I absolutely love love love Mix Bakery!!! I come here maybe a couple times a week!! I cannot leave without a lemon bar!! They are just the right amount of tart and are soft!! My kids love it here and always ask me to bring Mix Bakery cupcakes home for them! They fight over the Oreo cupcake and the Cinnamon!! The people here are the friendliest in town and you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. I have tried most everything they have or my kids have too.We have tried the brownies, the various cupcakes, cookie sandwiches, the Slice of the day, the lemon bars, the mini cream pies, the cake pops... I have introduced many of my coworkers to Mix and they also love it!! We have "cupcake Friday" at work!! The whipped cream was so thick and had no flavor whatsoever. Strawberry Pie was ok not the best I'm so glad **11/21-Merced has a nice bakery. 90% out of 100% for me. The cake was beautiful made with a delicious coffee taste in the middle filling. But we were told the cake itself would have been soaked in coffee liqueur but was a little disappointed when I bit into the cake with no coffee liquor taste. Overall wonderful cake. Came in really early, but soooo excited that there is a fresh cupcake/dessert shop in town. Positives were that the cupcakes are nice and moist, and the lemon bars are delicious. Have not tried the cookies or the brownies but will definitely return to give those a try. The staff was really friendly, the frosting on the cupcakes is a little too sweet and they are a little over priced but so far so good! I was excited to try this place since the pastries looked pretty good in pictures regardless of the location. When I came in, both of the workers seemed rude and annoyed. When I asked about a cake order, she told me she l wouldn't be able to make it because the cake would have to be placed 4-6 weeks in advanced from the time of my event. The funny thing is, that I hadn't told her the date of my event yet, it would have been two months away from today. The fact that she didn't want to make it, which showed in how she responded, is enough for me to not go back ever again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
