When I call Venice Electric, I spoke to Dionne, He was extremely helpful, said they were busy, but he went OUT OF HIS WAY, to say, he would contact all the guys in the field and see if one could swing by in between jobs..At any rate, I thought he was just saying that. 1 hour later Spencer one of their electricians showed up at our jobsite, and he could not have been MORE professional. He took his time to figure out the problem, it turned out, the builder in this brand new community, had botched wiring, and Spencer went out of his way to check all the outlets in the home. Anyway, he fixed it all, even know this was really not our company's fault, we of course had to pay as our machine triggered the power outage. It was a HAPPY mistake, because the homeowners now were aware of the shotty work the builder did to their home, and we became HEROS because of Spencer and Dionne. They really saved the day. Josh showed up on time, was informative, did a nice job of labeling the panel in detail, and then neatly cleaned up the job site when finished. He had to cut into the wall to gain access, and he used a razor instead of a drywall saw, so it would be easier for me to patch later. I would not hesitate to call them first next time. At first contact I was told that there would be a two man team for $ 140/ hr. not per manhour Which I was eventually billed. This was a surprise as one of the men was in training but still was billed at $140. Secondly, when I had called I explained one Of my needs was getting my boat lift to work again. After completion of their work I was told one side of the lift didn't work and that they don't work on boat lifts. They did get the power. Working out to the lift but that's not the purpose of hiring them. When I was out in the yard the following day I found that the cover plate had not been reinstalled on one of the junction boxes that were worked on. Another task was to figure out...never mind. Just wasn't a good experience.

Bob's was hired to install new outside lights at Villas II at St Andrews Park at Plantation. My old…read moregarage light was poorly installed, with lots of silicone used to mask the poor fitting to the wall. The electrician took some silicone off before installing the new light, but left enough to leave the light still ill-fitting. When asked to look at it, he did, and said, "it's just silicone", and walked away. I removed the light and found that there was missing stucco at the top of the mounting location that he had to have seen, so I removed the rest of the silicone and used stucco patch to fill in where stucco was missing. Silicone was not needed to protect from rain when I was done. The electrician gets ZERO stars from me!
