I don't like the noise when they make the salads. It's very loud when you have five guys shaking and mixing ingredients in steel bowls all at once. I think I'll stick to ordering my bowls online so I can just run in and out. This location is basically the same size as Oakland's... but it's in San Francisco! Soo don't come right at lunchtime, it can be claustrophobic. Actually, it might be a smidge smaller than Oakland's.... so yeah, don't come righht at noon! Save your nerves. Got a bachelor salad again, but with the dressing mixed in. The meat and potatoes got mixed right in too so they weren't warm like I had at the other location. Maybe there is a real difference between having it done in front of you and ordering ahead of time online! Either way, glad there's a healthy spot deep in the busy financial district if you need one!

New Year's is two weeks away, but I was so eager to wait in line for a delicious salad. I tried many different lunch styles in each of my previous visits. It's about time I aim to consume mostly greens. Not an entree; just a light snack. Here in MIXT, I took a rare opportunity to try this place out. I had been interested in buying me a huge salad prepped in a clear recyclable container. Lines weren't too long so they moved quickly to order theirs. After I chose "Be Well" from the salad menu, I still had to select which ingredients go into the first worker's steel bowl. On the other hand, it's better for me to quickly say "no eggs"; otherwise, my "Be Well" salad turned out not well to me. My salad must be absolutely vegan made with supergreens and plant based proteins, nothing else. I saw how the first worker stir the salad rapidly like a centrifuge, dropping few bits of quinoa and lentils. Nothing's fancy, so all it takes was to get the job done. With a free cup of cucumber water, I rather eat inside since the weather is chilly outside. Love the vegetal and nutty flavors in my salad! Takes a lot of chewing with grains and all. The cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette had a little spicy kick to it. After finishing the whole salad, I started to have a lingering green onion after taste. I would like to smile, but I forget to ask for a toothpick since I had some greens stuck in the back of my teeth. Anyways, "Be Well" is truly a healthier choice. I would be glad to come back for a same salad if I feel like it.

I love this place.! The employees are very friendly (particularly at this location) They know me by name and know what I order. If you are ever unsure of what you want to eat, ask them for suggestions. They are the salad experts and have a salad for just about anyone. The cashiers are also friendly and always in a good mood which makes my experience a pleasant one. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone. If you are looking to beat the lunch rush, get your salad early in the morning or after 1pm. I never have to wait for my lunch Thanks Daniel, Emma, Marcelo and the entire team.

Update: found giant piece of black hair in my salad last week and my mix dude forget 4 of the ingredients in my Falef salad including the avocado so safe to say this Mixt is not pulling through like they usually do. Also lines have been absolutely ridiculous lately. But mainly the hair. Ewwwwwwww Probably one of the most populated lunch spots in the financial district on any given weekday. I'm always looking for something healthy at lunch that can give me energy for the rest of the work day. They salads at mixt are big and well worth the price. I tried the Telluride salad with no meat, extra avocado. The sriracha ranch dressing was top notch. All the flavors just really hit the spot. I love the seasonal salads for this winter, I wish they offered them year round. Your salad is going to run you at least $11 and most are around $15-$16 with tax. Tip: if you ask for your dressing on the side, they put more salad in y

Didn't find my $15 salad too impressive. Lots of lettuce but not that many toppings. Added Ahi Tuna and it had a flavorful crust. That was it. Purchased the Disco for my colleague and I found it rather on the small side. I know he's not full.

I love Mixt greens- I do my usual once to twice a week online order pick up here religiously. They always prepare it right or make it right if I notice it is missing anything. Today I found a BUG- a MOTH WITH WINGS deep in my salad. Mind you I was already halfway through and then felt the insane urge to puke. I am also not someone who gets grossed out easily- usually I move that part of the food away and go on. But this is DISGUSTING. Trying to get rid of the feeling of wanting to puke is pretty hard after seeing that. I went back half salad and all to show them and they offered my money back which I of course accepted but sorry this location, and most likely Mixt Greens in general, has completely lost my business.

