Pork has crispy skin with juicy tender meat. It is so good! Get it when you are in the area. Hopia is also very good, and have many different type of flavors for you to try. Go go go.

Or making a dish with it? all while laughing. It makes absolutely no sense. Why did he need to ask that? Why did he need to keep laughing? It is one thing to be friendly, and another to do that. Also it does not matter what it's for, but why did he feel compelled to make those comments? I of course said thank you and stayed kind because that's who I am but after I felt completely attacked. Now onto the food, lumpia was actually delicious. So hopia was not my thing, but definitely some of the best lumpia I've had. It just can't change my experience so unfortunately I will not be back. Thank you. This is based off of the hopia dessert which I tried the one other time I went into this restaurant (was horrid), and my experience today. I will update this once I actually taste the lumpia. I was just so shocked by this employee that I couldn't wait to post a review. Now I don't know his name, but the guy working the front end seemed friendly...until I asked for the larger or largest sweet and sour. I was on hold on a phone call at the same time because I was on a work lunch, and quickly popped in here to grab something, so my mind was fuzzy. Rather than say the 2oz size which may not be the size I wanted, I said largest or biggest side sweet and sour. The guy laughed and held his hands up to make a motion like widening them and said biggest? I said yes the bigger one towards the end. Shook his head and laughed again. Now I don't know what other reason this was funny other than my size maybe? I'm heavier so maybe that was funny to him. It was just rude and honestly weird. I stayed sitting on hold and waited for my order, and once it was ready he just had to ask "is this just for you or is your family making something with it?" I was shocked (still sitting on hold too) and said my family loves sweet and sour so why not and he said "ok I just had to ask" while laughing. Really? You just had to? Did I order a gallon of sauce? Did I ask for something you don't openly sell to customers all day long? I can't possibly think of anything else other than it being so funny, and me being judged because of my weight. So I will never step foot in here again. The hopia is not good anyway which is why it's been over a year since I've gone there. It was flavorless, dry, just disgusting. Apparently aside from the food being horrible quality, you will also be shamed and laughed at. Repulsive behavior and unacceptable. Second and last time trying to give this place a shot. Not worth it. The sauce isn't even filled hahah

We love their soup dishes: sinigang, nilaga, and bulalo. Great comfort food and the servings are generous. Miki bihon and sotanghon are also a hit and each order can easily feed up to 4 people. Items are fairly priced and appreciate the generous portions and homestyle cooking. We have a lot of filipino spots where we live but this place just hits the spot and the additional delivery fees are worth it.

I have been known to use a hundred words when ten will do, I'm sorry but I get excited about food. It has been my life since I began cooking for my family at nine. Anyway, there have been improvements here. The place is nice, it's simple, classy and still have that same welcome to your friends place kind of feel, except with great food! Now I have had almost everything on the menu but today was my first time trying the all day breakfast. I started with spring rolls and wontons. They were perfectly fried, light and crispy while being dense with flavor. That cup of soup you see there may be small but it holds tidal waves of flavor. It was sweet, it was savory and it hit the spot. My breakfast even though I showed up in the afternoon was Tapsilog Filipino style marinated beef, fried until tender and slightly caramelized , served with two cups of rice topped with garlic and two fried eggs. Now individually every part of this meal was perfect. However once you get a little bit of that egg hold with the garlic rice and meat the explosion of flavor is incredible! As always since I forgot to mention it the owner and staff were as inviting and friendly as ever. Honestly if you love Filipino food and you haven't been here then your robbing yourself of a great experience.

All of the dishes were well presented and of good portion sizes. The Beef Pares and Chicken flavors are next level and would definitely be my go-to dishes in future. Highly recommended, and another great option if you're looking for Filipino food, yet want a change from the regular spots in the seafood city area.

This eatery provides both excellent customer service and delicious classic and traditional Filipino dishes. We recently had a back to back celebration at The Original Barrio Fiesta of Manila both on a Saturday during lunch and one for late afternoon. One celebration was for our child's birthday party and one for our child's graduation party. Thank you always to the awesome and sweet staff at The Original Barrio Fiesta of Manila. Thank you Nina and Paolo, you guys are always so kind and accommodating. Our child and some of the children in our party have food allergies to peanuts and tree nuts. The staff made sure not serve anything with peanuts and tree nuts like Kare Kare. We had about 35 people for one party and 52 for another. We ordered several dishes on the menu like their famous Crispy Pata, Boneless Milkfish, Nilagang Baka, Calamari, Chop Suey, Pancit, Chicken Adobo, Fried Chicken and Lumpia. All the food was cooked to perfection. To name a few, the Nilagang Baka was flavorful and the beef was tender. Calamari was crispy and not too salty. Boneless Milkfish was excellent, Fried Chicken was yummy and not overcooked. Chicken Adobo was right on point with the vinegar. The Original Barrio Fiesta of Manila is one of our go to favorite eateries in the San Fernando Valley. They are consistent when it comes to providing excellent customer service and delicious food.
