They have one of the best funnel cake trucks with amazing fried Oreos, sooo good!!! Treat Dreams has an ice cream truck with their famous flavors. The ice cream cookies are the absolute best!!! They have an eclectic variety of food trucks that look and smell mouthwatering. But they could use more seating, it's very limited compared to the amount of people eating the goodies. I love the adult beverages available to purchase through tickets. They have a ginormous variety of beer and mixed drinks, plus some of the money goes toward different charities and good causes. It's ten tickets for $20, but this year I noticed you may purchase individual tickets. I prefer this option! Tickets are $2 a piece, so most beers cost around $6 or three tickets. I got the Griffinclaw pumpkin beer. It was amazing! Very pumpkin forward with a nice spice aftertaste. Most of the mixed drinks are between three and four tickets, cheaper than most bars. I've even seen some for two tickets. The parking can be challenging. We were able to find a good spot and only paid $3.00. But I wonder if it gets more challenging in the evening hours. I bet this a fun time at night. This is a great event when paired with the Funky Ferndale fair. I look forward to next year.

I have been to a few improv shows here in the past…read more The seating is very basic, provides an intimate feel with the Improv troupe. Narrator takes themes and prompts from the crowd. It challenges you and helps you think quick on your feet. Must be able to handle extemporaneous changes in themes too. I also have a friend that participated in the Improv school / program and found it useful. Helped my friend come out of his shell more, not so much funnier in his delivery. You either have it or you don't. I found it amusing and very clear cut who among the troupe excelled at improv. Only a few tend to stand out each show. Kudos to all for their effort nonetheless, it's not easy to do in front of bunch of strangers.

Every Thursday at 7 PM, they host trivia with Jonathan from Quizzo -- six rounds covering different topics with chances to win prizes like gift cards. That's the kind of midweek plan that turns a regular Thursday into something to look forward to. And if that's not enough, axe throwing is part of the experience too, in partnership with Detroit Axe Ferndale. Axe throwing has seriously become one of the most fun social activities out right now, and having expert Axe Masters guide you through it makes it even better. There's nothing like that satisfying thunk when the axe hits the target. We liked the fairy and took some pictures. I got some crystal candy from a vendor, it was so delicious. I also bought a fun witch oven mitt from the Tea Room store, I love it, it works really well. You would not think so, but not all oven mitts are equal, some are not effective when you actually need it. We will be back and also look forward to their future fairs.

I went yesterday for a friend's birthday party and it was a lot of fun. It was easy to sign up and pay online beforehand ($40). I didn't know what we would be creating until we arrived - I'm not sure if my friend chose that, or PWAT chose for her. I think our instructor's name was Rachel, and she was very good. I'm not really good at painting, my painting came out okay overall IMO though. You're allowed to bring drinks and food, I think my friend and some of the other attendees brought some alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and some snacks. The class is two hours long and you'll leave with a nice painting of your own creation. They also had a contest mid-class where we could guess the number of wine corks in a big bottle, and I was the winner! (I was only four off - I won't tell you the # though because I think they do this every class) Because of that, I was able to choose a painting from the wall, and I really love the one I chose. I believe these paintings are done by instructors. Overall I'd come back here again although it's a little bit of an expensive habit if you go often ($40 each time).

I usually park on the residential street behind the venue because by the time I arrive, the surrounding parking lots are all full. This works out in my favor though because I have not had to pay for parking. You enter through the back where they check your ID and scan your ticket. They have a nice little seating area with benches towards the back and a decent sized area for a "pit" where you would watch the show. All of their drinks seem fairly priced for a music venue. I paid $8 for a Bell's Oberon Eclipse. It does get SUPER hot in there, especially if you are in the mix closer to the stage. I feel like the music sounds pretty good here and I usually leave feeling super pleased with my experience.