This location is quite smaller than the one on mission. The line however still moves along nicely, as there are many people working on the salad bar. The steak I got the salad could not compare with the other locations I've had though. It felt cold, and refrigerated, perhaps cooked in the morning. The mixed greens, and baby spinach are what you'd expect. A pleasant surprise was the cilantro jalapeno vinaigrette! It was sweet, spicy and tangy. If you're looking for a grab and go, this is the place to go. If you're looking for a place to sit down and have a conversation, maybe try the space outside, theres poor lighting and little space to sit indoors.

Salad world is right here. You can find any kind of salad here with very interesting names. Lines are SUPER long. Portions are huge, I never can finish a whole salad, $12 is a reasonable price, you can split it for two meals. I ordered the Cowboy salad, it was pretty decent and mixed pretty well with the sauce, meats and salads. I haven't got the chance to try their other salads because I always give up waiting in line. Just nobody got the time to that haha, money is time and time is money.

There seem to be a lot of Mixt in the fidi. Ingredients were all high quality and very fresh but be ready to spend around 15 for a chicken ceasar salad.

I came with a group of friends who were all tourists and first timers to Boudin, and they were all so happy and satisfied with their meals. Everyone ordered a bread bowl with a soup (clam and crab chowder). The sourdough bread bowl was so soft and actually had that sour taste to it that some sourdoughs lack. The portion size is great for the price of $15. Despite being a busy tourist destination, the cafe is very efficient with ordering and food service. They are really on top of it! There's lots of outdoor seating and limited indoor seating. There are free water cups for diners. There is a bathroom upstairs. Definitely would consider this as a must-try when you're visiting San Francisco! It's in a prime location that's walking distance to many attractions such as Lombard St and Pier 39. Along with yummy food, they also have many other pastries, including cutely shaped sourdoughs.

When the dish landed, I was initially impressed. But after the first bite, it felt a bit like the Wizard of Oz: impressive presentation hiding something less substantial underneath. Their lasagna is a sort of deconstructionist take on the classic dish. The noodles are cooked and layered almost naked between barely any pockets of filling. There were a few tidbits of meat, maybe sauce and no cheese within the layers themselves. The noodles are then baked, cut, plated, and topped with what I'd guess was about a 6 oz ladle of their bolognese, finished with finely pre-grated parmesan. The first bite was overwhelmingly pasta-forward. It took me a moment to understand how the dish had been assembled against my expectations. Once I cut into it and spread everything out, it became clear this wasn't the kind of lasagna I think of when ordering lasagna. It didn't check the familiar boxes - a rich ragù, maybe a creamy béchamel, or the sharp, salty depth of cheeses layered throughout. The dish lacked the complexity and savory comfort I was craving and expecting. Another miss was the homemade flatbread (which I went back and paid cash for, so it wasn't included in the total). Traditional Italian flatbread is a yeast-free bread made with flour, olive oil or lard, salt, and water or milk, then rolled thin and cooked until crisp yet chewy. This version tasted like flour, lard, and water. It wasn't crisp or chewy. As soon as I started chewing, it turned into an unappetizing doughy mass in my mouth. After the first quarter-piece, I didn't eat anymore. As for everything else, I arrived around 7:15 on a Saturday night, and the inside was packed with a small line to the door. The outdoor tables weren't full, but it was summer in San Francisco, more people were jockeying for seats inside than out. But I wasn't too concerned and I got there around 7, so all that is on me. There were a few specials written on a chalkboard, and the cashier was awesome while explaining those. They were incredibly patient. I apologized for holding up the line, and in a very Italian way, they assured me it was my right to make sure I ordered exactly what I wanted. That interaction honestly stood out as one of the better parts of the experience. I grabbed a table just as one opened up, helped myself to water a few times from the station, and my food arrived in about 20 minutes which wasn't bad considering how busy they were. There's been a bit of internal conflict with this review. I usually don't like judging a restaurant based on a single dish, especially a restaurant with so many positive reviews. But I also don't spend as much time in that part of the city anymore, and there are simply too many other places I still want to try. Unfortunately, while there was some good-looking food on other tables, if a restaurant's claim of lasagna as its signature dish doesn't hold up, the first visit just didn't do enough to pull me back for a second chance.
