an appointment for today and was quoted over $700 only to change out 2 boxes from plastic to metal ceiling mount. The technician was Darren. When Darren showed up he did not even have a ladder over 6 feet to reach a 12 foot ceiling. Darren gave excuse after excuse. Then about 2 hours later there service manager called and asked what they could do to smooth it over. They want the review taken down. Owner responding and even admitted they raised there prices. However if you google the owner Zachary Mutnik you will find Youtubes and other posts bragging about how much money he is making from his Electric company. Also admits he trucks are operating illegally because they do not have any markings on them. Imagine all of this from someone that wants your money.

I wish things could be different but it seems like most companies i speak with in Florida are the…read moresame and this one is no different. From day 1 I picked this company because I told him I was running gas in the house and what appliances we would have. I told him that we needed a buried gas tank and he confirmed that 500 gallons was enough. I told him that time was important because I needed appliances to be running before we moved in. Thankfully I guess that construction on the home was delayed because I paid a deposit to have the permit started right away April 2nd. Time moves on and finally I call and message and I get the gas company he is hiring to do the work for him said she is waiting for permits that it takes 4-6 weeks. But that this point it has been 6 weeks, but that he didnt pull a permit until April 26th. I was upset enough that the gas lady was nice enough to put me on the schedule in hopes that we would have it back abd that worked. I also mentioned about the house gas being hooked up and she said she knew nothing about it, so I brought it back up to Joe and he blew me off. The gas installers are on site and I point out the gas that needs hooked up and he said he knows nothing about it and he blows me off. Then we are getting to the end now and its my fault for taking him at his word, but Joe tells me that since he got away with not having it in his contract that he won't do it and thats it that he will just put a lean on my house if I dont pay. Well if you chose to hire him make sure its in the contract because 100% Joe is not interested in standing by his word.

Do not hire BOLT Electric. They did a very sloppy job,…read moreovercharged us, and treated us poorly. We (my mom in her 80s, my special needs brother, and myself) hired BOLT in March of 2025. We suffered damage to our home due to Hurricane Helene. The electric was not damaged, but our home's electric was from the 60s, and BOLT said we needed a whole-home rewire. We were desperate to get construction started and get permits approved. Our first mistake was not getting a second option or estimate. Later, we discovered that they overcharged us by 20 to 30 thousand dollars according to industry-standard pricing. They allowed a new electrician at their company to handle our project with no oversight; he was not an Ace at his job. BOLT removed electric outlets in several places in the home and did not replace them. BOLT left an outlet in the bathroom with the old wiring in the wall and just put a plate over it to "make it go away". All light switches and outlets in our home are at random heights. Here is the worst example. There were no outlets or switches on this wall (next to the sink) before they started. The project manager pointed out at our initial meeting that the conduit running along the wall in front of our home was unseemly, and he does not do things like that. After they completed their work, we have conduit running to our porch lights because BOLT took out the old electric lines and did not replace them, and this was their fix. BOLT stepped on an air conditioning line in the attic, told no one, blamed it on condensation. We had to have our garage ceiling fixed. BOLT crushed the ductwork in the attic, and we had to have it all replaced. The electrician we hired to clean up Bolt's mess told us the outlets they used were not appropriate and we had to have several replaced as well as drywall and painting done. BOLT installed the hood vent wiring off-center. BOLT broke one of our new kitchen cabinets installing the stove. BOLT refused to install the dishwasher; "it was the contractor's problem". BOLT also treated my contractor horribly. My belief is that they had an issue with their ethnicity. Any issue we had with the finishes in the home was treated as our fault or we should have known to communicate the problems they created to the contractor. BOLT refused to speak to the contractor about construction requirements in the kitchen; my 80-year-old mother was used as a go-between them though all three of them were in the house at the same time. We moved back into our home in December 2025, though it was still under construction. We could not afford renting anymore. We told BOLT we were moving home. BOLT chose not to turn on the breaker for the hot water heater. We were concerned about touching the panel as it was horribly mislabeled, and the house was still a construction zone. It took BOLT several attempts to label the electric panel correctly. They priced gouged us, costing us $ 15,574.99 plus to fix their mistakes. We thought speaking to the owner, Patrick, would finally get them to do the right thing but after several requests for a meeting, we were finally told by BOLT's office staff that he has nothing to do with the running of the company. He just poses in sunglasses with his chin up holding his jacket for the website. This leaves his staff to do whatever awful things they want to do to the public. They waited for the electric inspection to pass (it took 2 attempts) and then we were ghosted. I believe they saw a widow and her family suffering a devastating loss from a natural disaster as a way to do a cheap job for money. My mom has been hospitalized several times due to the stress this whole situation has caused our family. Do not hire this BOLT; they will not be honest; they will blame you whenever they can. We did try mediation, but the person "in charge" does not like confrontation, as explained by the office staff; that is why he ran out of the meeting after less than 5 minutes.

This week I was in my attic and while there shined the light around to just check things out. I noticed a large area pretty far back where the insulation was oiled up. I worked my way back only to find that when the ran the power cables through my attic they pulled back about 10 feet of the insulation on to of my ceiling to pull the cable. That was fine but they failed to put the insulation back which left my ceiling area bare and non insulated for the past year. Shows low attention to detail when finishing a job. The good is the service tech that came to the home for the first yearly service. He was very professional and checked with me to go over his findings. Mostly good but he said there was a rusty mounting bolt inside housing and suspected the sprinkler hits it alongside a corroded coupling o. The gas line caused by same. After he left I check and the sprinkler has not been on for more than 6 months but the spray did not hit it anyway. Also water really can't get inside the housing. What I did see is one rusty bolt and three others that looked new. I suspect the three bolts are good quality SS and the rusty one is a defective SS bolt or not as at all. As for the coupling, it gets hit by rain water all the time so it should not be rusting. I cleaned both for now and sprayed with T9. I plan on buying a new SS bolt and replacing the one inside myself. The rest of the work performed looked to be a job well done.
